Lol, I bet. I just hope zenimax is giving them enough time for polish, they're famous for scrapping the QA process, and a game like this deserves better.

I thought obsidian handled choice and consequence much better than Bethesda, which is perhaps the main staple of a proper fallout game. Also, Bethesda completely butchered the lore. I'd like to see obsidian make a fallout game with a REAL development cycle, where zenimax doesn't axe their QA testing like they did with new vegas. Still though, I thought new vegas completely trumped 3 in terms of narrative and writing, which I would argue are the most important elements of fallout 1 and...

I'm not writing it off yet, because they said that when you're not playing co-op, the other character doesn't appear with you as an AI partner (which alters cutscenes as well). Definitely a smart move on their part.

Thanks for the link. I had the same reaction. During the demo I thought to myself, "THIS is why I watch these pressers". It was totally out of the blue, I didn't expect it AT ALL, and it completely blew me away. And it ACTUALLY looks innovative. I totally underestimated ubisoft this year, and I'm glad they proved me wrong.

What's the advantage of this? To me, it comes across as though they're worried people will jump to another platform, and that they're trying to keep them on 360. They must know that it doesn't sell systems, they're not idiots.

Not too far off, though, because he was there for the war of 1812. Even though the battle of New Orleans took place after the treaty was signed, communication took so long back then that they had no idea the war was over. Jackson took the tip from the infamous pirate Jean Lafitte, who had been bringing slaves into the country (at a time when it was illegal to IMPORT slaves-- the slave trade was still legal within the US). Lafitte noticed a massive buildup of british ships in Jamaica, so he...

I couldn't even get it running. I had to change the game data folder and mess with regedit, then I got it to start, but it'd freeze at the legal screen cuz steam would freak out that the data was in the "wrong" folder. I tried every possible solution I came across, and it still won't work. So I downloaded a cracked version, and it works flawlessly. I guess that's what I get for paying $10 extra for a game that came out 17 days late for no apparent reason. You have to...

I loved them when I was little, and it's funny when I go back and watch them now, because there are so many jokes that went straight over my head as a kid.

though he DID give killzone 3 a 10.

that said, i rarely agree with sterling's reviews, but i have a lot of respect for his opinion pieces. i'm still going to get this game, because i have the feeling that, like most of the games sterling reviews, i will respectfully disagree with his reception of the game.

I think the contract allows Activision to annualize the franchise between bungie's releases and outsource development of those titles to other studios. It seems like Bungie's saying "give it to whoever you want, just not Valve, Epic or Gearbox". Gearbox might accept an offer like that, since they've worked on a lot of existing IPs in the past, but I feel like Epic wouldn't agree to it, and Valve.. not sure why they even mentioned Valve. I feel like Valve would just...

he was the penguin in arkham city. he's extremely varied and talented, it's just that so many developers tell him to just use his regular voice.

Ill tell you what, senior year of college gaming had a SIGNIFICANT negative impact on my schoolwork and my relationship. But I refuse to believe gaming was (or is, in others) the CAUSE of this behavior. It was 100% my fault that I didn't properly budget and prioritize my time, and to point at a study like this and say "see? Gaming made me do it!" is a tremendous cop out. I own my mistakes, and excusing my behavior with something like this is just irresponsible.
