How does a rerelease mean the content doesn't suck anymore? If(hypothetical "if") it sucked the first time, it'll probably suck the second time, unless they've been working hard to improve it for rerelease, but that would screw over first-time buyers.

Or is it a fanboy reaction? I guess some of us PS3 owners would be willing to change our minds about the DLC if it did end up coming to our console...

If the engine is different, why does the gameplay look exactly the same?

I am aware that MW2 uses the IW 4.0 engine that wasn't present in MW1, but the only difference is really the name. It's nothing revolutionary, it's nothing groundbreaking, and we'll hardly notice the difference, other than a few tweaks and minor improvements that are naturally expected to occur over time. We need to ask ourselves "what are we really getting?" instead of just "what do Activis...

Just in time for the movie :P

Why is the Collector's Edition more than double the price of the Regular?

Valve: Out of ideas/developing talent, so they bring other games down.

It's still a must-buy for me, i'm just not going to overpay.

"Mw2 has way more value than previous iterations."

How so? I loved CoD4, and I know this game will be good, but it's really just CoD4 with a map pack, weapon skins, and new perks. The gameplay and engine look identical to that of the 2 year-old CoD4. It's what we would've called in the previous generation an "expansion pack." Hell, this game is something the PC modding community could've created, if IW would allow it. Not worth the full retail price. Better ...

I tried really hard to like SOCOM. I bought it RECENTLY (after all the patching) with the understanding that it would be a challenging game to learn, and even harder to master. I was expecting fierce competition from serious gamers, and I got what I was expecting. But pretty quickly I realized why I wasn't enjoying it. It just wasn't fun. I knew the game was made to be hardcore, but if you have a game where you have to be 100% serious about it all the time and can't have any room for error wh...

"It's funny how the people that think XBL is a "rip-off" are the ones that don't have X360s."

Obviously, as people who think something is a rip-off usually tend to avoid it.

I've had both Xbox Live and PSN and I really believe all that's missing from PSN that a sensible person would need is more people to talk to via headset, but that's provided solely by the users, not the company, so there's no sense in paying Microsoft for that.

The rocket fired by the soldier was probably a Javelin missile. The target acquisition system in the Javelin makes the rocket fly straight up after firing, and then drop back down on its target almost like a mortar.

Please don't cite Iron Man as a military technology reference ever again.

You guys are missing the bigger picture. The problem isn't Valve copying character designs and putting them in a game that they're working on. It's Valve getting generally all their ideas from the community and attempting to profit from them. In case you haven't noticed, MOST of Valve's big-hit games are simply repackaged mods made by the community (Counter Strike, Left 4 Dead, etc). Valve has the nasty habit of taking ideas generated by the community, doing minimal work, and making a profit ...

I somewhat agree that developers should be able to charge a bit more if they TRULY and WHOLEHEARTEDLY deserve it (mostly if they spent more money to make it), but unfortunately, human beings can't remain objective. What will happen is the developers who produce BAD games will still consider them good (wouldn't YOU take extra pride in a game you made?) and THINK their game is good enough to sell at a higher price, when it probably isn't. We'll end up with a majority of games with inflated pric...

Activision's trying to make it bigger than a console launch, and at this rate, pricier too.

This game's been out for six years now. Why did gays pick now to make a fuss over it?

6170d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

they're not. judging by the low price point (decent NVGs usually cost $500+), i'm guessing these are Generation 1. If so, they'll be so limiting that they make your night vision worse.

6172d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Based on the ridiculously low price of the package, i'm guessing these NVGs are Generation 1, as a decent later-gen pair of NVGs SHOULD cost upwards of $600. If thats the case, this package isn't really worth buying. Night vision goggles vary in quality based on how wide and how deep their fields of view are, and how clean the image is. Crappy generation 1 goggles actually make your night vision WORSE, as it severely limits your field of view and gives you a fuzzy image that doesn't go more t...
