Are they seriously trying to suggest that DLC can compete with a full-featured triple-A release?
"Rainbox Six Vegas 2 Xbox 360 - Free"
what the hell?
"Dynasty Warriors 4 PlayStation 3 Game - $29.99"
doesn't exist.
"All Used Games And Gaming Accessories - B2G1 Free "
not a bad deal, considering i wanted R2 and Battlefield BC anyway :D
Holding parts of the core game hostage for money?
This is simply greed begatting more greed.
Ever wonder why Epic has it out for used games so bad? Because every used game bought is one less copy shipped from Epic's warehouse. I don't see why any of us should even be thinking about getting rid of used games, since Epic's motivation to do so is simply to boost their own profit margins. This reflects very poorly on Epic's higher leadership and the morality of its executive...
I agree with the author as much as I disagree. First off, I too am disappointed by the game's grossly black-and-white portrayal of the "evil Japanese" in WaW. People need to understand that good/evil is NEVER absolute. Unfortunately, CoD:WaW's overly negative portrayal will give gamers misconceptions about an entire culture. But take it from a different perspective, and everything changes. Watch "Letters from Iwo Jima," and you might even cry for some of the "evil Jap...
The devs at Treyarch must be freaking 11 or something.
CoD7 will probably be Chuck Norris fighting ninjas in Vietnam.
Because I can definitely see "Bigger, Better, and More Badass" popping up in the next trailer.
This has been my biggest gripe about the CoD series. It's that they love to take the bloodiest, most gruesome and devastating war in human history and make it "Totally frickin sweet!" All the previous games (up to 4) were pretty much just three things:
a) Scores of Germans getting hopelessly shot up in the most biased scenarios i've ever seen
b) Trium...
But seriously, no one is NOT gonna buy Gears 2 because of him, especially at a time when the 360 blockbuster streak is coming to a close.
Only way I see Cliffy B affecting Gears sales in any way would be Gears 3, when the gaming community will by then know better than to buy into his overhyping bullsh!t.
This isn't news.
Awesome, but not news.
Whatever happened to Microsoft's press statement saying that the Xbox division "didn't have very deep pockets?"
Gonna have to call BS on this one.
I haven't heard of a single person going out and buying the 360 Arcade since the price cut. The Core machine just doesn't sell. Poop with sprinkles on it is still poop.
"is that they released their own blutooth headset with socom.
SOCOM is 4.5 on ign
you think that will attract people when they see the bundle at local store...assuming already that they have 3rd party headsets."
The PS headset is sold separately for $50, which is about what Microsoft would charge for their own first-party headset. The SOCOM bundle being sold for $60 is like buying the headset and getting a cheap game which, according to you, is w...
Better than Resistance 2 and Gears 2? We'll see.
A bold statement on their part, considering they're using last year's formula copied and pasted into WW2.
Let's take a step back and look at what you just did:
Medal of Honor Heroes 2 (Holy sheepsh!t, you've gotta be pretty hardcore to STILL be playing this dead franchise)
Metroid 3 Corruption (well, at least it's an FPS, and a decent one to boot. By Nintendo standards, thats pretty hardcore)
Mario Stickers (oh good, you're joking)
Red Steel 2 (the first one sucked so bad, you've gotta be hella hardcore to even bother with this one)
maybe he just wanted to disavow any ownership-based bias.
maybe he wants to convey that he owns a Nintendo product and has legitimate complaints derived from first-hand experience, instead of plain fanboy hatred.
and technically, yeah. he CAN downplay anything he wants. this is the internet. he certainly has the right, whether he owns a wii or not.
friggin finally.
The MP better be hella good, because the campaign levels looks as fake and scripted as ever.
.....meaning only able to afford $50 million DLC every once in a while?
Other way around, bro.
Up until CoD4, i always thought Call of Duty played more like a bad Western set in WW2 than an actual war game.
You can't really expect a game to be much good on its own if it's only purpose is to parody another...
It really does come down to familiarity. I switched from PS2 to Xbox to PS3, and each time I adjusted without much trouble. Going back to a controller you haven't used in a while always feels weird. I got my ps3, played it for a couple weeks, then tried playing Halo 2, and it felt totally awkward and foreign to me, but that definitely wasn't the controller's fault. So no one controller is better than the other if you use it regularly.
Although I must say the general layout, sha...
