Oh my god, awesome! They both hold a lot of promise.
Steam, DEFINITELY steam. 360 version is really glitchy, and even if it looks worse on your PC it'll run a LOT better. I sold back my 360 version after getting the PC version (yes, I love this game so much that I bought it twice).
That's a shame. We need more excellent sci-fi rpg's. I was really looking forward to this but I was worried about glitchy performance cuz of the 360. Oh well, I'm still gonna gamefly it, maybe with lowered expectations it'll actually make the game better for me. Not that I think 7.7 is a bad score by ANY means, it's actually a really good score, but for some reason I was expecting "AAA" quality (whatever that means).
No one's opinions matter more than anyone else's. Reviews are nothing but glorified opinions anyway. Frankly, I've read a lot of reviews from small blogs that are WAY more accurate and insightful than anything I've read on 1up, IGN, Gamespot, whatever. And hey, at least with small blogs, they don't pull reviews because their advertisers don't agree with it.
Everyone has to take a step back and look at reviews on more of a macro-level. Yeah, there's TONS of games that got an 8...
So, the only similarities between this "clone" and Shadow of the Colossus are that it's Sony exclusive and it involves very big creatures. They're EXACTLY the same! Did you see that concept art? I TOTALLY remember laser guns and explosions and large-scale warfare in front of massive city-scapes underneath large planets. Team ICO may want to file for copyright violation.
hopefully with windows 7
oh wow.. an article praising microsoft from a news source that's.. owned by microsoft.
No, Butcher's Bay proved that. FAR superior to the movie and an incredible game. It made me actually want to like the movie. It didn't work... but I gave it a second chance at least. I even thought the game was better than Pitch Black.
so if i'm seeing this cover right... the whole gameplay trailer they showed took place ON gaia? i kept noticing things like that, and the massive chains kratos is breaking leads me to believe that she gets trapped or tied down somehow in the battle and kratos has to free her.
If anyone was paying attention when the media first got these demos you'll know that the PS3 version of the demo is several builds behind the 360 version and the review builds look EXACTLY the same.

If I'm not mistaken, that only applies to the virus(es?) in the first 3 games, and RE4/RE5 deal with the Las Plagas parasite. They're not zombies, they're infected humans, they had eggs hatch inside them and they're not exactly human. I dunno if Las Plagas is alien or what (I haven't finished RE4, and I feel like that's a question that'll be answered in 5) but I know the enemies aren't the undead, they're infected people under the control of someone/something.
This was a good move. I had been saying for a while that they should include an "easy mode" or a rookie arrange-game, like the resi2 dualshock version but with the ability to move while aiming instead of an inf-ammo machine gun and rpg. Personally, I'll try it out once to see what it's like, but I'll be playing it with RE4's controls exactly. Moving while aiming in a Resi game would just feel too easy.
Though I can see them designing the next RE game with this being standar...
It's my two favorite things in one, New Orleans and Playstation! Like when the Playstation trailer comes to Voodoofest each year and blows me a way with another upcoming game.
Seriously though, MANY kudos to them. I'm glad the relief effort here is still getting some kind of press, cuz we sure need it.
i was hoping for monkey mode from timesplitters. multiplayer GOLD. for those that don't know, if i remember correctly, it's standard deathmatch/team deathmatch but there's these monkeys that run around and they go after the top ranked players and defend the low ranked players. and it's monkeys, so it's obviously hilarious.
*starts banging on sega's window* ROBBLE RABBLE ROBBLE ROBBLE RABBLE ROBBLE
So Microsoft just paid Capcom for... nothing that will benefit them. Seriously? 1 week? I have both PS3 and 360 but only silver on my 360 (I refuse to pay for the ability to play games online, especially when my 2 free months of gold were atrociously buggy), so I have to wait a week anyway. This doesn't help them in any way. Now I may not even bother downloading the 360 demo. I'm getting the PS3 version regardless as I want to one day play it online and I don't know anyone with Live who ...
This argument is only valid once they optimize CryEngine for the PS3 and put out a PS3 version of Crysis like Crytek said they would. PS3 and PC architecture are just too different. PC vs. 360 is another story, given that the 360 is just a mid-range gaming PC in a sleek white box. I'm astounded when I compare the same games on my 360 that I got for $350 and my gaming PC I got for $400. The Orange Box games are all lightyears beyond the 360 counterparts, and even Mass Effect, that was init...
"thats how i decide whos victor. with physical force :P. even if you slam a 360 onto a ps3. it would only be the 360 substaining damaged. thats how a console witstands the test of time."
genius!
mah yes, this explains why EVERY 360 owner I know has a blu-ray player as well (yes, literally). Obviously it'd be a terrible idea to suddenly make a 360 with a bluray drive and start churning out games on it, but to make a general statement saying that 360 owners don't want blu ray at all is not exactly accurate. HD streaming just simply isn't up to the same quality as physical format (HDDVD or BD). It's getting there, but it's not there yet. Personally, I love blu-rays. I like to have ...
why is this making me WANT linux?
