Yeah, I'm going to have to vote for books too. Movies and TV second, games last (out of that bunch). Although it's certainly quite plausible that at some point in the future games could take second place.

100/100?

I loved the game - so much in fact that's it's one of my favourite open world racers ever - but that's a damn high score :).
I'd probably give it around a 90/100.

Well, the 360 still doesn't support Logitech wheels (I have a G25), so even if I still had both consoles (never replaced my 360 when it died back in late 2009) the PS3 version of just about any multi-platform racing game would be the only good choice.

Or PC - which is what I did with F1 2010 - but I recently converted my PC setup to a standing workplace, and since I didn't feel like spending a small fortune on a height adjustable desk at the time, it's either st...

I've been playing the PC version for 13 hours and only run into minor glitches. But if the PC version is indeed a patch or two ahead of the consoles, there's probably hope for the latter as well.

Bugs aside, it's a hugely enjoyable game in my opinion, and while I would have perhaps leaned towards an 8/10 score after the first few hours, it's firmly in 9/10 territory for me now.

"PC patch coming soon?"

The PC version is already at 1.2.0 - I had assumed that was a patch or two ahead of the consoles because there's no lengthy certification process to go through?
Not that that aren't some bugs left to fix in another patch or several :).

I've been debating whether to buy this game. I liked the demo, but the low number of tracks - even if they are varied in looks and layouts - has made me a bit hesitant.
On the other hand, it's not exactly an expensive game, and I've paid a whole lot more for a whole lot less many times before :).

It's worth mentioning though that some of the 2D to 3D converted movies actually look quite impressive.
Alice in Wonderland can at its best almost pass for native 3D for instance (and it was apparently shot with 3D in mind) - in fact it's in my opinion significantly more impressive than a movie like Tron: Legacy, which has relatively subtle 3D.

The trailer I've seen for The Lion King also looks like quite a lot of work and care went into the conversion....

I've been playing the PC version for ten hours and I haven't come across more than minor glitches yet.
I'm really glad I decided to buy the game after all, I've been having a blast so far. At least worth an 8/10 in my opinion, and in terms of pure fun so far it's higher than that.

I'm around eight hours into the PC version and I'm very happy I ended up buying the game after much hesitation.
It truly is a lot of fun, and so far I've been spared of any noteworthy bugs (the PC version is up to version 1.2, I don't know if the console versions are still a patch or two behind due to the lengthy console certification process for patches?).
I don't even particularly mind the save system, although I won't deny it could be better.

I was really unsure about whether to get this game (and if so also whether I should opt for the PS3 or the PC version). Reviews weren't terrible, but there seemed to be a lot of negative player feedback both regarding bugs as well as general gameplay and design, and several of the reviews also made it sound like it has many frustrating sections for particularly solo players.

In any case, I finally decided to buy the Steam version a few hours ago, and after some minor tw...

Until the next generation of consoles with the actual power to properly render stereoscopic 3D, the major 3D titles (ie. usually the most graphics intensive) are going to either limp along at barely playable framerates, or suffer more or less severe visual trade-offs.

And then there are those like Resistance 3 that seem to do a little bit of both - dropping slightly in both performance and visuals, but not critically so. It is however still not exactly a razor sharp looking...

Might be worth giving another look. I played it for around a month right after launch and quite enjoyed the setting and the sandbox nature.
Though as with all but a few MMOs I've tried, I wasn't quite hooked enough to keep continue playing.

"Chest mechanics"? Is that look "boob physics" in Dead or Alive or Soul Calibur? :)

Well, if doesn't come down I guess we can always hope it reaches escape velocity at some point instead, so we don't have to deal with it here on Earth any more :).

I'm so relieved to have this confirmed by an blogger - I was really a bit worried that my inclination to play as FemShep, or buying the occasional game with a female protagonist, might be an indication of deep seated issues related to gender confusion and sexuality.

I guess now I can safely just go ahead and guide those protagonists through their respective games as if I was merely controlling them with a gamepad or a keyboard.

And I really hope this ...

Not the least bit overhyped. Unless things take a turn for the worse later in the game (I'm around eight hours in) it's among the best and most addictive I've played in recent years.

1. Not having an androgynous, gender confused emo teenager with a pathetic, melodramatic sob story as the protagonist.

I've tried to like JRPGs, I really have - on PS2, 360 and PS3 - but the characters, dialogue and story are virtually always nausea inducing and just so plain... foreign.
Shame, because I usually really enjoy the turn based combat systems in JRPGs.

New cars for the win! I don't really care for all that classic cars (muscle cars in particular) bullshit :).

I finally got around to playing the demo today, and based on that it's unlikely I would consider getting this game. A lot of the other demo feedback I've read has been downright negative.
However, given the surprisingly high review scores so far, I guess I might give a try.

Shame there's no steering wheel support though - even another ultra arcade racer like Motorstorm Apocalypse has just added that, and the implementation is surprisingly good.
