I'm so disappointed
My theory is that Patcher is just a computer program that strings together gaming-related nouns with dollar amounts and/or dates.
I wonder what that Gears of War 3 article will look like. Probably random concept art from the first two games mixed with things that can't possibly be wrong. "Gears of War 3 will be arriving within the next few years. The game will be in the third person perspective, with heavy use of a cover system. The story will most likely continue where the 2nd game left off, and it's rumored that the character you control will be Bender Bending Rodriguez."
Maybe they meant Go...
"Yensid"
Zing!
I thought you could swap out specific weapon parts in borderlands to continuously improve the guns you have? I remember reading that somewhere, but it was a long time ago (before they changed the graphics style) so it easily could've been scrapped.
Patcher's still getting paid for this, ey?
Woops!
Whatever, it's not like we all didn't know it was coming anyway.
I understand the comparison to cinema, but I think TRYING to equate games with film undermines video games as a medium. Like the author says, new mediums don't replace old ones, and I feel that the constant comparisons to cinema are weighing down interactive narrative from coming into its own and maturing "side by side with its predecessors."
But that's just my opinion, and I'm also drunk. And the only reason I'm drunk is because my TV is currently being occupied by a...
An hour and a half til I can pick it up... AAAARRRRRGHHHHHH
Yeah, I have no problem with reduced graphics quality for the sake of split-screen co-op. I understand that Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2 didn't want to sacrifice their visual fidelity, but let's face it, if both those titles reduced their graphics quality to do split-screen, they'd probably look better than most games out there anyway. My theory is that doing split-screen would've required an install from these install-less games.. if that's the case, I'd gladly sit through an optional instal...
My 360 deleted my Mass Effect game save :-(
Actually I'm really pissed about it, because it also deleted Bring Down the Sky and when I try to download again it prompts me to buy it again. All PC from now on.
Yeah I remember hearing that someone saw the source code for it like a year or so ago. Obviously it's no kind of confirmation but my fingers are crossed.
What I think is worth noting is that Demon's Souls is knocking on the top 10's door, real interesting. Both standard and special edition are like 11 and 12ish.
I think if they ended up charging, it wouldn't be IW's doing. Remember who the publisher is..
Please dear jesus let it be Jade Empire 2. Obviously a true KOTOR 3 would be ideal but that seems out of the cards for a long time.
uh-DEEERRRRRR
Also turn-based ANYTHING
I'm just glad I don't own an Arcade
Deus Ex 3 is on the way. I doubt it'll match the quality of the first one, but I'm confident it'll be better than the 2nd. The 2nd wasn't too great but I still liked it a lot, there's so few games with that tone and mood in the game world that I couldn't help but enjoy it.
WOOF that's a lot of disagrees. I wasn't trashing Gears of War, I was remarking at the fact that nothing has been revealed whatsoever about Gears 3 and the cover of EGM has it casually listed as part of a preview feature for next year. All we know is that someone from Epic said it probably won't be out on this hardware cycle, so it's obviously not coming out next year.
