whether the design is questionable or not, it is working and for a whole lot less money than PS3. Microsoft set out to make sure they could stay competitive in racing to the lower price points, so they saved money in every way that they could without crippling the system. Sony just kept throwing money at the PS3 until it became a bloated monstrosity that only rich kids can afford to buy. So while Sony is scrambling for ways to cost reduce the PS3, Microsoft will be working on the generation a...
the graphics look better and framerates on 360 are higher in spite of the awesome power of the multi-core Cell, greater storage capacity of the Blu-Ray and mega-bandwith on the XDR Ram. Even with "advantages" like that, PS3 still doesn't manage to blow 360 out of the water.
I clicked "sort of looks better on PS3" 3 times on that one, but I really didn't see anything that blew me away to the point where I could say it looks hella better on PS3 than 360.
Wii is not going to be able to keep up. They will be hampering cross platform development. In the last generation, they could pretty much use the same models and textures with just little tweaks here and there to make them look the best they can on each platform, but Wii is now so far behind the 360 and PS3 in terms of graphics muscle that they can't diplay the same models and textures and keep the frame rates up at the same time like the 360 and PS3. Going low tech is going to lose them a l...
I thought the 360 version looked dark and murky compared to the PS3. In a game where you are sometimes called on to shoot targets from a distance, I prefer the scenery to be bright and clear so I can pick off that sniper up in the tree from the glint off his scope before he parts my hair with a bullet.
I have the VGA cable for my 360 and using an ancient 1280x1024 capable monitor and it does do 720p in native mode on that and looks great. You don't need an expensive HDTV to get 720p output. If you have an old PC monitor laying around, all you need is a $40 cable, less if you go with a generic one on ebay.
apart from banning people who get caught, there isn't anything they can do about it other than not allow people to use webcams, which would probably not be a big loss. Why do you need a cam to play Uno in the first place?
but the personal attacks aren't necessary. If it really annoys you so much, then just don't click on any of the links that he posts.
20GB is not enough when you consider how big the downloadables on Live can get. 20GB is going to fill up fast.
and here is my breakdown:
Call Of Duty and Ridge Racer + PS3
Tiger Woods,Madden and Full Auto + 360
Fight Night, NBA 2K7, Need for Speed so close it doesn't matter which system you play them on
Tony Hawk, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, absolutely the same, no differences at all.
Blazing Angels, couldn't really judge it accurately since two different planes and two different environments were used.
I'm being as fair as I can here. PS...
If Microsoft got Goldeneye as part of Rare's assets when they bought it, then it is doubtful they will let it be distributed on a competing platform. That is bad news for N64 fans who bought Wii for backwards compatibility because Rare was one of the few publishers who stuck with the 64 after everyone else left. Wouldn't it be a kick in the pants if MS made Rare's N64 titles available on Live??
can the 360 be patched to upgrade the DX version?? If it can, then it becomes a whole new game. Don't be surprised if one day you log in to Live and get the new DX sent to your console automatically or if it appears on the latest game discs at some point.
Wii needs Mario now. I think the long wait for Mario Sunshine on GC put a lot of people off buying it right away. Both PS3 and 360 have some nice looking games coming out before then and Wii is going to need something to keep their momentum going once PS3 gets into full production.
Horse armor.
I don't trust a Microsoft news outlet saying that 360 has won already. How can MSN possibly be unbiased?? I am not a fanboy, in spite of the fact that most of what I post about 360 is positive. It is just for me, personally, the 360 makes a lot more sense than PS3 or Wii. I also got a really great deal on it. None of you can stand there and tell me that $299 for a premium 360 isn't a killer deal. I actually spend most of my game time in WoW. Does that make me a PC fanboy?? I think I have pla...
Just because Sony chose not to make certain functions of the PS3 accessible in the version of Linux they are distributing, isn't going to stop the community from adding that support later. Trust me, there is already someone out there somewhere in the world writing the necessary modules to add full PS3 functionality to Linux.
I think it is fair to say a game is exclusive, even if it comes out on PC. No other console has it, do they?? So that makes it a selling point for the console that does have it. Part of the purpose of 360 is to encourage cross development on both platforms, so a lot of 360 games will also show up on PC. Another killer game similar to CoD2 that came out at the same time for 360 and PC was GR:AW. Everyone who is against 360 is looking at Gears and saying it is the only killer app on 360, when t...
if they put the stick in the center instead of off in a corner. It would have felt more like an old fashioned joystick.
100,000 gamer points or .....a life?? Stay home and play games all day. Go ahead. When you're 75 and eating dog food with a 40 watt bulb as your only heat source you can still sit there and relive the glory of your game achievements and look around your hovel at how far they have gotten you.
that importers are beating them to market in Europe with Japanese and American PS3's. By the time they get there in February, there may not be a market left.
