I agree. If they sequestered the cutscenes to only the main story quests, I wouldn't even bother with the side/fetch quests. It's that Bioware touch that actually makes me give a shit about what I'm doing in a game like this. I'm like you, though, I hate MMOs. I've tried to get into a couple free-to-play ones, but every time I see that text bubble pop up to assign me a quest, I can't help feeling like I just don't care. I'm curious to see what kind of impa...
That's true, but I don't mess with the emulators enough to want hardware controls, though that's purely my personal gaming tendencies. If you want to turn your vita into the ultimate retro gaming portable, I can see the advantages. Usually the novelty of having those games on my phone is enough, and any alternatives offered through more legitimate channels isn't quite viable (I own Sonic for the genesis, I'm not going to throw down $5 on a service like Steam to play a ga...
that was quick. but this isn't exactly advantageous like it was on the PSP-- most smart phones these days can easily run emulators for old school games, and if you're on android you don't even have to mess with the phone's software first. i'll get a vita to do things my droid x can't.
pleased to meet you, psishock.
Nice to see Witcher 2 getting some well-deserved recognition. I'm almost done my 2nd playthrough, and the branching narrative is incredible. I may have spent more time in Skyrim, but if I had to pick which was the better game, I'd have to go with Witcher 2 since, for me, narrative is the most important aspect of any story-based game.
See, I loved the KZ3 campaign. KZ2's campaign was a bit of a let down for me, and I thought 3's was a blast. Sure, the characters are shallow and the pacing isn't perfect, this isn't Half Life, but I had a blast. I can't speak for multiplayer cuz I don't play, but I messed with the bot multiplayer (the inclusion of which I GREATLY appreciate) and loved it.
If we're talking about hype vs product quality, I feel like Duke Nukem and Dragon Age 2 wo...
can we NOT make this one of those things where every single remotely negative article shoots straight to the top of the news page?
I've never played a DMC game, aside from a couple demos, so I know I don't really have a frame of reference here. But from an outsider's perspective, this game has some gorgeous art design, if this is video is anything to go by.
you have to admire that kind of consistency
NO LIVE!!! THANK YOU!!! That is SUCH a relief.
oh hell yes. this is the one 360 exclusive i really wanted on PC. hopefully it's not an undercooked console port
Jesus, EA, get your shit together.
Pleased to meet you, Void.
I'm kind of surprised, considering CD Projekt's stance on DRM. However, when a developer takes a strong stance against all DRM and releases a game without any whatsoever, it kind of makes pirating that game an even more dick move than it normally is.
Someone needs to bring in the people who cracked portal 2's viral promotion
I liked him after MGS4 too. Also, I vaguely recall Kojima saying at some point that Raiden is his favorite character, and that he was hurt that so many people hated him in 2. But he clearly took the feedback to heart for 4.
It's not like I'm going to NOT get this. I'm too much of a Metal Gear fan to pass it up, even if it ends up being terrible by all standards. I'm just concerned, is all. Mainly about the plot. I'm okay with it not being a stealth g...
I honestly think that they'll start getting death threats if it's not half life.
I really hope not
As an action game, I thought it looked superb. But being a severe MGS fanboy since the first Solid game came out for Playstation when I was 10, I felt a little heartache watching the trailer. My hope, at this point, is that it takes a decidedly NON-canonical approach to the narrative. I don't even know what was going on in that trailer. I had always assumed this was going to be the story of Raiden's transformation, his tracking down of Sunny, and the job he pulled for Eva (to put ...
yeah, now they know you intend to purchase the one game you've admitted to downloading. you're screwed. never mind all the child porn and massive hosts of copyrighted content out there, the fbi is coming for YOU AND ONLY YOU.
..in all seriousness, no one should hate you for that. especially because you're buying it as soon as it's available to you. it's nintendo's fault for keeping it from you to begin with, especially when there's (clearly) mi...
