but the majority of people who will be watching avi files on the 360 (and soon enough the ps3) will be watching files downloaded from the internet... and often not legally. Besides, do you think that the mp3 format didn't benefit from how easy it made it to share music online?
Gerstmann didn't gain respect from anyone, Gamestop just lost it from a lot of people. I'm sure he'll have no problem finding another job since his name is out there and everywhere, but I doubt anyone is going to visit any particular site/mag/whatever just because they hire this guy on.
There, fixed the title.
I've had the same problems with the 360 version as well, so I don't get why all the blame is getting heaped on the PS3. Freezing, getting stuck while performing some actions, and just generally a lack of polish all around show that this is Ubi's problem, and this statement shows that they don't care to fix it now that's it's sold either.
we keep hearing about how HDDVD is trouncing BluRay in standalone sales, but from these numbers it sounds like they are winning THAT battle by 50,000... not exactly the widest of margins. I'd expected it be much more the way that they keep bragging about it.
I've never felt that the sixaxis felt cheap or fragile because of it's weight, I personally have no problem with a lighter controller. I know a lot of people feel differently, but then again a lot of people think SUVs are safer because they are bigger, so... maybe it's an American thing?
if the past firmware updates are any indication, the internet will give it a date and then erupt all on it's own if it's not met. Remember the 2.0 backlash because of what people "expected" to be in the update?
Kane & Lynch gets called out other than the current controversy boiling over about it. There are several meh-tastic games on the list that are worth completely ignoring in a goty poll, not just that one.
Show me how those have a standard set of features; they may all do one thing in the same way, but they are hardly a group of products providing one feature set to the consumer, or examples of industries that are the result of one manufacturer.
Keep dreaming Dyack, as long as there is money to be made off a product, there will be competition between companies to make that money.
at HD DVD blog... or maybe you lost me at that. Either way I knew once that url popped up I was going to see an attempt at some incredible spin; instead all I got was some fanboy jealousy passed off as a "revelation".
Give it up already guys, we'll all be much better off if you do.
That's the only thing you've said I agree with.
"internet forums and message boards do not normally qualify as a reliable source." From the posting guidelines. Just because some random blogger picks it up as "news" doesn't make it so.
Hope they use some of the AI code they forgot to include in Assassin's Creed.
I can see why you have so many bubbles, and I totally agree with you. There are a handful of people on this site that I ignore, but with so many people responding to them every time they post their BS, it doesn't really matter too much.
Back on topic, I really hope they make it so the GH controller will work with Rock Band, and vice-versa. I have a buddy that bought both, and it's ridiculous to think that because of the developers, he can't use the controllers he already has to...
And considering that MS seems to have Rare focusing mostly on "family" games, I don't think we'll see another Killer Instinct out of them for the time being anyway.
It certainly isn't a good time of year for these stories to be coming out... at least, if you own stock in MS it isn't.
That product is the game, and the console. Not making of videos.
The idea of selling this sort of stuff is ridiculous, no matter how hard you spin it.
but I've had problems with the 360 version as well... freezing mid-game, once while loading and other random bugs, some minor and some major.
It's not the consoles, it's the damn game that Ubi forgot to bug-hunt.
and I know he likely used that name to get the point across... but still, going into xbox live would be like hitting a roadhouse bar with a shirt emblazoned with the same text and acting like you aren't looking for trouble. It may not be right, but it's also stupid to act like he wasn't looking for this exact reaction from people.
Besides, it's the anonymity of the internet in full effect, and acting like Live is some special instance of this is ridiculous. That username would attract ...
We've come full circle... I thought we'd never have to sift through posts consisting of nothing but pictures of PS3 boxes ever again. Guess with no new games releasing this week people had to find something else to amuse themselves.
they just remove a reason to stay with Silver... yeah, that sounds like a Microsoft business plan alright. I'm sure it will get people to pony up for a subscription who didn't before, but it still seems pretty underhanded.
