Ninentendo is, I feel, caught in a trap of their own making. See, Nintendo doesn't really, at it's heart, want games like COD and BF on it's platforms.Yet it feels it has to cater to all markets to maintain it's profile and market share, but that, in my humble opinion,is it's biggest problem. Mario kart has upped sales I believe, simply because it's a true Nintendo game. The kind of game Nintendo wants to make, and the kind of game Nintendo fans want to play. Essentially...

I'm hopeful that parity in this case will mean 1080p and 60fps across all platforms.COD isn't known for detailed textures etc. Pretty graphics sure, but it's not like we need to see every detail in the enviroments as we'll be too busy getting shot at! Cod is,after all, essentially an online FPS with a single player tacked on so, scutiny of the the detail is less important than for other games, don't you think? Anyway, putting my objective hat on for a moment leads me to ass...

In the US possibly, maybe even UK too, as was the case last gen. Like many I refused to buy into the DRM and kinect bulls* MS tried to sell gamers approaching console launch. And I resolutely stuck to my guns, and purchased a PS4 because of it.Playstation is now generally accepted by most gamers to be the more natively powerful of the two consoles and personally, I find the PS4's design far more impressive than X1. However, with the price drop, no mandatory kinect, and let's not forge...

Must admit to not having read the article,so excuse me if my comment is off topic, however, heading suggests contrast between the different methods of connection. Whatever you choose and are happy with, but it may be noting the technical differences for comparison. I believe you will find both powerline adapters and WI-FI use the same method, that is, collision avoidance techniques. While wired Ethernet obviously, uses Ethernet standards. Clearly, from a technical standpoint, wired Ethernet i...

I have always maintained, and have been quite vocal on the state of the video games industry, as I see it. The copyright laws and EULA's are an absolute joke! They are so heavily biased in favour of the copyright holders that I'm surprised we ever manage to play a game without contravening some aspect of the copyright. For me this is just another example of misrepresentation. The first question I ask myself when I see such advertising is ,why? Why aren't they using actual footage...

This is strictly my opinion, but no, no it isn't time to buy Xbox one. It's good that price is coming down, and free games are always good - well, okay, not always! Some of the rubbish that gets given away for free, under the guise of a great service -PS+ and free with gold alike, aren't worth the bandwidth taken to download them, but I digress. Problem is, Kinect is still mandatory so, for me it's not a platform I would consider buying yet. Give me a DRM free, kinect free, adv...

Absolutely, same here. If they can't manage the 1080p 60, then 720p 60 is, I agree, better than 1080p 30. smoothness and frame rate are more important than more pixels certainly once you have a half decent resolution to start with. Still, doesn't bode well for the future if 30fps is to be the standard on AAA titles.

Sorry guys, but some of you appear to be missing the point IMHO. This is not about whether you have anything to hide or not! Damn that is such a clichéd and silly response. And only those with a very selfish attitude would use that as some kind of justification. No,this is really as some of the more intelligent posters have already mentioned, about liberty and the right to privacy. If you are prepared to give up these hard won rights so easily, then next it will be your right to think an...

It all adds up, Studio Liverpool, now studio London. UK mag has exclusive, it's a well known and much loved franchise - certainly by me. WIPEOUT! Yey. Of course, it could be wishful thinking on my part, but I hope I'm right.
I know it's a bit of a niche title, but it's also a bit of a tradition for PlayStation consoles. Here's hoping....

Long shot here, but I think it may be something that's developed and produced in the UK, hence the UK mag outing.
Now what significant series has always been produced in the UK?

George Osborne, damn Tory! So, good luck with that.

Didn't think I would be one to defend KZ since I do think its' an awful game, but for being a launch title, and for it's technical efforts alone - even if not completely successful - it's gotta be worth a 6-6.5. However, I do understand your frustration with this title. Still, I would never say your opinion is Wrong or accuse you of trolling or even remove bubbles and personally insult you, because of what you say. Why?, because I'm an adult, that's why. When everyone o...

Hi GribbleGrunger. The "wrong end of the stick" comment makes the assumption there is a right end of the stick, doesn't it? DRM, as you know is an emotive issue, it's not something I think you should sit on the fence about, don't you agree? However, I will certainly take the challenge and amuse - enjoy!

Yes CERN, that is a valid point, I think. However, it could be argued that some posters - myself included, are more concerned with the actual ideas behind DRM than in specifics, is that not valid also?. For myself, I regard the implementation of any DRM as a direct correlation between greed and mistrust - ie The more a company implements DRM, the less they trust and respect their legitimate users. This isn't an ideal world, and people do pirate material, but companies already allow for th...

Yes, but you can't just make a blanket statement saying "Capitalism and corporatism Aren't good things" - They can be, they just usually aren't. For what it's worth, I agree there is a 'softening' of attitude towards DRM from the general public, but ultimately, if people don't see it as an issue, then it isn't. Of course DRM is purely about profit, as is digital distribution imho. However, the Sony's and MS' of this world have big budgets to c...

Free maps! FREE maps? I'll settle for being able to turn off that god damn awful in game musical score! If that's what they want to call it. C'mon who the hell is that arrogant? No really. Around number eight in my top ten of worst games EVER.

Yeah, so much respect you can't even turn the in game music off!

I'm not an American, just a distant cousin, but I do think you are quite naïve if you think all of these companies are truly independent and competitive. Sure, on the surface they have to appear so, but really they are just giant cartels. They talk to each other constantly -behind closed doors, and agree what they should do. Do you really think any one of these companies would be brave enough to 'go it alone' ? The very reason why you don't often find many companies in th...
