I got one last night, it was hidden away in my spam folder so if you are looking for one be sure to check there. 4 of my other friends got them last night as well, and 2 of them found theirs in their spam filter as well.

No other intellectual property allows additional costs in the secondary market.
Not music media, for publishers or artists.
Not movie media, for publishers, studios, or creators.
Not books, for publishers or artists.
Not art, for painters.
Not sculpture.
Nothing.
Video games should not either. An online pass to "justify server costs" is one thing (even though that should really be fi...
Mika, do yourself a favor and research Free Trade Doctrine and consumer rights a bit. Online pass is a violation of consumer rights to resell a product they own by infringing on the value of the product.
Ford isn't allowed to sell you a car but only unlock the brakes if you activate them separately. They also aren't allowed to then make the person you sell the car to later pay the fee to activate the brakes again. That is basically what online passes to games do.
Sometimes EA can't help but get in its own way. I still can't understand why an ONLINE pass would have anything to do with single player content? They did the same thing with Mass Effect 2 and the Dragon Age games so it is to be expected but when you are trying to establish a new IP I would give up the pennypinching for the first game in favor of not pissing people off and letting it get going on the right foot.
Killer Instinct Gold
Yeah, I will still be getting both for sure. I am just to the point where I am impatient for both games rather than excited about them now. Add in the fact that Torchlight 2 is still without a release date after it was "guaranteed to launch in Dec 2011" and the 3 games I have been looking forward to most for the past year(s) are all still in release date limbo at this point.
I played the GW2 demo last year at PAX East and it looked great then, and I will be playing it again a year later at PAX East again it seems.
I wish this would just come out already. The "later this year" in the blog makes me think fall release, even though they are doing their betas in March/April. The sooner the better for this one, I am sick of waiting for it. Between this and D3 with their "when it is ready" production style and showing the game 2-3 ye...
Probably because you can earn the points by using Bing as your earch engine on your PC then use those points towards getting points on your XBL account, completely ignoring it on the Dashboard altogether.
Basically, you can get 13 Bing Rewards points a day pretty quickly just doing some random searches. That means if you did it every day you would get 100 XBL points about every 10 days. If you were doing it pretty religiously you could get 3500-4000 XBL points a year for free...
I totally agree, Red5 has been at the forefront in that regard. They are blacking out their beta and website on the 18th and are even boycotting E3 because of the ESA's support of SOPA/PIPA. It makes me want to check out Firefall even more just to support them.
I was really disappointed when the VGVN refused to do/say anything against the legislation because it was under the ESA ownership and they were supporting it. It showed it wasn't a true place for gamers to get ...
you may want to check this out too, the White House came out strongly against SOPA and PIPA over this past weekend.

I don't think it is likely that either of these has a shot at going through anymore.
I am looking forward to Torchlight 2 as well, at least they TRIED to pick a release window, they just delayed off of it. I prefer that to nothing at all. Torchlight 2 and Firefall both missed their initial December windows, and those were supposed to be my "Get me to Diablo 3 or Mass Effect 3" games.
Between Diablo 3 and Guild Wars 2 still both having no release date after they have been showing the games for a year or more each I am quite sick of the "when its ready" method of game promotion.
Stop showing games so early if you have no intention of pegging at least a season window of release. If you are in advanced beta testing you know a window, announce it and stop stringing your fans along.
FastReturn has always been a part of Gamefly, it isn't a new feature at all. It is triggered by your game scanning through a machine at the post office but if your game never goes through an office that has a scanner to mark it your FastReturn will never activate. In 3 years of gamefly I have had less than 5 instances of FastReturn and I have played as many as 54 games in a single year through them and about 140 overall.
I actually called them to see what it was early on...
The meatgrinder level design was rough as was the unplayable state of the online and complete lack of lobbies on console, those were the two major things that really hurt the game for me. I was all over this game for more than a year before release, I really liked it at PAX East in the play time I got then I was really let down by the full game. I am still not convinced they didn't purposely and significantly dumb down the AI between March and the game's release because it seemed way ...
I am holding out until the last day on 50% off on that one in hopes that it will get put in the specials for 1 day and I will get it even cheaper. That is what ended up happening for me with DoW2. For me, Civ V and the Dungeon Defenders Eternia Shards DLC 4 pack will get picked up by the end of the sale, hopefully at more than 50% off each.
Terraria can give 100 hours of goodness, if not more, I would consider it must buy for the <$3 price.
I just nabbed DoW2 Gold for $10, which is just crazy, and then sent out a couple KOTOR gifts to people who had that on their wishlist at $5 total cost.
You should have went GOTY edition for the extra $2.50. There is a ton of extra content in it.
Either way it is a really good game.
8 coal and 2 coupons so far for me.
Yeah, because justifying or excusing shitty behavior by saying it is ok because there are worse things you could do makes sense... "I stole from kids but at least I didn't murder anyone, so it is fine." One thing has nothing to do with the other.
Wanting cheap games and paying a penny for 12 for something that is supposed to be a charitable endeavor is a completely different thing. You might as well just go torrent them and not even steal the bandwidth from the ...
Me either. KI, Street Fighter 2 CE, and Tekken 3 are probably my most played console fighting games ever. I loved KI in the arcades (MK3 as well) and the console version managed to be just as good. With MS running Rare and how far Rare has fallen now I basically have given up hope for seeing another KI game. At the very least they should do a PSN/XBL HD remake of KI Gold, but they probably never will.
