Yeah, and I'm sure you're the expert to decide what an rpg is or isn't. Genius.
I was a die hard ps2 gamer and never really played the original xbox. Sony pissed me off with pricing/lack of games with the ps3 launch this gen while the 360 had Mass Effect and Gears of War which completely convinced me I needed a 360. I bought a ps3 later in the cycle when the price came down and there were more games for the system I wanted. I have dollars to spend, but these companies need to sell me. I'm not thrilled with the advertisements on xbox live gold. When I'm payin...
The ME series is the best trilogy in the history of gaming. That is all.
I can't wait to strangle/shoot my own doggy!!! Wait, did I say that out loud?
Games come with a ratings program, just like movies and television programs. What's next? Ban Breaking Bad because it glorifies meth dealers? How about banning The Walking Dead for it's brutality? How about taking responsibility for what your own kids are doing. If your seven year old is playing call of duty, maybe you should play closer attention to what forms of media they are ingesting.
Funny, I think senators who can't seem to contribute anything to solving the problems we face in this economy should be banned. Permanently.
I've said this time and again... if the next gen is not going to innovate and bring better a.i. and game design, then the next gen is coming too soon. I can wait. But make the wait worthwhile. If all we're going to get is a marginal improvement on what is currently available, what's the point? Something new and shiny for the sake of having something new and shiny? I'm very much looking forward to so many games in 2013. I'm content with my 360 and PS3. These companie...
GTA V, The Last of Us, Beyond:Two Souls, Tomb Raider, Splinter Cell:Blacklist, GOW:Ascension, GOW:Judgement, Watch Dogs, Bioshock Infinite, MGS:Ground Zeroes. Wow.
I don't think that 1313 will see the light of day in 2013.
I've played alot of games this year, and of what I have played Mass Effect 3 is my favorite experience by far. I haven't played every game, so I can't say if there has been a better game out there, but to me there is little fault to be found with ME3 overall. ME1 was the reason I bought a 360 early in it's life cycle, along with the original gears of war. The Mass Effect series is by far my favorite trilogy in the history of my gaming experience, which is quite extensive an...
The problem with these racists types is they are cowards ruled by fear. They realize they cannot compete so they lash out at others who they perceive to be a threat. Racism, hate, sexism, homophobia etc. etc. are signs of the weak minded. They are easily led down the path of hate, with no conviction or intestinal fortitude to discover their own path to the truth. Reminds me of a quote from Voltaire- "Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities". Th...
Good interview.
I agree with you 100 percent. The trilogy is fantastic and is without a doubt my favorite gaming experience this generation, bar none. The Uncharted series would come 2nd to Mass Effect series for me. It's brilliant. I have no idea why some people had such a problem with the conclusion of ME3. It's as if they were willing to discredit the phenomenal overall experience that was ME3 because they didn't care for the final 15 minutes of a 35 hour game. I can understand if you do...
There is little to no chance I will pay an annual subscription fee to Microsoft for Live next gen unless the specs on their next system far exceed those of their competitors. I own a 360 and PS3 this gen, and if Sony continues to offer free online I will go with them exclusively next time around, all other things being equal.
I play my 360 more than my PS3 but there is no question I enjoy the Sony's first person titles better than those from Microsoft. Microsoft is not delivering late in the console cycle for the hardcore, and that may cost them next gen depending on the technical specs of the next system. I definitely will not be paying a monthly fee for xbox live gold, so if they don't do away with that I'm out, especially considering the advertisement bombardment they have initiated recently. Gre...
Tomb Raider is definitely on my radar for early 2013 but it is going to have to be one tremendous experience to topple Uncharted 2, or even Uncharted 3 for that matter. I'm hopeful, but I don't expect it to reach that level even though it is a more open world experience.
I'm afraid that if Sony or Microsoft releases a console in 2013 it will not match the expectations from a technical perspective that gamers are expecting from the next gen systems. I hope they wait till 2014 and give us something to wow us, not just more of the same with slightly better graphics and lighting.
The first five months of next year looks ridiculous. GTA V, Tomb Raider, Splinter Cell Blacklist, Bioshock Infinite, Gears of War Judgement, Crysis 3, Remember Me, The Last of Us, God of War Ascension, and Dead Space 3? That's a lot of potential purchases in the first half of the year. This gen is going out with a bang. Add to that list Beyond Two Souls, Watch Dogs, and Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes at some point in 2013 and that is some lineup for next year.
Unlike the author of this article, I will wait to see what Sony and Microsoft have to offer before making ridiculous and uneducated comments about the next gen systems. I bought my 360 first this gen, and my PS3 three years afterward. I'm happy with the games on my xbox, but the advertisements on live and the price of the subscription are beginning to annoy me greatly. I have enjoyed the PS3 primarily for it's great exclusives, and the free online component was critical to my purch...
