There is legislation in most of Europe and in the US that governs how companies advertise their promotions of this kind, in relation to prices. It's an old trick that many years ago companies got sued over.Hence the legislation to protect the consumer. However, like most legislation of this type,it doesn't go far enough. So,it's legal, but a little unsavoury.
Can I just pick up on this physical Vs digital question. Personally, I only ever buy physical copies of games although,I...

Guys-girls?.I would like to make a couple of observations, then ask a serious question to anyone who has downloaded a PS2 game and actually run it on PS4. Okay, firstly,to the people saying if you have your old PS2 and old games, just use them.Have you ever actually hooked up a PS2 to a modern day LCD screen? If you have, you'll know the games are practically unplayable.PS2, as I've pointed out elswhere, ouputs it's display in analogue format -designed for old CRT analogue displays....

Gonna take a slightly different perspective on this. While I have played and enjoyed, both TW3 & FO4, my vote goes to TW3.For me, the deciding factor is passion ! Clearly, CD project Red have dedicated and passionate developers who care about their product, even if it doesn't always goes to plan.So rare to find that level of commitment in a mega dollar grossing industry. FO4 on the other hand, while a fantastic and hugely enjoyable game just doesn't smell of that same dedication to...

I own: Gaming PC,Xboxone,PS4.....
PS2 emulation on PS4 really is, a big deal.Setting aside all the issues surrounding how it will be implemented from a financial perspective - Personally,I would be happy with a digital purchase option if it turns out not to be free. However, and I don't know if this point has already been mentioned, but the technical requirements of doing this right, far exceed what MS has donewith 360 BC,IMHO.Here's why. Both the 360 and X1 provide digitial dis...

I really don't see how this matters. If it turns out to be a small map AND a poor game, people will still buy the next iteration anyway.Just look at COD.Why? Well, most gamers have the attention span of super athletes, but the memory span of a goldfish. So we'll shoot everything in site without blinking for hours on end, but by the time we traverse the 11 minutes of map we'll have forgotten how we got there!

I'm just talking campaigns here.
Yes, it is easy. Halo CE - a genuine AAA. Combat, story, musical score=complete immersion.Followed by Halo2. Then,eh, who cares after that.As for Destiny comment, well yeah Destiny is closer to Halo CE than any of the other Halo's in terms of combat,IMHO.

Fallout4,definately go with Fallout4! If you value that meagre game time you have, stay away from Divinity! Divinity is old skool RPG with turn based combat and very little in the way of hand holding. It's no place for the young and innocent.Finish your studies, have a family, enjoy a little of life. Then, and only then, will you be ready for the likes of Divinity. However, should you choose to ignore my advice, then for god's sake make sure you keep a close friend's number with you at...

This has been going on for years. We must realise all digital communications are monitored and recorded, start with that knowledge. However, also know this, information is RARELY useful for the reasons it's supposedly collected for. Think about, if you know all communications are monitored you could then use that knowledge to your advantage, couldn't you? And that's exactly what happens.

It's good that finally many gamers are now coming to the realisation that, with both the PS4 and the Xbox1, gamers were sold a pigs ear as a silk purse! It's good, not because I'm trying to run the consoles down - I own both, but because only when gamers unite on an issue does it get attention from MS and Sony. An example is MS and the DRM fiasco. The truth is, both consoles are relatively underpowered, that's not to say they aren't good, but we really shouldn't be havi...

**** Just my opinion, based on the story so far. ****

Quite a few devs on this gen consoles - 60fps not required, I don't really like it.It doesn't really make a difference.

Translation - We can't achieve hi res AND 60fps on this gen consoles.

Prediction for next gen consoles

Devs will say - Oh yes, for true immersion you need hires and at LEAST 60fps

Translation - At last consoles capable of prod...

A couple of times during the game I was unsure what decision to make. This wasn't because of how that would be reflected ingame, but how it made me feel about making a particular decision. I knew which decision would help me in the game, but still I hesitated with the moral dilema. Therefore, I agree with linkenski -it's about you, not the game. Reflect

I wish you guys could be so passionate and outraged at the way your governments constantly mess with your internet and deceive you! Now that is something to get upset about! A young lad behaves foolishly -with envitable consequences, and he's demonised because you lost a few hours play time. Governments, and big buiness have decided they OWN the internet, and nobody blinks an eyelid. This is indeed a funny world at times.

Okay, depends on your interpretation of 'HACK' Please explain. While DDOS doesn't appear to be a hack,it is quite often used as a distraction technique as part of, and in conjunction with other simultaneous attacks. In that scenario I would call it a hack. Personally, I would say any attack that results in potential financial loss - however that's incurred would be considered a hack by most companies. However, I do respect your opinion and comment only to give another viewpoin...

That's what I intended to do, but I just ordered today from Amazon for £24.00! Probably will cost you more to upgrade via digital from +plus version. For £24.00 I can take that hit if it's crap, but by all accounts it's now a half decent racer. However, I do understand your reluctance.

Couldn't agree more. Governments are putting us all at risk by resisting the common usage of encryption for all. They put the average user at risk of attack just so they can monitor our connections. Tor it for everyone!

I know this is slightly off topic, but one of the reasons we are all personally sufferig so many hacks is because governments resist the introduction of proper encryption techniques for the average Joe! They claims they need to protect us from ourselves by monitoring are connections, but in actuality, they put us at greater risk everyday. On topic. These individuals will get caught, because like all such people with no real skills they will get too cocky and fall straight into a honey pot.......

I'm no expert on this stuff, but how a company's security is set up can make a difference to how their systems cope with DDOS attacks. Here's just a couple of examples of the kind of things that can be done - again,I'm not trying to argue that DDOS can be stopped, but effects can be mitigated. BTW, lets start from the POV that all our personal machines are infected with malware or viruses/worms etc. to some extent- because it's usually true. Anyway, lets say through continue...

Free speech - Not something that comes FREE, it requires responsibility and has consequences.

Contemplate - Who would wish to make such a game and why? Not a judgement, just something to consider before posting lengthy agruments against or in favour.

Contemplate - Who would wish to play such a game? Again, not a judgement just something to ponder.

Isn't the real issue whether or not this is legal or should/shouldn't be? The effectiveness of such a block is really incidental. From my experience the people who tend to run these sites are more than capable of quickly creating alternative methods of access. As for the UK, it's just as easy to access these sites now as it ever was, despite numberous attempts bring them down. There will always be an element of piracy, it inevitable imo. Introducing latency across the whole intern...

Starting from the standpoint of owning both PS4 and now an XBox1, I'm pleased MS are making an effort. As an avid gamer for many years,I jumped at the chance of buying a cheap XB1 bundle, as a gamer, why wouldn't I? Same goes for a Wii U if price is right! MS have removed all of my inital objections to buying a XB1,so yeah, look forward to their exclusives. As for comments regarding MS selling at a loss and desparation,it seems to me there are actually two issues here. Primarirly reputa...
