Mass Effect is phenomenal. It is without a doubt my favorite gaming experience of this generation, and the one I will remember years from now when thought of the others have long since faded.
Hell yes. I'm keeping my PS3 and will most likely trade in my 360 when I buy the PS4. Also not renewing my xbox live gold, but my psplus is not going anywhere. Sony or die.
Yet another article from some nothing of a "game journalist" picking some of the best games of a generation and calling them overrated. Yawn.
I'm excited by the new Ip's we don't know anything about yet. What will be to this years E3 what Watch_Dogs was to last years conference? What kind of changes in gameplay can we expect with the increased performance capabilities of the new consoles and how will developers utilize the new tools they have been given? Oh, and I'm really hoping to see what the next gen Uncharted will look like on new machinery. A trailer of that would be nice, but I doubt we'll see it.
I really can't understand why people spoil part of the game for themselves by playing a short demo. I can wait to ingest the full experience on June 14th.
A billion dollars over how many years? Let's say it's five years (which I seriously doubt, more like eight) that's 200 million annually. That is not that much considering how much big budget games cost to produce and advertise these days. A billion dollars is an incredible amount of money to be sure, but when you look at it from the perspective of an average triple A title costing around 50 million to produce, that's four games a year over five years. And some games cost m...
This just in...console gamers don't care about pc.
This one is easy to decipher...the battlefield 4 guy is speaking the truth, while John Carmack is literally a genius and probably feels that if he's going to be giving an endorsement he should be getting paid for it.
Fail.
Who gives a rip? Microsoft compromised their next gen system's gaming capabilities in order to offer the casual masses the opportunity to watch tv while skyping while your xbox one bakes a pie. Whatever games they offer won't make up for the fact that Sony's system is more powerful and has established franchises like Uncharted, God of War, and Infamous that millions of gamers are looking forward to, not to mention whatever new Ip's they will be announcing. Indie gaming? PS...
I will be playing. I will be buying a PS4. Thanks for asking.
Translation...49% of people are brain dead sheep being led to the slaughter. Good luck with that folks. I'll be enjoying my gaming on the PS4. If Microsoft proves their commitment to gaming later in the console cycle, I may pick one up. But their focus is in apps and kinect, and has been for a few years now. Their presentation only verified that is their chosen direction for the next generation also. Microsoft has built a console that will be incapable of maximizing it's potenti...
The only sense you make is nonsense. Back up your ridiculous ylod and blu ray deaths with stats or remain silent. Wise men speak because they have something to say, fools because they have to say something. Guess which category you fall in.
Ubisoft rarely takes a misstep. I'm sure whatever they bring to the table will be strong. Personally, I'm looking to see more from DriveClub, hopefully at E3.
PS4.
4k is not important for gaming at all. Unless you have an 80 inch screen and sit ridiculously close to your television, you will not notice the difference in resolution between 1080p and 4k. I'm good with 1080p and 60 fps. However, I don't believe all developers will opt to go down that road, especially multiplatform developers due to the apparent lack of the Xbox Ones capability of achieving that goal.
The sheep will buy the Xbox one because they are sheep. They don't know that they are being fleeced. Microsoft has demonstrated their greed and lack of focus on gaming for the last few years now. Their first party exclusives dried up long ago while Sony keeps cranking them out, even with new tech on the way this year. Go ahead, sign up for more of Microsoft's abuse. And like the sheep after a fleecing, you'll be left cold and naked in the mud. You will deserve it.
Another sheep being led to the slaughter.
I'm having a hard time trying to understand Nintendo's strategy. Launch a new console, but don't make any games for it. They have an extensive library of classic, iconic characters. They aren't utilizing them. Go figure. The last Nintendo console I bought was the Nintendo 64, so I'm not their target audience anymore, but I would still like to see them do well as I have fond memories of gaming on every single one of their consoles from the original NES (still the best ...
As someone who owns a 360 and a PS3, Microsoft has displeased me for a few years now, with no exclusives and the constant focus on kinect and the casual. They have displeased me enough for me to be certain I will be buying a PS4 first, and possibly not buying an Xbox One at all. I'm not completely sure I will not buy the Xbox One, but it certainly won't be purchased in 2013, and possibly not in 2014. I don't like Microsoft's path forward. They have gimped their own console...
