For this game I would say no, as the PS3 should handle this type of game quite well, and the install base of the PS3 will be larger than that of the PS4 for the foreseeable future. But I've read a few reviews for Bioshock Infinite that suggest Bioshock would have benefited from being developed with next gen in mind with the screen tearing, framerate slowdown, and graphical quality of this generation of consoles really suffering compared to what the performance is like for the PC version....
This is Commander Sheperd and I approve of this article.
I love this trilogy.
The Last of My Sanity.
I'm wondering just how open the world will be? How many interiors of buildings will you actually be able to enter? Will that explorable interior space be different between current gen and next gen systems? Or will they try to deliver a comparable experience between ps3/ps4/360/nextbox? I find it hard to believe that will be possible without harming the quality of the end product. With PC being the lead, I don't see how current gen systems will even get a game that is similar to w...
That's a damn good question. The thing that should concern those who love Microsoft's machine is they seem to be willing to concede the war for the hardcore while trying to garner the casual market and those who want an entertainment center that does a bit of everything for a console. I'm more interested in games. I own a 360 and PS3 this gen, but with what I've seen so far, the 360's infamous red ring fiasco, the incessant and intrusive advertisements on a service I pa...
Of course specifications matter, but they are not the sole factor for a machines success. You have to have good developers, offer quality applications and games, and innovative gameplay and product to move units. Specs are a big part of that, simply because they are the first thing most consumers notice when observing new tech (via that graphical fidelity), and that holds true for many electronic gadgets. People went nuts when the actual PS4 console wasn't shown at the reveal even thou...
I'm really hoping this game lives up to the expectations. Whenever I hear the developer talking about how they will provide a great experience on both current and next gen consoles I have to wonder what the tangible differences between the two will be. I can only hope they seek to utilize the new platforms to their potential, or at least as much as they can at this point. With this game being developed with the PC as the lead, I don't see why they would not do that, but how would t...
This list had to be compiled by a bunch of dudes. I find it hard to believe women would select this bunch.
If you love games and you don't own a ps3 and 360 you've missed out on some great content from both sides. I have to say though, in the battle of first party exclusives, Sony had that battle locked up long ago this gen, and with the last of us and beyond:two souls they are just pouring on the pain for those who don't own a ps3. In fact, Sony has done such a good job late this console generation, I am heavily leaning toward purchasing the ps4 first (and maybe only console purchas...
I applaud Quantic Dream and Cage for spending that Heavy Rain windfall and trying to deliver something new to gamers. It would be easy for them to sit on the money and get fat, never risking anything. It would have been money in the bank to roll out Heavy Rain 2. Instead, they are again trying to set a new standard. Bravo. (Heavy Rain 2 may be in development for the PS4, by the way. It wouldn't surprise me.)
Hahahah..that's funny.
It's looking very promising, and interesting. Sign me up.
I've got news for you...this world is "way too violent". Art imitates life. Always has, always will.
This articles title is the problem. Why does it have to be either/or? Hopefully, this won't be an issue next gen.
I have a strong suspicion that this game (which is looking awesome) won't make it to consoles until early 2014. I hope I'm wrong.
For me personally, it will always be Lair of the Shadow Broker. The citadel is very good, and I loved it, but Liara is my girl and Lair of the Shadow Broker was about as good as it gets for downloadable content.
I recognize a zombie when I hear one. Let's get him!!
This author needs to get a life.
What I want from Mass Effect 4 is characters that make me care every bit as much about them as the ones from the ME trilogy.
