You have to pay money even if you don't win the auction?? What a gyp.
You're taking entirely too freakin long with this thing. This should have been a X-mas '06 title at the latest.
They need to learn a lesson from PC game developers here. When a game is developed on the PC, it is assumed that not all of your customers are going to have the fastest CPU, 4gigs of RAM and the best video card money can buy. If PC game developers only catered to those with bleeding edge hardware, they'd be out of business pretty quick. They have to take a certain amount of legacy hardware into consideration. How far back in time they go depends on if their vision of what they want the gamer ...
that when you link to a non English news story that you make mention of the fact somewhere in your story description???
then why does 360 have scaling built in? MS foresaw problems with older HDTV units not displaying 720p/1080p properly on those sets and they did something about it. Sony did nothing and now it is coming back to bite them.
They had to have known that there were a lot of older HDTV sets out there that don't support 720p or 1080p. I seriously doubt someone that spent thousands of dollars for a 1080i tv 4 years ago is going to be in the market for a new one anytime soon and they certainly aren't going to spend thousands of dollars again to get a 1080p set just to play video games on. Sony just keeps making screw up after screw up. That is why PS3 will lose this round of the console wars.
to screw up a launch. Even though PS3's launch titles may not be the worst ever, Sony did so much more to screw up this launch. It will go down as the worst launch in history, and not because of bad games.
I was actually looking forward to getting a PS3, but now with all the many different ways Sony has come up with to competely blow the launch, I just can't see getting one. At one point I even vowed that a 360 would never set foot in my house, yet here I am a year after launch with a 360 and vowing never to get a PS3. I loved my PS2 (before it died from playing too many movies) and I also loved all the PS1 games that I had, but the high price on the PS3 just hurts too much. Also, I keep seeing...
and that's the fact of the matter. It is very easy for game developers to make a title on both Xbox and PC and have them interact with each other over the same network. I think this gen the strategy started by MS in the last generation is going to start paying off. The fact that cross platform development between XBox and PC is so easy, it would be crazy for game developers to leave either of them out.
slick, greasy feeling plastic used on the PSP case and I am constantly cleaning fingerprints and dust off mine, even though it stays in it's case most of the time. I don't think it's a good idea to make a game console case that needs cleaning every five minutes.
Any PS3 game selling that many copies in it's first 2 weeks, not even the next Gran Turismo.
Microsoft can easily kill Blu-Ray on the Windows platform by simply putting something in Vista that rejects the use of Blu-Ray players. Dell will jump to the HD-DVD side quickly if Blu-Ray players won't work under Vista.
any warning is going to be sufficient in this case. People are using the controllers the way they are intended and damage is being done. Someone is responsible for that damage, and since the gamers are following the supplied instructions, then Nintendo is the one who is at fault. The Wiimote was a bad idea from the start, and this is the reason why. There is going to be a massive class action against Nintendo in the future. I can see it already.
of the Wiimote is to play games the same way you would play them IRL. When you swing for a baseball, you swing with full force. If you swing for a tennis ball, same thing. Just getting your remotely controlled bat or racket into position to intercept the ball won't work. You have to have force behind your swing if you want the ball to travel far. This is something Nintendo should have foresaw, and I think if the strap really did break and sent the Wiimote flying into the dudes tv screen, then...
They don't pack games in here yet. You must have got a bundle deal assembled by your retailer. GoW is still new and hot and they wouldn't be giving it away for free.
Is a bunch of screenshots. I don't see any article telling who did or how it is done. While it may be true, screenshots can easily be faked. The lack of any actual content accompanying the screen shots, takes away a lot of credibility.
Blu-Ray production. Sony isn't going to have enough consoles on store shelves by Christmas to make it worthwhile for developers to go exclusively with them. Developers have families to feed, too. They'd be committing financial suicide by waiting for Sony to get their production up. Sony also made the mistake of ignoring Europe on launch day. They won't be doing a release there until spring. The game makers European affiliates need something to get them through, as well, and Microsoft already ...
They aren't trying to make their losses back from game sales, they are hoping to make it back on B-R movie sales. If you guys want to wear out your consoles playing movies, then knock yourselves, out. Me? I'm not going through that again, especially for the prices Sony is charging. My PS2 burned itself out from doing double duty as a movie player and I will now have to go out and buy another one to keep playing my PS1 and 2 games. When I am ready for Hi-def movies, I'm getting the HD-DVD play...
give Japanese gamers a good reason to jump to 360. I haven't seen anyone mention this yet, but the character art is done by Akira Toriyama, the same artist who created Dragonball and did the art for Chrono-Trigger. I do find it interesting, though, that game sales remained flat, even in the wake of the PS3 launch. Either Sony sold even less PS3's than we are led to believe, or the first round of games are real stinkers. I would have thought the fanboys over there would have bought up every ga...
The worst thing about Halo 3

Thank you.
