Downsizing and removing internal fan = bad idea?

Well if COD wants to accurately represent modern warfare, then it's not really a matter of fairness. The U.S. armed forces currently don't allow women to actively engage in ground combat. For authenticity's sake, and given the grittiness and violence in the new CoD games, it's probably best to leave it as it is.

Besides, it's not like NO fps war games have women in them. If you really want to play as a female, Rainbow Six Vegas 2 gives you that option.

Grats, you've missed the point.

The author of the article is just another trend-slave who clearly has never played a Brothers in Arms game before.

10v10? That's a huge step above the previous games' 2v2. 20 players is plenty of ppl for a game that lets each player control 3-6 AI units. If you can do math, then you'll know it'll definitely feel a lot bigger than 10v10.

No TDM and Free-for-All?
Boo hoo. Like I said, this person never played BiA and does not get that it's a strategy game, w...

Not saying he didn't do much for MGS4, but his job at Kojima was to make a Japanese game more accessible to the Western audience. What the hell good is that gonna do for Halo?

I feel the same way. The first was a great game, the second was good, but it didn't innovate nearly enough. $60 for a polished-up version of a game just doesnt sit right.

Funny how he compares them against Mario.

I'm not a habitual Nintendo basher but everything he says is just too true. Nintendo really does like to screw around with its customers with its big bag of gimmicks and regurgitated sequels, and all they ever do is eat it right up. I honestly don't remember them INNOVATING in any of their "flagship" franchises since Super Mario 64.

I bought a DS a year ago, thought it was cool at first, but now realize that it, like most other Nintendo consoles, lacks depth and is wo...

How do they explain the Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway screenshot?

I love Valve's games, but this is really kinda sad, and it's probably karma for Gabe Newell being such a d-bag to us recently, so I don't feel bad pouring salt on the wound.

Not a reflection on the stuff Valve puts out in any way, just FTR.

I agree completely. There's probably a really good reason why so many ppl love the SOCOM series, but to people like me who've never played it, the game is looking pretty horrible. The messy graphics, the mediocre-looking combat, and the awkward movement and motion (motion-capture my ass, these guys move nothing like in real life) makes the game look more dated than Counter Strike 1.6.

Like I said, I havent been playing the previous SOCOM games, they're probably great games, bu...

Since when was paying $60 for the same game with new skins acceptable?

I completely understand reusing the idea of perks since they were so successful, but shouldn't we expect Treyarch to come up with a bit more than just 5 of their own? What's next, am I going to have to be a brigadier general just to unlock a government-issue m1 carbine? Seriously, how is Treyarch getting away with making a carbon-copy of CoD4?

I love CoD4 to death, and i'd love to play more of...

I'm no fan of Gamespot, but it's a fair review. Every R&C game has been great IMO, but the Cons they listed really are heavy-hitters. I'm used to having all 3 as a major part of my R&C experience.

Looks like Haze in terms of gameplay.

The split-second weapon swapping and grenade tossing bothered me the most, made it feel rigid and unnatural, like the old cheesy types of shooters.

Ubisoft always hypes its FarCry games very well, and it always sounds and looks extraordinary on paper. The amazing map editor is back. I just hope they didn't keep the run-and-gun that killed the previous console versions.

Anyhoo, looking forward to seeing how this one turns out. The first one was good, but not quite solid enough to be a must-buy. Hopefully, this one will only be better....
