"Fable, Fable 2, Black and White, Black and White 2..."
zing! anyone? anyone?? *chirp chirp*
Wow, that sucks ass. I'd hug you if I could. Since I can't, I guess a bubble's the closest thing to it.
@Kain81
SWEET JESUS the shot of the helios head rip in that first video is INSANE. I can't believe how much better that looks than the already amazing E3 bit.
Man, that took me straight back to 10th grade "Peace, Justice and Social Change" class. Good ol' Quaker school.
@perjoss
The other side of that would be me, with my 360 hooked up to landline it takes much longer to download updates and demos than my PS3, hooked up to the same router via wireless. I'm on DSL, and I also popped in Killzone 2 the other day and downloaded that patch, which took me maybe 6-7 minutes. Firmware updates for me take maybe 10 at the absolute longest. My PC and PS3 connections are fine, but when I had my 2 free months of Gold I was getting dropped from COD4 about ...
It's different when they're taking away something that's been a fundamental aspect of multiplayer gaming for many years. And then charging more, for no reason, because that extra $10 on the console version is a licensing fee to the console makers, but PC is an open platform. Obviously they have the right to charge whatever they want for their product, but as consumers (not PC gamers, but just consumers in general) we also have the right to flip them off and vocalize how unreasonable they're...
"When I asked him if Natal was Microsoft's attempt to do away with concept of game console generations (thereby prolonging the life of a given platform indefinitely), Ballmer smiled knowingly and said 'We'll see.'"
I have the feeling they're going to release the next Xbox in a few years, and Natal will work for both, and they're going to support both for a while. This comment immediately made me think of that rumor that cropped up last spring about the next Xbox being ...
I sure hope the descending numbers in front of each of those aren't supposed to be rankings...
$60 PC CoD6 = $10 mouse and keyboard support.
I agree. And are pirates really the ones paying the biggest price here?
I have absolutely no problem with the matchmaking, as long as other options are available.
This sucks. This whole situation makes me want to retreat into CSS.
Probably Ender's Game Battleroom. Wasn't Chair signed to do that?
They're doing it in UK, of all places, where they raised the price for ALL platforms? Good luck. We all know Kotick will never make a public appearance for fear of getting lynched.
I did chapter 4 on easy to get the steel fist master or expert trophy (whichever one involves shooting 10 enemies in a row from the hip and then punching them to sleep) and I noticed that when you get in a melee fight and you have to counter, it pops triangle up on screen (at least some of the time), which it doesn't do in the harder difficulties except during the countering tutorial. Maybe PS3informer couldn't handle it on normal?
@suunyd
Lol, that's EXACTLY what I said when VGArabia responded to that article where someone called them out for making a sales prediction for Uncharted 2.
God bless the internet. It's just so entertaining!
lol it's true. But it's NOT 17 seconds. I've been counting all the save times since I watched this review, the longest has been 5 seconds. Maybe this guy's PSP is messed up.
*hugs DICE*
I understand where you're coming from, cuz I don't exactly consider Heavy Rain a "game." More of a, "interactive entertainment experience" or some mouthful like that. The way I describe it to people is, picture any time you've been watching a suspenseful scene in a movie and you start yelling at the screen, "no you idiot! don't go downstairs! what the hell is wrong with you??" etc. Then picture being able to control that character, so they don't do what you th...
Wow, saving does NOT take 17 seconds. At least not on my PSP. 7 at the absolute longest. Though the PDA mini-loads do get annoying.
Also you don't hold the R button to lock on, which may be why he had so much trouble. You tap it and it automatically locks, d-pad manually switches targets, and the L button cycles through targets while locked on. I never played the DS version but I absolutely LOVE the minigames, even if they are just button presses and QTE-ish things.
"when the Machine is priced at $50 dollars less than a PS3."
My theory is that it's priced that way specifically help draw attention to the PS3's new price point.
