Upgrading the console? Worked great for Sega...

Did it as part of one of the Old Spice Challenges, trying to get those bloody points... that was easily the closest I've come to throwing the controller through my TV screen. It's not that it's hard in a skills-challenging way, it's just frustrating trial and error with a little bit of luck thrown in on occasion. I made it through, but it definitely wasn't what I'd call a lot of fun.

So far Burnout is the only game I've played where you can pause it anytime you want, in multi- or single-player modes, and access the friends list. Although Haze's (and many others) sort of implementation beats nothing, I won't be happy with it until I can send and receive a message at any point in the game, not just at predetermined menu screens.

First post out covered it perfectly. Online achievements are one of the most annoying things ever, and limiting the number of credited kills/achievements each round is only going to make them worse all around. Just do away with them altogether, please!

How very... short.

The thing is, HD-DVD dropped in price in direct response to the momentum Blu-Ray was picking up because of the PS3. The HD-DVD players that were so affordable were crippled, unable to even show the movies in 1080p, and were a last ditch effort to prolong the whole fiasco. It's hard to tell if the war even could have ended should HD-DVD had more success since there are so many PS3s out there, or if the studios/manufacturers would have been able to keep selling players and movies at discounted ...

But the way it's written totally discounts it. Not sure if he's trying to be entertaining, or just plain insulting, but it comes across very poorly either way.

Proper english? I suppose that's the sort of response to expect from someone who's bio is mostly made up of their educational credentials.

This does seem to be the opposite of the info posted here:

Had the same problem tonight, first time I've had GTA freeze up on me. Must be something that the game is trying to connect to on launch and instead is hanging...

Definitely must have been that he had that much done before the Social Club went online. Especially considering that even going through all the main missions as quickly as possible, you still wouldn't be at 100% complete; that means all the packages found, all the extra stuff done, etc... hope they don't take you off the list Ninja, since it sounds like you did it all legit.

You aren't denting my argument at all; if anything, you are reinforcing it. The fact is, we get what we want as a whole, whether it's for the best, worst or whatever. I see the bigger picture pretty clearly, and you are completely right. People have become so complacent and numb to what is going on that it takes something major to even get them to look up, but it will take even more to get them to take action.
The thing is, we wouldn't see reporting on the candidates that we now see if...

Their comment would have likely read "I never use my membership anyway, so..." or something like that. The WiiFit will be great for people who get ZERO exercise now, but it's not a replacement for going to the gym, or likely even going for a brisk walk.

The thing is, WE give the government it's power, and WE give the corporations their money.
Nobody in control of this country got there through pure brute force, but through agreements, votes and the support of We the People. Not all of them may not have gotten there honestly, but in the end we are the ones who voted for the people in charge of us and funded the companies we now rely on. We are the ones who allow them to remain in power. We're all to blame for what's going on, good and b...

I take you are a Libertarian, or at least have similar beliefs? If so, good on you. One thing I've learned over the past few years is that those who don't see the problems with socialist systems are the same ones who benefit the most from them. The fact of the matter is, in this country most people would rather turn over a bit of freedom to the government in exchange for a bit of comfort.

People need to realize why our country is in the mess it's currently in—it's because we have...

That really surprised me. For all the user base rhetoric we kept hearing, the PS3 is actually moving software; now, if that damn attachment rate would go up a little faster...

But compared to most shooters, this is a bastion of reality. It's all about the balance between realism and fun; how many people would want to play a game where you get shot in the stomach, slowly bleed out and then get kicked back to the lobby to start a new game?

Excited. Motorstorm was quite hard in the later levels, but also more fun than most racers I've played in a long time. As I've said before, it's one of the first racing games where I'd rather be in 3rd or 4th place, battling it out than leading the pack by a hundred yards. The fun of that game definitely lay in not just find the best line around the tracks, but in trying to wreck those around you doing the same.

And one that should be brought up as a counterpoint to every argument brought up about RE5 being racist. I also agree with him that blacks are under and poorly represented in video games, especially in roles outside of the ones that Hollywood has created.

It doesn't take a whole clip to kill someone. Put all three bullets in someone with an M16, especially with Stopping Power on, and they drop.
