That's awesome. They'll probably do something similar for Australia since their ratings board wouldn't budge.

They own a digital distribution platform, if they were smart they'd stay independent. And Valve is pretty fuking smart, despite their unreasonable reluctance to give the PS3 a whirl.

Are you kidding? Sixaxis sniper rifle was AWESOME. Your aim was as steady as your hands, it rocked. And you could even use it subtly help your aiming if you had trouble being precise with the analog stick. I sure hope they keep that.

Fck p2p. I don't wanna pay $10 extra for them to maintain their sh!tty IWnet when the alternative is cheaper AND better for everyone. This feeds into my theory that no one will top Valve. It's incredible how this ordeal has changed my opinion of L4D2 from "rip-off" to "amazing value by comparison." And suddenly I care about Battlefield Bad Company 2.

At the very least, they could have some kind of certification process where IW has to approve of dedicated ...

Macs definitely break. The only people I know who've owned a single macbook more than 2 years have had massive failures like HDD crashing crop up completely out of nowhere and completely without warning. The other people I know who own macs can afford to drop $1000-2000 on a new laptop every year, so that's not really an issue for them.

Of course, those people probably didn't do the routine maintenance they should've been doing, but the point is, they still break.

Yeah, definitely childish. Despite agreeing with pretty much all of Apples critiques of Windows whenever they pop up, and despite hating Microsoft as a company... I just hate Apple SO much more. My favorite was when they said that Apple computers never ever get viruses... ever. That's just totally true and completely factual in every possible way, and not misleading in any sense of the word.

Nice avatar!

On topic though, they DO realize that 360 games cost as much as PS3 games, right? ...right??

The "Halo Killer" label was a product of the media, definitely not Sony or Guerilla. Also, [insert comment about PS3 owners having a diverse interest in the genres of games they're into].

Yeah, I definitely agree. The gameplay itself was just too linear. It didn't encourage you to think for yourself, and if you kept dying over and over it was because there was a weapon drop somewhere that you were missing. I was hoping for more massive, open battles like the first one, but the level design itself was more linear this time around. A good game, but it suffered from an identity crisis in the level and gameplay design areas. The fact that Insomniac is taking fan critique to h...

.......Red Dead Redemption? I'm guessing that's a section for trailers?

I woke up this morning and suddenly realized that I am absolutely AMPED for AC2. It kind of snuck up on me out of nowhere, but seeing the summary of the OXM review and hearing that pretty much every complaint they had with the first game has been fixed made my excitement shoot through the roof. I can't wait, it looks amazing.

"Really no animator could animate enough animations to produce the same look that we've been able to do by mixing and matching, by layering animations on top of each other, by blending between animations even of different layers."

Meaning that it'd take a absolutely forever to program every single animation in the game without using a procedural animation system like they did. Not that no other developer could ever achieve the same animation flow as them and that their...

They delayed the Steam release 2 days, AND it's still $60. AND there's still no hope of dedicated servers.

This whole thing makes me wanna puke all over Bobby Kotick's head.

(if you can tell me what that line is a reference to, I'll give you a bubble for your in depth knowledge of awesome TV shows)

I certainly didn't expect to see Dune 2 on there, but it's definitely a valid choice.

Did Halo really introduce regenerating health in an FPS? (I'm not asking that sarcastically or anything, I honestly don't know)

Yeah, I definitely realize it's a stretch. But they kind of can't lose with the Go. It's more than likely cheaper to make than the PSP3000 (assuming a UMD drive is more expensive than bluetooth support from a manufacturing standpoint, though I have no idea if that's true), and even if it's the same exact manufacturing cost as the 3000, it's just more profit for them. Basically, it's not going to drive more people away from buying PSPs, so at the very least, they sell the same amount, but n...

I sure hope the ones they charge money for won't have ads like that. I don't mind the ads when it's free though.

5952d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

If you have a PS3 you should be able to transfer it once you download it from the PS3 store. It's just an mp4 file. If not, they didn't charge for this first one so it should be easy and legal for you to find on the internet somewhere.
