I haven't gotten to the first boss battle yet, but in general I've never been a fan of boss battles in most games (Mass Effect 2 is one of the only exceptions I can remember off the top of my head, and a few of those I didn't care for either).
They might prove a "nice" challenge and a break from the regular gameplay, but usually I just consider them annoyances that force me through extended stints of pattern memorizing and frantic running for cover. Too things I...

I still can't believe EA has been the sole company sitting on the Porsche license for so many years now. Either they must be paying a fortune for it, or the EA lawyers conned the Porsche lawyers back when the deal was made. Probably the latter :).

If this isn't a joke article, I assume this game must have the worst interface in the history of gaming?

I'm looking forward to finding out on Friday.

The PS3 (and the 360) is maxed out, and if I didn't already happen a while ago (you could easily argue years ago) - 720p, 30 fps is reason enough for a hardware upgrade in my opinion - it most certainly is now that we're seeing more or less severe visual or framerate trade-offs to make the most graphically intensive games run in stereoscopic 3D, of which Sony is such a big proponent (something I fully support as I love my 3D TV and would love to use it more frequently for gaming witho...

Yep, it's free - although, as with all f2p games, there are obviously very tangible benefits to paying for certain things, first and foremost a premium membership which significantly boosts the XP and money earning rate.

And it's a stretch to call it an MMO. In terms of it's online matchmaking features it's really much, much closer to a typical online first person shooter (although the gameplay itself feels very different).

Great game thou...

I didn't even know they were working on yet another one. Great news though - while I've never quite gotten around to put the ungodly number of hours into any of the X games as they deserve, I've still countless hours of entertainment out of the series.

I've been waiting for VR headsets since I first saw (but unfortunately never tried) those huge, ugly headsets in arcades back in the early 90s.

Actually I did :). Normally I hate spammers, but I've been meaning to check out Google+.

I wouldn't mind some PS3 footage either. I expect I'll buy the PC version at some point for all the mods that will no doubt be released - and the better framerate and graphics - but I'm very tempted to buy the PS3 version first and enjoy it with a controller and in "pseudo 3D" (2D to 3D conversion, which has proved quite impressive in a lot of video content and some games) on my 51" 3D TV.

And before all the usual "you can connect your PC to ...

Games benefit from great voice actors (and familiarity probably also plays a significant role, I'm sure many of us are fans of certain voice actors these days), whether they happen to be well known stars in other media - movies, TV - is probably less important.
Although I will admit that I have been very pleased when eg. TV actors I like (Claudia Black, Yvonne Strahovski and Adam Baldwin to name a few) have lent their voices to popular games (or the other way around, I just finis...

Looks a whole lot like grappling/parachute traversing in Just Cause 2. Which is certainly not a bad thing.

Edit: Looks like Bay beat me to it above :).

2015?! I sure as hell better have had a PS4 in my living room for at least a year by then.
Before I bought a 3D TV a couple of months ago I could maybe have imagined still being satisfied with my PS3 for another couple of years to come, but after seeing how much the system struggles to cope with graphics intensive games in stereoscopic 3D, I would buy a PS4 tomorrow if I could.

I've just started playing World of Tanks again yesterday (played it in beta some months ago) and the gameplay makes for a really nice change of pace compared to the usual fast paced infantry shooters.
And with a ton of things to upgrade and level up, it also adds an extra layer for those of us who like a splash of "RPG light" rewards in many games.

I'm looking forward to seeing what they can do with planes, but if joysticks or gamepads are going t...

And it's a straight console port complete with awkward mouse controls and a framerate that's locked at 30 fps (and the only graphics settings are resolution and refresh rate).

It's also not anywhere near as graphically impressive as a preview video I watched some months ago had led me to believe.

Well, I guess it's worth forcing myself to play a bit more to see if I can overcome the flaws - although at the moment I'm feeling far more l...

This, Bastion and From Dust on Steam over the next couple of days. I imagine I'll have a busy week :).

We (well, some of us at least) "need" to care about new consoles because 720p - or less - at a barely stable 30 fps just isn't cutting it. And it never really did.
Add 3D to the mix and you usually get a bunch of additional visual trade-offs, and potentially even worse performance.

We need a new generation of consoles before I'll be ready to fully enjoy most 3D games.
I love my new plasma 3DTV - for the few 3D Blu-ray movies, for the often surprisingly effective 2D to 3D conversion feature and for some games, plus for it's stellar image quality in general, 2D or 3D - but the current generation consoles simply don't have the power to run the most graphically intensive games in stereoscopic 3D without more or less severe graphical trade-offs, whether ...

I love my new 51" plasma 3D TV, but several games have been a bit of a let down and KZ3 probably more so than any other.
Amazing 3D depth, but the visual trade-offs are huge with an image that almost looks like it's running standard definition.

While some games have managed to pull of 3D very well - MotorStorm Apocalypse is probably the most impressive - my general impression remains that the current generation consoles simply don't have the processing...

I'm really looking forward to the PC release on Steam in a couple of days. Looks like a great game, and with a fantastic art style.

You can never really go wrong with wenches and whores. Well, you can, but only if you're really drunk or have lousy taste or not enough cash on you.
