I dunno what you might think, but I'm relatively sure I played both COD4 and Bioshock (mediocre IMO) without owning a 360. And some day, I'll play Mass Effect... when the better version comes out on PC. And I'll torrent it...

For digital distribution to be a viable solution, a majority of the population NOT JUST IN ONE OR TWO COUNTRIES needs access to a high-speed internet connection. That's not going to happen for a long time.

Actually, PS3 comes in second place, second only to a scaling chip that by itself can cost over $1000, plus whatever inflated electronic you buy that actually happens to have said chip in it. The PS3 is one of the best DVD upscalers you can find, and, for me anyway, the price/image quality difference ratio definitely puts the PS3 above the expensive chip in my book.

I don't know why, and everyone tells me I'm crazy, but I work best in Blender for some reason. I know there are some features lacking, but my pipeline at this point includes Blender, Photoshop CS3, ZBrush 3.1. I haven't really run into any problems so far, but I'm really trying to learn Maya 2008 at this point.

Thank you. That is the reason I will not buy a 360 right now. I have a $3500 PC that I built myself to play anything that I am even a little interested in on the PC. I have Bioshock, I have Gears, and you know what, I didn't pay for either, because I'll be damned if MS ever gets my money for anything ever again. Not after Vista. That was the last straw, along with the 360 failure rate. My roommate is on 360 #4.
If you knew anything about MGS, you'd know that there are no FMV's and that everything is in-engine...
My personal GOTY. Still need to play Galaxy and Mass Effect to compare. Completely blows away any other game I tried this year. 3rd playthrough FTW!
Actually, HS had my favorite use of Sixaxis yet (steering arrows). Also, Bioshock was the only game this year I couldn't bring myself to complete, because it was another FPS. CoD4 was a much better FPS game than Bioshock was.
