Why are people acting surprised about this?
Ever since Hololens was announced, it was described as a standalone computing device, like a PC, smartphone, or tablet... And like those aforementioned devices, it will have many ways to utilize it, of which gaming is just one.
Version one doesn't even have a FOV to make it suitable for gaming, and to date, they've only shown a single game running on it. There will be games on the Hololens platform, but it d...
I figured as much, MP needs to be all about clean sightlines and minimizing visual noise...
Just pick One, it will look like a last gen port regardless of the system you play on...
I'm just hoping that H5 has a nice, lengthy campaign... There was so much important story crammed into H4's campaign that a lot of important information was glossed over... I've encountered so many people who had fun playing H4, but have no idea why any of it took place...
H5 has some explaining to do...
Most of them are on YouTube... I just used an app to convert them to an audio file...
One of the kilo-five books isn't on YouTube for some reason... You get a free book if you sign up at audible.com so I got it that way...
I don't have time to read the books either... But I downloaded all of the audiobooks a few months ago, and listened to them peice by peice during the morning commute to work...
It took me a few weeks, but it was worth it... They are pretty good in their own right, but they really do flesh out the universe. halo 1-3 are still great without any knowledge of extended media... But halo4 really requires additional knowledge in order to grasp.
I too hope 343i finds a wa...
It sounded to me like they were just happy to have been able release a competent game that sold well... I think they recognize that it didn't really work as a halo game. They even mention in this video that now's the time to prove they can do it.
Get in my veins...
You can't have a review without a healthy dose of subjectivity... At the end of the day, it's an opinion on whether or not a game delivers...
An objective review isn't a review at all... It's a list of features... Without the author giving his opinion on whether or not those features were implemented well and amounted to a good game, there's no point in reading...
It doesn't take away anything... You could have the inventory screen onscreen, and still have everything happen in real time...
A long as the game doesn't pause, the effect is the same... You bring up your inventory, search through it, then close it... bam, there's a zombie in your face that you didn't expect...
It would only bother someone who has played the wiiU version... Maybe...
The way I see it, If your frantically trying to rummage through a rucksack while surrounded by zombies, the tension comes from the fact that you can't see your surroundings, not from the fact that you are swiping on tablet.
The GamePad was a gimmick... A clever gimmick, but a gimmick... If it alone determines whether or not a game is worthwhile, then the game wasn't very good......
I think this is BS...
Sure the GamePad made you take your eyes off the screen to check your inventory...
There's no reason why they couldn't have the inventory screen block your view in the XB1/PS4 versions... It will have the same effect... And has already been done in other horror games...
To be fair, the only reason the other companies have had releases outside of the holiday window was because of delays in development. It wasn't due to some grand plan to spread things out.
Publishers can be idiotic sometimes... The reason games don't sell outside of the holiday window is because they choose not to release games outside of the holiday window...
In the event a game does come out in the spring or summer, it's because it was delayed or simply not good enough to compete with the holiday titles...
Then you get games like GTA or Witcher or Batman that PROVE games can be successful at anytime of they are good and publishers ig...
I think MS did learn it. That's why they have big titles releasing this holiday, as well as titles releasing throughout 2016, which we'll learn more about at Gamescom.
I think it's a better strategy than having nothing AAA for the Holiday, then sprinkling things throughout the off months...
They just need to make a sequel... Using the Kinect Sports Rivals engine... Such a beautiful engine gone to waste so far...
If your the type of gamer who would buy a 3rd party professional controller, this is a no brainier... It will save you time and $ vs having to own different pads for different types of games.
The fact that you can customize it to your liking AND switch between sensitivity profiles on the fly would make it a great addition for someone who takes gaming extremely seriously...
It's not for everyone. It has a target audience... And for that audience, it's ...
I haven't seen a single hands on impression that didn't suggest that it feels better (in part thanks to being customizable), and is made of significantly more durable materials than the standard fair...
I'd take Their holiday lineup over a just bunch of Multiplatform titles and PC ports..
I'd love for it to hit Xbox... I thought the premise was stupid at first, so o glossed over it... I was surprised to see how well it's been received... Silly me....
