have any sites actually talked to Ubi about this? Seems like the sort of thing Joystiq, Kotaku or even Gamespot and IGN would be interested in nailing down for gamers out there.
I'm one of those that doubt the game will be incredible, but Free Radical has brought us some solid FPS games in the past, and I don't see any reason for that to change. I don't get why people are hating on this game so much.

and one that I hadn't thought about... normally all games, no matter how highly praised overall, have at least one detractor from a big source. Uncharted really doesn't seem to have that, just a lot of people that enjoyed it.

that does EVERYTHING better. Besides, Tomb Raider was inspired by Indiana Jones, and I think that Drake does a great job of portraying that character/style as well... to call Uncharted a ripoff is to give Tomb Raider too much credit.

They can still play the game, and I doubt that a lack of blood would affect it that much. If you didn't know it was missing you probably wouldn't notice anyway, it's not like it plays a major role to the gameplay or plot. This is likely just because they were going for a lower age rating on the game, nothing else.

And probably sold; should be good fun in between courses on Thanksgiving, hope it's easy enough for everyone in the family to try.

is if you aren't able to deliver the game you promised.

Yes, I'm looking at you Altair, go back to your corner until I'm finished playing Uncharted.

"Or maybe they reviewed a game, thought it was the best thing ever, gave it a 95 and the next week a game comes in and suddenly that is the best thing ever, and they feel compelled to give it a higher score."

I sorta wondered if this is part of why we saw so many mid-high 80 scores on Uncharted; a lot of reviewers knew that Mass Effect was coming out the same week, but were preparing reviews for Uncharted the week before since it was the smaller of the two titles. Whe...

but there are plenty of days where I question whether it's $50 better or not.

Sounds like my kinda girl... but back on topic, also sounds like a good game to release right before Thanksgiving to me, if that's when we're getting it. I'd totally dismissed this game, but I might have to actually see how it turns out, and invite the family to a few frames.

and you used them both to post the exact same stupid comment.

and with Free Radical behind it I think it could be a great game. Probably not AAA (whatever that means these days) but a completely enjoyable game that throws a few new mechanics into the FPS mix.

I can think of plenty of examples of frustrating games, but the common thread for me is a feeling that I didn't die/lose because I wasn't playing well enough, but just because of luck. I have no problem losing a round over and over because I keep making mistakes, or die repeatedly because I'm just not playing well enough; but when it feels like I'm losing just because the game's idea of a challenge is to just make it next to impossible to pass a section without luck, trial and error or some o...

and basically have had to force myself to stop playing to get some work done since. Incredible game all around, and at this point I don't see how any of the reviewers could have gone less than a 9 without feeling a bit guilty about it.
Simply put, this is the GOTY for the PS3, and a title everyone with the piano black box should own.

In my mind, Ubi definitely put Jade out there to help promote this game with her good looks as much as anything else. I never saw a post about an interview with her where the majority of comments were "she made some great points and really showed the games..." it was always something about her looks, and of course plenty of sexual comments as well. From that standpoint, I think Ubi and Jade both should have seen stuff like this (or worse) coming, and I'm not really sure if they can ...

Wow, none of those really play like Uncharted does. Some great games in there, and elements of a few overlap a bit, but sort of missed the point of what I was saying. If it were another shooter game, then yeah, I could see where the competition would be coming from with titles like Gears and the dozen FPSs that are out there. Even a straight-up platformer would have to compete with R&C and Mario (although that still leaves the 360 with squat) but Uncharted doesn't exactly fall into that ...

Give this game high numbers where it counts; with sales. I've had mine pre-ordered for months, and haven't given a single one of the "low" reviews a second thought.
