distraction, right. people used to say that about people who wanted to make movies. and now, gaming is the largest entertainment industry in the world, the only industry that's managed to expand during a recession, and is contributing jobs to a starving job market. state governments are giving more and more incentives to game developers, and you see companies like EA building new facilities in cities like Baton Rouge, creating more new jobs for folks who need them. but yeah, gaming is...
"skylanders" is awfully close to "skyrim", i think bethesda should sue.
thanks/bubbles for the warning. the concept is truly incredible, but since it's that buggy, i think i'm going to pass.
i'm confused. this can run on iOS, but not ps3 or 360? and if the iOS version is gimped compared to the PC version, why not AT LEAST release a touched up version of that on console?
i have the impression it's more of a square enix thing than an eidos thing. just look for the debug menu mod, all you have to do is replace one file in the game folder inside steamapps/common. though i'm not sure if it'll give you access to the tracer tong mission.. but there IS a type of level select, so maybe.
or, ya know, use the debug menu mod to unlock the weapons for free.
i really want dark souls, but i haven't played enough of demon's souls to warrant a purchase of its followup. good thing they extended the servers into next year
the M1911 reminds me of metal gear solid 3 every time
they also said that they're patching the CGI into the PC version when the 360 version launches
man, it sucks that they ported this so lazily. i was hoping for some visual upgrades that would best the mod work done on the also-a-lazy-port of a PC version, but it doesn't seem that way. the modders showed this game more love than capcom did, with new textures and sex-ified cutscenes.
cathode ray tube mutha FUCKAAAAAAAZ
lord, that thing weighs damn near 100 pounds
oh god dammit
I bought it, and I LOVE it. I don't really play competitive multiplayer, so I can't speak for that (although I miss R2's unique co-op and I'm very surprised they didn't try to expand on that), but the campaign feels like a fantastic realization of the IP as a whole and a satisfying combination of what worked in R1 and what worked in R2.
In terms of marketing, I see both of the commercials for the game every time I watch TV, multiple times. I think the is...
<-- dammit, you pissed off my avatar. look how upset he is.
likewise^
although the sonic adventure games were good, dammit, i don't care what anyone thinks.
man, this fall's gonna hurt
the original fallouts had killable kids, though some countries made them remove the feature. i remember the first time i killed a kid that pickpocketed me.. it kinda stunned me after i did it. partially because the death animations in the original fallout games were so amazingly gruesome, but also because i didn't expect the game to let me do it. it had a bigger impact on me the second time i played, when i organized the junkies in that town to start up an orphanage to give the homeles...
the only issue i had with the graphics were some of the animations, but it was still a great looking game overall. some of the models were a little iffy but using tessellation in the dx11 version definitely helps with that. it's interesting that there's no true HDR, though. the focus on mood and atmosphere definitely distracts from it.
still, i'm all for a graphics boosting-mod, because.. well.. why not? it'd be cool to see this game all decked out.
Deus Ex has completely dominated my existence since it came out (with the exception of one INSANE electric zoo festival last weekend). I've been meaning to grab Resistance the past few days to break myself out of my cyberpunk stupor, but all I want to do after work is run home and adam some more jensen.
Unfortunately, interplay is pretty much completely broke, so I highly doubt we're gonna see it unless they sell the IP. I really hope things turn around for them, I'd love to play their fallout mmo. I guess all we can do right now is buy their games off GOG and hope for the best.
