Did I miss something? I thought they said the campaign was going to only last five or six hours? That doesn't sound like they are putting much emphasis on it at all. Also, I think it strange the guy in this article mentions "noobs and lames". Not everybody has 1500 hours to sink into a multiplayer component trying to level up just to be competitive. People have lives and jobs. I think the "noobs and lames" are the ones who sit staring at a television screen ten h...
This one definitely has my attention. The next gen is looking very promising. Can't wait to see what we learn at E3.
I am officially concerned about the direction this yet to be launched franchise is taking.
Hard to demo a game like this properly. The story is the game. Hopefully it's a strong one.
Man. I have to believe this game will be phenomenal. It has to be. Can't wait to see what surprises Naughty Dog has in store for us all.
I'm confused. And concerned. And confused again.
Josephayal, you better hope the nextbox comes with great games and forget 4k, because Sony is bringing the games.
I also think it's very premature to make this statement when games like the Last of Us, Beyond:Two Souls, and GTA V, among others, are on the horizon.
I have to disagree with this. When you talk about game of a generation, genre preferences will always influence that discussion. For me personally, a game series like Mass Effect or Uncharted is more in line with my preference. That's not to suggest I don't enjoy Bioshock or Bioshock Infinite, but the setting is not my ideal. Everybody will have their own opinion, obviously.
While I agree the Metal Gear trailer was fantastic, I would have to strongly disagree with this writers take on Ubisoft's Watch Dogs presentations. In fact, I could argue that what Ubisoft has done with Watch Dogs is highly appropriate for a new IP, while Metal Gear already has a huge fan base and so their trailer, which might be confusing for people new to Metal Gear, is very intriguing for long time fans of the series. Watch Dogs cannot deliver the same type of trailer when their game...
I will always be more excited to play a great single player game than one that focuses primarily on multiplayer. Give me a Mass Effect, Bioshock, Uncharted, God of War, Metal Gear, etc. etc. over Cod type games any day of the week. I will dabble in the multiplayer component occasionally, but if a game doesn't have a significant and worthwhile single player component, count me out.
E3 very well might kill me this year.
It's a good year to be a fan of gaming. So many great titles and new hardware to look forward to? Correction, it's a fantastic year to be a fan of gaming.
This game better make it to the PS4 day one or my enthusiasm will be curbed considerably. If the PS4 or nextbox isn't getting this, the graphical letdown for the fans when they see the 360 and PS3 versions will be palpable. Hope they don't make that mistake.
Again, people ask the wrong question. The important question to ask is which will be the better game to play.
I will always prefer a great single player experience over a great multiplayer experience. A fantastic story that draws the player in cannot be matched by some fragfest online with no character development. Not to mention the annoyance of having to deal with cowardly fake tommy toughguy racists, cheaters, glitchers, whiners, glitchers, etc. etc. No thanks.
People are still arguing over this nonsense? The game is great, regardless of which platform you get it for. PC gamers seem to have a stick up their ass about consoles. Nobody cares. Console games sell better than their PC counterparts for a reason.
I'm ready to play this game. Now.
As someone who bought the original 360 primarily to play the first Gears of War and Mass Effect and has bought Gears 1, 2, and 3, I didn't even look at this game. Never even considered purchasing it. I'm just a bit tired of Gears. The sad part is I hear the game is really good. I just can't get excited about more Gears at this point.
Too many moments in a series full of brilliance to name a mere ten, but I commend the effort. I will miss this crew of heroes, castoffs, and misfits. Rare is the game that makes you feel, makes you care. While some focus on the ending of ME3 as the ruin of the series, I wholeheartedly disagree. This series is my favorite trilogy in gaming. Period. And when ME4 hits, I will be among the first to experience the new chapter in the Mass Effect galaxy. Intergalactic war perhaps? A man can ...
