and released PS3 with the cheaper DVD-9 format and then made a Blu Ray attachment later. Microsoft is going to sell a ton of HD-DVD add ons for the 360, and with the huge head start 360 has, that may just tip the balance enough in favor of HD-DVD that Blu Ray dies out. PS3 may be the cheapest Blu Ray player, but the 360 HD-DVD player is only $200, which is cheaper still and 360 has a big enough installed base to see that the format sells. Microsoft can also play dirty if they want to with Win...
Nintendo will be the driving force again. Nintendo is sitting back and selling low tech consoles at a profit as fast as they can make them and making a fortune. They are also selling games and accessories at a profit. They will be banking all that money for the next generation wars. The Nintendo to come after the Wii is going to be the Godzilla of all game systems. Just watch. Microsoft has to force Nintendo into an unprofitable situation with the Wii, or they will regret it later.
My laptop isn't upgradeable enough to handle it, but I think I can manage to squeeze a bit more life out of the old desktop to make it work.
would have it. I don't know the name of the big game chain there off the top of my head, but I remember one in Bluewater that was similar to our Gamestop here in America. Some High Street game shops may have it, as well. Sutton has a very nice game shop just a short way up the road from the ASDA there. Would Virgin have it, maybe??
Edit: Dixons does stock it.
Here it is
Get a laptop with WiFi and you can still read it while you crap.
Those are the first three games that I got for mine (other than the Burger King games).
Sony is intent on bringing a PS4 to market even if it means financial ruin for the company and the shareholders just so they won't look like they've been beaten. This whole samurai code thing that seems prevalent at Sony has to go. There comes a time in business when you cut your losses and move on. Fighting to the bitter end accomplishes nothing but dumping money down a hole. If PS3 finishes dead last this time around, I really don't think Sony will be in a position to waste even more shareh...
I really don't think PS3 is even going to be able to keep pace with Wii, and that is really sad considering the low tech road that Nintendo took and Sony depending so heavily on all the high tech gizmos in the PS3 to make them #1. Wii is also out in Europe in one more week while Sony is looking at Feb-March 07 at the earliest for their launch there. This generation belongs to Microsoft and Nintendo. Sony is the odd man out.
and it looks typical of most UK console fan mags, which means it looks very good. The online aspect does allow for things like FMV to be included in an article instead of just screenshots. Short segments of demo gameplay might also be possible. The fact that it is free means, they will have no problem getting people to read it and the internet means worldwide distribution for only the cost of webhosting. All other expenses are covered by ad revenues (you knew someone had to be paying for it, ...
is show how weak the Wii hardware is in comparison to the rest. Is the Wii version really worth $59.99 when the PS2 and XBox 1 versions are only $39.99?? Anyone who has more than one system in their home will NOT spend the money on the Wii version. They will buy it for the system that either looks better for the same money or the system that looks similar but for less money. If Nintendo is going to give us a system with last gen capabilities, then they should also give us games with last gen ...
The PSP already is tightly packaged. To make it smaller means the screen size would have to be reduced or the controls would have to be sacrificed even further. PSP gamers have already said they want another control stick added, not more controls taken away. I have no problems with the size of the PSP, my biggest complaint is always having to wipe the fingerprints and dust off the shiny plastic case. Why they went with a high gloss finish that attracts dirt instead of a flat one, is beyond al...
and he spends more time writing reports for his bosses than he does actually playing the games and when he does play the games, he is expected to find every possible thing a player can find in the game from power ups to secret areas to Easter eggs. He is also expected to do things the normal gamer might not do in order to find potential bugs that may only show up in certain situations. He is also expected to play the game through from beginning to end, so he can't play it and then say "W...
it looks even better than the Killzone trailer, but, in the clip the developer said they filmed the canyon scenes in 1080p so it is made to be a purely 1080p experience,so until 1080p televisions really start to catch on, not many people will be able to enjoy it the way it is meant to be enjoyed. It will probably scale down to lower resolutions, but it will lose a lot of quality.
and still not be completely happy with it. Have you ever thought of that?? Not everyone develops a fanatical devotion to the game consoles they own. If he owns all three, but likes 360 best, that is his right. I owned a PS2, a XBox and a DC last time around. I bought them for the games, not to be a fanboy of any of them. I'll probably get a Wii this time around around, too, but not because I am especially fond on Nintendo. I got the 360 because it has more games now and more great titles comi...
LLL is attacking someone who is actually expressing a NEGATIVE opinion of the XBox 360, in spite of the fact the he himself is a Sony fanboy. I think he is just argumentative by nature. He can't find anyone expressing any 360 fanboyism in this thread, so he is attacking his own people instead.
In case you didn't notice, the post you replied to is very much on topic, and is actually on your side. What do you do?? Scan through the posts looking for 360 references and automatically shout foul when you find one?? You Sony fanboys are so rabid you'll even attack one of your own.
but they know a company in trouble when they see it. With all the other problems that Sony has been facing in the last few years and all the money they are losing to have all that compounded by a lousy PS3 launch doesn't make the picture look too rosy for investors. So of course they are going to downgrade the company in their ratings. It is very risky to put your money into Sony's hands right now.
has always been a Nintendo area. The other consoles have steered clear of that to appeal to more mature gamers. I really don't see parents thinking 360 or PS3 as a system for small children, so if some kid oriented game did come out for either, it would probably lose money for whoever introduced it. Most parents I know say they would own a 360 or a PS3 for themselves and a Wii for the kids, so kiddie games for 360 and PS3 aren't really needed.
