Interesting indeed.
"Too old for video games" only exists in the minds of people that don't understand games or buy into the stereotypes and know nothing about them. Most still associate video games as "kid stuff". Are you ever too old to play cards, checkers, or monopoly? Those are games. Just not advanced electronic types of games. You learn to play ball as a kick, shouldn't we tell pro athletes they are too old to play ball?
I started with a Atari 2600 and played ...
Holy semantics.
I'm still amazed new release are not $100 new these days. I don't remember what the Atari 2600 games cost, they were hand me downs from my brother. But I remember many NES and Genesis titles hitting $50. I paid up to $70 for some SNES and N64 games. Then the Playstation restarted things. $30-40. Then $50 on the PS2, and now two consecutive generations of $60. Instead of raising prices you have optional DLC. I can live with that since what we get from games is so much greater than past...
I enjoyed that recent MOH and MOH:Warfigter, but they never lived up to their potential. I know the series is in limbo now but I hope its not dead forever. I would love to see them go back to WW2. I know people say WW2 has been done to death, but so has modern combat, and space combat, and zombies, etc. It doesn't matter. As long as a game is good there is room for it.
Wild thought...abandon multiplayer? Its already going to be tough to find room with the likes of COD a...
I think we could say MOH was already standing on the ledge, COD just came and pushed it off.
Looking at those pictures, I would actually welcome a new WW2 game.
At one point I had both consoles reserved. Now I decided to just go PS4 and put the extra coin on games.
PS4 console Battlefield 4 bundle with 1 yr PS+
Killzone,COD:Ghosts Hardened edition, Assassins Creed 4,
Need for Speed Rivals, Fifa 14, Injustice, Season passes for BF and AC. $990 total before tax. All paid off. Thank goodness I traded in things at the right times.
Had I stuck with the Xbox also, another year of Live, Dead Rising, Ryse...
Epic has always said they own the Gears IP and can do what they want with it. I hope they finally go multiplatform. I would welcome a new game in the Gears universe. Just move it into the future some. New characters, new story and enemies. Show a world that has been rebuilt.
For all the people complaining that Microsoft paid to keep it exclusive. Do you really live in a bubble where you think Sony has never paid for exclusive 3rd party games and content? Or that they don't have that in the works for the future? Both do it, its a viable strategy for them from a business perspective. You think these companies just hand over exclusive games an content to either company and cut their potential sales without receiving any form of compensation? Come back to reality...
I always wanted an expanded version of Oasis for Rush. Expand the territory on the opposite sides of the river, add some more buildings over there and move a few capture points to that sides.
Sweet...StarCharted. I'm in.
I blame people for being dummies and the venue for not organizing this stampede better. The word FREE just makes people go bonkers.
If I'm paying the same price I'll take the disc every time. But some of the PS+ sales prices on games and bundles are way too good to pass up.
I would much prefer a DLC expansion for Fifa 14 they way they did the Euro 2012 for Fifa 12.
Well out of 7 games, they are either all fully paid with trade in credit or part of a bundle from amazon, except one. The only thing left is to go to Target and get Madden, NBA, and Knack.
Yeah I don't know what that specific promo applied but it surprised me. I was happy with the standard $110. It might have just been one of those weekend trade promotions they run sometimes. Looking at my receipt right now I see it was a 50% bonus on all trades, then the 10% power up member bonus on everything but the console. I see the deal on website. It runs up through Nov 3 and and gives 50% to games, accessories, and systems. The guy told me it didn't matter as long as I bough...
I've got enough games reserved for launch already, but this is too good to pass up.
I'm keeping my PS3, but I just took my Xbox to Gamestop the other day and got $180+ for the console, extra controller, and remote. The site said $110 was the trade value on the 320gb console. When I took it in they said I would get an extra 60% on everything if I bought any used game. Even on the console they said which is normally not the case. I don't know if thats right or they screwed up but I bought a $15 used game, netted all that extra credit and promptly spent it all on PS4 st...
I picture most of the people here frothing at the mouth outside the Microsoft campus banging pitchforks against the fence.
