I can't say I'm done with Gears permanently, but I have and never had any intention of buying GOW:Judgement. It looks like so much more of the same ol' same ol'. Time to move on. Maybe with the 720 (and maybe PS4) epic will change the formula and offer something new in the Gears universe. If that happens, I'll consider jumping back in. Until then, adios Gears, it was fun while it lasted.
The playstation reveal did exactly what it was supposed to do, which is whet gamers appetites. I laugh about people being upset about not seeing the console. I could care less. We'll see it at E3, or images will be leaked before E3. Sony did the far more important, which is give us the technical specs. Can you imagine what these same idiots would be saying if Sony had showed the console without revealing technical details? Get your priorities straight. They showed the controller, w...
Halo 4 has been available for 34.99 on Amazon for awhile now. Gee, thanks Microsoft.
I'll be getting both Watch Dogs and GTA V. Watch Dogs for my PS4, and GTA for my 360. Case closed.
I'll be buying it, I'll be playing it, and as it's the last piece of ME3 single player DLC, I'll be enjoying it and bidding farewell to the ME series on this generation of consoles. It is way overpriced, but the ME series is the only gaming series I have ever bought DLC for. Period. That is because I love Mass Effect. I don't buy map packs, or other such b.s. I own a 360 and PS3, and buy many, many games. But I never buy DLC, usually because by the time it's relea...
This game is looking fantastic. I'm very curious to see what the differences in gameplay/graphics/a.i. will be between PS4 and NextBox compared to current gen consoles.
As an owner of a 360 and a PS3 I can say that as of right now I'm heavily leaning toward purchasing the PS4 for my next console. The only way this would change is if Microsoft's NextBox is a technical behemoth, which is highly doubtful. Sony has tried and put out very good games late in the PS3's console cycle. I have no idea what Microsoft is doing, other than trying to reach into my pockets to steal my money whenever I turn my head. Sony keeps providing gaming hits for the P...
I'm interested, but from what I've seen so far the combat looks like it will be very repetitive. Hope I'm wrong, but I'll be checking it out more as the release date approaches.
What I know is this game has me intrigued. What I don't know is if Bungie can fulfill the many grandiose concepts they are discussing in association with this series of games.
I don't see how this qualifies as newsworthy. The PS3 has a sizeable base of consumers. I would anticipate that almost every studio in the next few years will release titles for a multitude of consoles and console generations. Why wouldn't they want to maximize their profits? Why would polyphony develop the next GT for PS4 only, when they have no idea how many gamers will purchase the system in it's early days? That would make no business sense at all. My only issue with dev...
I agree with 3gengames. I wouldn't have a problem paying 80 dollars for a game, however, that would mean my buying less games. I would still buy the big titles I want, but downloadable or indie purchases would see less of my dollars and games I'm on the fence about and not certain of would not be purchased. I own a 360 and PS3 currently, and pricier games would probably mean me only buying one system next gen, at least until console prices were reduced considerably. I'm curiou...
I hope Ubisoft really expands what is possible for this gametype with the new consoles, and doesn't limit what this game could be because they try to make nearly identical versions for the 360 and PS3, with the PS4 and Microsoft's new box merely getting shinier graphics. I want better A.I., bigger environments, better physics, etc. etc. from this game for my PS4. Do not disappoint us right out of the box please.
I would prefer it not to be a prequel, but ultimately, if the story is great it really wouldn't matter much. There is enough variety in the Mass Effect galaxy for Bioware to draw from to make a phenomenal prequel. Whatever direction they choose to go in, I'm just hoping I will love the next game as much as I enjoyed ME1, 2, and 3.
So let me get this straight...the author was wowed by the Wii U at E3 but wasn't wowed by the PS4 reveal? It was the complete opposite for me. Nothing about the Wii U screamed next gen, but then again, I never bought a Wii. Drive Club, Infamous:Second Son, Killzone:Shadow Fall, etc. looked fantastic. Watch Dogs was a stunner, but we already knew that. I have a feeling that folks are going to see what Watch Dogs on PS4 looks and plays like compared to it's counterpart on the PS3 a...
That is pretty damn impressive.
Like everything Mass Effect, I will be purchasing.
I own both the 360 and PS3. This gen I bought my 360 first, because this gen it had games I had to play before Sony did. I had to have Mass Effect and Gears of War. Based on the strength of those two games, and pretty much those alone, I chose to buy the 360 first. It was only later on in the PS3's life cycle where I felt there were games I could not miss out on, such as MGS4, God of War 3, and Uncharted 2. I tuned in hoping to see what Sony had in store and which console I might be ...
Well, I hope you're prepared to preorder the next xbox as well, because apparently the first game in the Destiny series is exclusive (at least for a year) for the next xbox. I have a ps3 and 360 this gen, but either the PS4 or the 720 will be purchased before the other next time around. Without knowing anything about the future consoles, the PS4 is leading for me personally right now due to games like the next Uncharted, Killzone, and Metal Gear. We will see.
Am I missing something here? Even before the last Gran Turismo released we heard rumblings from the developer that the PS3 didn't allow them to make the game they truly wanted to make because of limitations of the hardware. Hence some shortcuts were taken. How has this changed? This can't be their official stance. You're telling me they are willing to risk potentially losing sales to Drive Club? Now I know Drive Club will not be a sim like GT6, but it still doesn't make ...
