I can't believe that guy. He obviously has no clue what he's talking about. Sony didn't get "stung" for using rumble. Sony stung themselves for refusing to license the technology. Microsoft knew Immersions patent for rumble predated the patent that the console makers were basing their rumble controllers on, so they did the smart thing and paid the license fee. Sony was the only one stupid enough to take this thing to court with a weak case and naturally, they lost. Sony can add rumb...

until the first firmware update and then all unsupported software will be rendered useless, just like on the PSP.

PS3 ISN'T a gaming machine. It's a tool for Sony to get Blu-Ray onto the marketplace because conventional Blu-Ray players aren't selling. They couldn't possibly care any less about gaming. All the Sony fanboys are doing their master's bidding by buying PS3's. Sony is already alienating developers with the high cost of developing for the system, so expect games to count for a smaller share of PS3's profits and movies to make up a larger share as game developers move their titles to 360 and Wi...

has always taken a back seat to Gran Turismo on the Playstation, and I don't see that changing unless Namco gets markedly better really quick. That said, I don't see a racing title on 360 that really strikes me as being so good that it makes RR6 look like crap in the same way the GT makes it look like crap on the other side. Project Gotham is flashy enough but doesn't have the same depth as RR. Need For Speed is more raw edged and street than a professional racing sim. Is there a version of S...

You don't even have to own an HDTV to play any of these three systems. I am playing XBox 360 right now on an ancient TV from the 1980's. When this TV breaks or HD becomes mandatory in my area, then I'll upgrade, but until then I'll stick with my craptastic TV for games.

Nintendo is never going to be taken seriously by teens and 20-30 something gamers if they keep making cutesy games that are embarrassing to be caught playing.

Is anybody really going to pay for 8 and 16 bit games when you can download M.E.S.S. on your PC and a bunch of roms and play them for free??

Over 150 of them out NOW and next years line up is to die for. PS3 has NOTHING out now or in the pipeline that's gonna make me want to pony up $600 and run out and buy one.

can the rest of their games be far behind?? How is PS3 going to compete without EA?? EA also wields a lot of power in the industry. Where they lead, others follow. If EA drops PS3 support, other software producers may do the same figuring that if it isn't profitable for a giant like EA, how can it be profitable for a smaller company with fewer resources and less programming talent??

That a game dude would find getting a PS3 on launch day more important than continued sex with his girlfriend. I would hate to be him when she finds out he blew a big chunk of the money for her engagement ring on that overpriced piece of crap.

there is someone out there who has already beaten it or is working on a way to beat it. Touting security features in Blu-Ray is just giving movie and music makers a false sense of security. A few months after the format starts to become popular, you'll be seeing pirated Blu-Ray movie and music discs in every flea market stall and digital files on every file sharing service, just like it always has been.

the Wii to the original XBox. That is like comparing an Intel chip to an AMD chip. The Athlon 64 3400+ in my laptop has a clock rate of 2.2 ghz, but easily runs many times faster than the P4 2400 in my desktop. The original XBox hardware is still superior to the Wii in screen resolution and pushing polygons. You can't judge a system strictly on it's clock speed alone.

set out to better their previous effort without regard for what the other guy is doing. They made the mistake with N64, which was better than SNES, but they continued to use the creatively limiting and expensive cartridge format when everyone else had gone to CD-Rom which holds more information and is cheap to produce. They made the mistake again again with Gamecube, by making the N64 the system to beat without paying attention to the new directions that Sony and Microsoft were taking game co...
