"Yeah funny thing is last time I checked I didn't live in Europe just a part of it when crime rate is insanely lower."
Yes, this is known as "living in Europe".
"And no one to this date has ever killed a class full of children and blamed it on counter strike."
Please, the number of people who get stabbed to death in England in a week alone is five times the number of school shootings that occur in America every *decade...
Technically, No More Heroes has been 'tentatively dated' for 2010.
"Virtual Console is more or less “just there”."
What does that even mean?
"Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, No More Heroes and, if you were feeling kind, Animal Crossing and Wii Fit were the sole exclusives"
No, they weren't.
"Contrast that to the period between November 2006, its launch month, and November 2007. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy, Sonic and the Secret Rings, Metro...
"Funny how stuff like this only happens in the US of A..."
Hey, Europe, how's your violent crime rate? Appallingly high, you say? Much higher than ours in America? Sorry to hear that.
"If Nintendo were to raise prices and supply more systems, they would have a huge increase in sales."
This is why sane people oppose price ceilings.
Alas, welcome to the world we live in, where a lot of people would call that type of thing 'price gouging'.
"But eventually sooner than later, the increase would drizzle out. Sales would eventually thin out and possibly decrease because the demand has gone down because of readily avail...
Although Nintendo used to actually publish NP, it's actually now handled and published by an independent company, Future US. It's only 'their' magazine in name, for the most part anyway.
So... Does anyone speak Japanese? It might be nice to know what they're saying through all of that.
The Professional -- great movie.
"Some of you guys are f***ing retarded, I hope you guys never get to reproduce otherwise we'll just have a dumbed down group of "humans" instead of a progressive human race"
I think Germany had a similar philosophy in the 1930s...
"Wii play, Wii Sports Wii fit and Wii music are games but not real games!"
Why not? Is it not the purpose of videogames to entertain people and encourage social interaction?
"Something the entire world can easily get behind - I'm not denying that - but also something that obviously doesn't need "AAA" next-gen software to be successful."
This from the guy who wrote in another article that Devil May Cry 4, of all games, was a AAA next-gen title.
I like all the qualifiers to that statement though. It's not just SOFTWARE, it's AAA software. And it's not just AAA software, it's NEXT-GEN AAA software.
S...
/\ Technically, Wii Sports Resort too.
That said, I'm not certain what OnslaughtX's joke is getting at. The Wii versions of Mario and Metroid were both great. :|
"We are in a video games crash."
Could this title be more melodramatic? Why not 'We. Are Going. To Die. :('?
And then you could include this gif.

Look, anyone who thinks that this current situation bears any more than a passing similarity to the crash of 83 doesn't know what the term &q...
"The SUN reports:"
Aaaaand that's about where I stopped reading.
":("
My sentiments exactly.
"[They] Gave Wii music an 8 out of 10. Come on, no one should take that magazine nor it's journalism seriously."
B does not follow from A.
Their reviews are largely worthless, but being print media automatically makes their journalism preferable to say, internet sites.
Game corportations are always on the look-out for good developers. I imagine the worthwhile talent will land on their feet.
The real shame about this is that even though they were an otherwise solid company, their freshest work in gamers' minds is going to be a worthless pile of junk.
Devil May Cry 4 for me.
It still boggles my mind how badly they managed to mess that game up.
With the exception of No More Heroes, all of those examples are very easily swept away due to being games in direct competition with superior versions on other current generation systems and/or being terrible, terrible games.
No More Heroes itself doesn't really support the Non-viable argument either, since "viable" does not mean "will sell over a million copies" but means "will make developers money", which No More Heroes kind of did.
"Is that Nintendo is the only games company who can get away with releasing the same games all the time"
Hardly. The Ratchet and Clank series is on its twentieth-iteration and aside from adding and then subsequently removing multi-player, the mechanics haven't significantly been altered.
The Grand Theft Auto core gameplay hasn't changed since GTA 3.
Square's releasing Final Fantasy XIII soon, despite the fact that every single Final Fan...
