If you don't want to pay for it on 360, don't buy it and vote with your wallet. It isn't that hard, they aren't forcing you to buy it or requiring it to play the game.

I much prefer gaming on my couch playing on the 360 on my TV now, rather than spending even more hours in front of the computer than I am already required to do every day. Add in the fact that I have a solid bunch of people to play with from my XBL list already and it makes it even easier to play on console.

Repeatable "survival/horde mode" type arenas would be pretty awesome for this game. I will be grabbing this as soon as it is available for sure. The stash/chest it is supposed to have in it will also be a welcome addition so I can hold onto guns to pass to other people rather than selling them when I am far beyond the 9,999,999 display limit on cash anyway.

Apparently Take 2 started 2k and 2k sports as separate publishing companies, upon further research. You learn something new every day.

Yeah, it was kind of a non-ending. I would buy a sequel 100%. I already picked up the first DLC for the original and will continue to do so.

Side note: it is a pretty big mistake to list Take Two as the distributor and company they talked to when it is a 2K game. Someone fell asleep at the editor's desk.

Story or not if a game has good co-op and a bunch of loot I have a hard time putting it down. I am surprised at the reviews myself. I thought this might get the niche title treatment but it is getting 80 or better everywhere.

Gearbox has said a few times in previews that Fallout and Borderlands both approach the mix of RPG and FPS from different angles.

Fallout is an RPG with shooter elements and Borderlands is a FPS with role playing elements. Even though they are straddling the same fence they do it in completely different ways.

I really enjoyed Fallout 3 and I am sure I will like Borderlands but that doesn't mean one is better than the other. It is apples and oranges. It is like say...

Sure, it is a decent read but saying "I have not played the game" in the first paragraph and telling a bunch of other games to change to be like it seems a bit off to me.

I am counting the hours until I have this game finally and fully expect it to take over my entire gaming schedule but that is a bit too much for even me. At least play the game before you try to make it into the model for the future of the video game industry.

There will be a ton of reviews tomorrow. There is supposed to be an internet review embargo up until tomorrow morning. If you go over to gearbox's community forum there is some info on other reviews though.

I am stoked, gamestop called me this morning to say they are doing a midnight release for this game now at my local store. Normally they only do it for huge games like COD, WoW expansions etc. Hopefully that means the game is selling well. Can't wait.

biased much? Sounds like you belong over in the open/"fanboy" zone. I am not going to detract from Uncharted at all, but Killzone was hardly a spectacular game outside of its graphics. If graphics are all that matter keep sticking to games like that or just go to a museum and look at the art. I would rather play the best games that come out regardless of system.

Reviews will all hit Monday morning. There is a review embargo up until then. Giantbomb, Destructiod, and IGN all have articles mentioning "I am only allowed to talk about this section" and IGN said at the end of their last article to expect more info on Monday when they can put out their review.

I expect a slew of reviews early Monday. My guess would be scores ranging 7s to 9s as this probably isn't a game that everyone will like as even though it is a FPS you will ...

If you can only afford one game a month then only play one game a month. It is called living within your means. It sucks, but that is how it works.

People aren't entitled to just steal everything that they can't afford but still want. If you want to spend less money and play more different games every month maybe you should look into Gamefly or something.

I am glad to see it. When devs make good games they deserve to get the money for people playing them. They should be banning the console rather than the accounts playing the game. If people are playing a pirated copy then the box has been flashed. At least MS is doing something though.

I can't wait to have my PAID FOR copy of Borderlands on Tuesday.

There was mention of the bans for Forza already but this is the first time Borderlands has been mentioned.

Good. If you can't afford the game at retail then don't play it. Stealing copies that developers put hard work into deserves some kind of action. It is good to see MS do something about it.

On their official forums they said putting the 21st in the videos was a decision by the marketing people just to cover their bets. It should be in stores the 20th though. Many stores have already taken in the shipment of the disks and some have already broken street on them, I fully expect my copy to be at Gamestop on the 20th first thing in the morning.

Not having an iso view is. I played all the BG and NWN games and expansions in a zoomed out iso view and I was really looking forward to a similar experience on the 360. Now that I know it is an over the shoulder style only on consoles I will probably be canceling my preorder. The hard fights in these games are really hectic to try to keep an eye on the whole party and all the enemies if I have to play in a Red Faction/Tomb Raider style view.

It would have been a much better marketing decision to let the game hit and sell a bit then announce it when another big FPS is about to hit this fall to see if you can maintain some attention.

Besides that you get the benefit of the doubt and avoid the negative assumptions of "cash grab", "should have been on the disk" and "why not free?".

It definitely won't get glowing reviews across the board but I expect them to be mostly positive. It is still a niche title though, most games that mix genres are picked apart too. I am still getting this one day one regardless of reviews. Loot games are something I just can't skip.
