Good, I certainly won't miss players with your attitude that skip buying this title while I am playing it online. If it eliminates the "I am a hardcore gamer and everyone else doesn't deserve to play" elitists and snobs while growing the community of people who play the game then it works doubly well. God forbid a game tries to make it enjoyable and accessible to people who wouldn't normally take to it or lower the learning curve to get into multiplayer at the base level...
They need to set a firm release date for this game so I can start counting down to release day.

It is definitely a lot of fun and the matches go quicker than full "regular versus" matches due to the advantage that the infected team has. They didn't activate Realism Versus full time yet but they did say in their blog they will be announcing when it will be placed into the full time modes.
no official release date set yet. "Shooting for Fall 2010" is the closest thing to that so far. I am drooling for this game already. Hopefully this stockpile of May games will last me a while to keep my mind off it.

servers down once for two hours since release. Live wasn't down, just Valve's matchmaking server. You could still local host a multiplayer game and play with friends, which I did. Or I could just play another game for a night.

after sitting in a lobby with a few friends for like 15 minutes around 9pm EST last night and wondering what was going on we finally guessed this was the issue. Apparently they started up in a couple hours. I was hoping to get a last couple rounds in before the DLC today but I'll survive.

then vote with your wallet, it is your right as a consumer. Don't feed them money and use other alternatives to get your games. Yes, it may take some personal effort but "taking a stand" no matter how small normally does.
I personally stopped using Gamestop back when I read the article below, about them taking 2,000+ used games (disks only) from one person in like a 6 month period. The person happened to be a post office worker who was stealing tons of Gamefly games....
They are on XBL and gametrailers as well. The SMART movement and Container City ones are gameplay.
I think it is more like if the kid from those two that you mentioned, and the kid of Team Fortress and Unreal got together and had a kid that would be Brink.
I am really interested in the SMART system. It looks phenomenal, it will ad a whole new level to the twitch ability of games to have parkour style movement as you attack or escape.
There isn't much on my radar between now and this game's release so I will be counting down as it gets closer I am sure.
RF:G was really overlooked last year by a lot of people even though it reviewed very well. It had an extremely varied and fun multiplyaer that was very under-rated as an aspect to the game. I wish people were still playing like they were last year. The campaign was good, even if you only like the destruction aspect, it was worth the playthrough. They didn't even announce how many DLC packs they were going to have before release so saying you never bought it because of that sounds a bit off as a reason for skipping it initially.

there is a bank in the Moxxi DLC that you can expand to up to 42 slots. It doesn't display them on a wall or anything but it is a nice thing especially with all the gear at the end of Knoxx.
I picked it up already. It is definitely good, a solid expansion on the current game. There is some serious difficulty at times too. I spent 50 million dollars (out of the 100 or so I started with) on my soldier just in death tax yesterday.
nothing too drastic. outside of the two things you mentioned they are pretty much the same. The arcade has an onboard memory card. The elite has a headset that I don't know if the arcade has.

This sale was in the sale flier I got as well but Toys R Us doesn't have it listed on their site because it is an in store only sale. There is another limitation besides signing up for the rewards. It only runs Tuesday from 10am-2pm and you can only buy one per person.
