How many ways am I supposed to figure out to try to explain that your OPINION that this information isn't useful doesn't make it so for everyone and just because information is somewhere else on the web doesn't mean it can't be here too.

I am just going to ignore you now so when I check tomorrow's Steam Sale news post to find out the deals and discuss what is there I don't have to waste my time reading stuff like this again.

Stop cons...

So because you personally think this gaming news site shouldn't be used to post news about sales or discuss game recommendations, and the Steam forum has a thread discussing similar things this is spam and can't be useful for anyone?

If it was in any way an article about indie developers then maybe they would write about their or interview indie devs about it. You seem to be looking/wishing for something completely unrelated to what it even says it provides and gettin...

Just look up the expenses of some of the Senators and Congressmen if you want to see wasteful spending.

Maybe you don't burgerman but some people might like a reminder, or just check here since steam is bombarded and has connection problems when the sale first hits. Even to have a place for people to recommend games on sale it makes sense.

Feel free not to click the stories if you don't want to read them or don't need them though, there is always that option, rather than whining about them not being productive or useful.

What % of stories on N4G ar...

Just shitty all the way around. Screwing over hard working and charitable game devs, the group that does the work and puts together the bundles, Valve's holiday promotion (and their legitimate customers), AND A CHILDREN'S CHARITY AT CHRISTMAS-TIME.

What could be lower than that?

Being a scumbag and paying $.01 as a "charitable donation" for 12 quality games and soundtracks is bad enough in the first place but then doing it multiple times to ...

I forgot Terraria. That is another great indie game and it just got a monster content patch. For $5 it is a steal

Not really new but Dungeon Defenders is great (even at $15, it is currently $7.50, but will probably be less before the sale ends). Space Pirates and Zombies ate up a bunch of my time and is on sale.

As was said above go get the Humble Bundle. Right now you can get 12 full games and their soundtracks for well under $10. Shank alone is in that pack and it would have cost your $15 by itself earlier this year. Plus, it is partly for charity and that is always a good thing, espe...

I grabbed it too, I skipped it at the same price in the Summer Camp sale and wished I hadn't. Now I fixed that.

Dungeon Defenders is one of my favorite games of the year, regardless of price. For $7.50 it is a really good deal but I am sure they will have it as a daily in this sale at some point and it will be up for $3.74.

So far I have about 60 hours into it, haven't done any challenges yet, any survival, and haven't finished playing the game non hard (finished medium, still have insanity to go too). It is a ton of content for the cost, and it plays like the genetically modi...

I agree, <$2 for the game and expansion is a no brainer. If you even remotely have any interest in Roguelike games you should get it. It costs about the same as a cup of coffee (not good coffee either) for God's sake, just do it.

You could have saved the Valve coupon, the original Portal gets put up for free from time to time. Still a crazy deal, they had both Portal games for <$9 the first day, which is ludicrous.

I grab some games for $15 if I am looking for something to play. I don't regret spending that on Dungeon Defenders or Space Pirates and Zombies on Steam at all, even though both have been on sale for <$4 since. For some reason I just felt like waiting out the sale on this one and really wanted to play it on 360.

I fully expect this will only be the first of many deal purchases between the crazy Steam Christmas sale and whatever comes up the next 11 days on Live.

I have been waiting for an XBL sale on Bastion, it has been on sale on Steam a ton already but this is one game I really wanted to play on console. I got to play it a bit at PAX East last year and really liked it. It is a wonder I held off this long to buy it, I guess it is because I have had so many other gaming options.

I was in the beta for the program and wasn't that impressed, most of the free to play games are really old or family/casual. The most recent major games were Saints Row 2, Assassin's Creed, and older Red Faction games.

I recently dropped gamefly after 3 years since I finally am caught up on my console backlog and unless they significantly improve the unlimited play PC offerings it wouldn't matter to me as a reason to re-join.

Steam, with its insan...

Every time I go to one of their articles and see that they again failed to put everything in a better format I just close the window. How hitstarved is your site and hungry for ad money are you that you have to break articles into 25 pages?

I can see Fox News drooling over this one now. They can have their next game to feign indignation at it. Maybe they can blow it out of proportion like they did Mass Effect's "alien porn".

I really have high hopes for this game, sometimes a game like this can provide a breath of fresh air and some outside thinking from what we normally see with the rinse/reuse game development nowadays.

Dungeons or Dredmor is a great use of $5. If you grew up on Amiga Roguelike games like me it is just amazing. Even if you didn't it is still worth a shot, it is hands down the best Roguelike on the market right now.

I will definitely end up buying both. I really wish Torchlight was coming out this month and wasn't pushed back. It would have given me time to play it without having to decide between the two.

They really should have put in the pricepoint difference as well. Diablo 3 is definitely going to be $60 and Torchlight is supposed to be $20.

Thinking of all these great old RPGs is making me want to go back and replay them all again. Amazon has a box out that gives you Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 with all expansions, Icewind Dale 1 and 2 with all expansions, Planescape: Torment, and Temple of Elemental evil, all in one box for $20.

I think I am going to have to re-buy them for whenever I get done my playthroughs of Skyrim.
