Problem with this type of game is they tend to go with one extreme or the other. No guns, and it'll be too stealthy for most - even Res evil knows that. All guns blazing, and it'll put off the survival horror fans. Needs to be a balance, I think. Bit like the first dead space, but with System shock 2 tasks and Res evil survival elements.
I think the general idea behind F2P is that the game can be completed without any in game purchases - it just may be more difficult. Of course, Capcom isn't likely to go that way imo. More likely, pay to win with these guys, but here's hoping I'm wrong.
look at the big orange banner on the screen of BF4.Reporters tent to want to sensationalise so they tend to overplay these things and drop words that don't make their point.
I Think the clue is in the 'up to' 45% faster. It doesn't say 45% faster- check again. Have you guys never been to the sales? Today only, UP TO 50% off? You search around only to find one item at the stated 50% off ! The rest? Well, you might save a couple of quid, but certainly not 50% This is probably nearer the truth for the this API too. Probably a few gains in some areas, on some engines, and not so much on others. Net result, pretty much parity. Still, if it does turn out to...
Lets keep some proportion here, and look closely at what's going on. Hackers for the most part are usually no more than an irritant, a bit like cyclists while driving. You need to be aware and watch for them, but if you are sensible, all is well. Often times, things they do seem to annoy and frustrate us, because as gamers we can't always see the bigger picture. Sure, attacking gaming servers isn't a gamer friendly activity, but that isn't the whole story, is it? EA have a very...
Sorry, but I fail to see the distinction. If bringing a server down is the main objective and, it can be achieved through the use of 'tools', then who wrote those tools is moot, don't you think? Unless of course you are intentionally trying to romanticise the term 'hacker'. After all, we all use software other people have written every time we power on our PC's or tablets or mobile phones. In all seriousness though,I do understand your point, but re-inventing the wheel...
I'm gonna state the obvious, just for clarification. Dos and DDos aren't the same attack. As you are aware, creating a DDOS requires the use of many end points, not one. While the actual execution may appear simple,I don't think it's quite as straightforward as many of you think to combine and co-ordinate that kind of attack. Although, never having tried it, I wouldn't be absolutely sure on that. Anyway, I would wager vulnerabilities exist on every web site there is, regard...
It really doesn't matter how you try to protect your privacy, it simply isn't possible. If you use modern technology at all, then you're already monitored, period.
So, what can you do? Have you ever lied? Have you ever twisted the facts to your advantage? Data can be collected, but it can't easily be verified if you are smart in what you do. As for the American government being worse than UK,it's not. Try a little research - look at the number of surveillance camera...
System seller at last! Well done Ninty... Just joking guys, I love Nintendo, porn or no.
Personally,I think 6.5 is being a little over generous for this game.I purchased the PS4 'shadow fall bundle' at launch, and I am currently, unimpressed with the whole deal. Specifically though, this game is just poor imo. Graphics? Very average guys, sorry, but if you ever get round to owning a half decent PC gaming rig then you will understand that statement. Still, graphics aside, because it's not just about graphics, right? This game for me, is just a mishmash of old worn out F...
@ indysurfn Yes, well said. Although, I wouldn't say it carries NO weight in court, your comments I believe are essentially correct. My understanding of English law at least, is that a clause added to a contract has to be 'reasonable' before that specific clause can be enforced in a court of law. In the example you give of the parking lot, the parking lot has a duty to provide reasonable security and care while your car is parked in their lot , and if they don't, it doesn...
@Choda
Ignore the hecklers, if it's any consolation I feel exactly the same about my PS4 purchase, currently. Apart from the fact I wouldn't want an X1 in exchange, that is :) Being objective for a moment, it appears both consoles are having teething issues which hopefully will be resolved in due course. IMO, PS4 UI is abysmal and the share and capture nonsense just clutters everything up. And forget the absolutely crap browser implementation and the fact there's no DNLA ...
Just let me turn the god damn awful in-game music off,and I'll not post what I really think of KZSF. What the hell were they thinking?...I know how we can innovate, let's stop'em turning the music off!! Way to dictate to your customers! Oh, and while I'm at it - the speeding trains section! Nothing more than frogger with updated graphics! Well to be honest frogger was, and still is, more fun to play. Yours truly,
Very disappointed!
Why a Steam box? Windows store, that's why! I'll leave the smarter one's amongst you to fill in the gaps.
Hi,guys. Not that my opinion is anymore valid than yours, but it's generally accepted that a 3-4% failure rate is within tolerance for complex electrical/electronic devices. Also, it's worth noting that most electrical appliances are expected to fail within a very short period of time from new -if they're going to fail, or at the end of their anticipated lifetime. That's assuming of course, that there isn't a definite design fault as with the 360.Based on that premise, I w...
I don't beleive this to be true, and I'll give you an example why. I live in UK,and this gen my four closest buddies and myself all have an 360(I also have PS3).However, all of us will be PS4 only this time around.Casting the net wider, most of my work colleagues who have expressed a preference have pre-ordered, or are going to buy later,PS4. Now, I know this is only anecdotal, and doesn't in any way constitute a scientific sample, but there deffinately appears to be a shift away ...
I'm not sure I agree with his opening assumption that everyone wants myriad fuctionality from a games console - sorry,I mean media box.I can understand perhaps, the benefits of a smartphone that has 'everything'. Sure, because it's portable device and as such, you need all apps in one place, albeit at reduced performance. However, the average lounge at home probably has multiple devices that are much more specialist and tuned to provide a specific experience. For example,at home,...
Hey, MontyQ. I'm one of the two people you speak of. I installed Win 8 on my spare SSD in my PC gaming rig when Windows 8 first launched, you know, just to try it out.I run Win7 on my main SSD, but Win8 is still there on my second drive, because, well,I'll be damned if I can find the button to remove it! :)
Really though, more BS from MS to bump up poor sales of a tablet designed OS, I think.
Specifications are, as is witnessed by this website, open to interpretation and spin. Still, I'd like to suggest a word that is used quite often in electronics and that word is 'Headroom'. Now, it's quite an innoculous word at first glance, but it may hold a little insight as to why the PS4 specs do in fact, matter.See, it goes like this -devs like to push hardware, so much so, that quite often in intense games for example, we may encounter frame rate drops or slow down.Obviou...
I enjoy nothing more than just occasionally, every now and again, dusting off my old Atari 800 and playing a game of MULE - gotta live in luxurious splendour! Pop a cartridge into my SNES for a quick blast of the best ever street fighter or so these rosy coloured specs would have me believe. Even reminisce what survival horror was really all about back in the day with a touch of the classic Res evil on my trusty PS1. Maybe it's just me, or maybe it's a generational thing - I am rather...
