The blue LED (the problematic one) can now have a lifetime of 50-80k hours. That's more than enough of a lifetime for me. Even at 35k, thats like 8 hours every day for a decade.
The numbers are all theoretical BTW, they obviously can't actually test each LED for 50k hours+.
I'm surprised there was no mention of the RROD. I can't believe that the average person hasn't at least heard about the problem, it was in Consumer Report.
It may be a cheap BluRay player, but it's still one of the best there is.
The won't make an OS unless it's a flavor of Linux. Just use Ubuntu or Red Hat, you'll be much happier than you ever were with Windows.
Well Jesus, what do you want them to say?
"Well, the game certainly lacks magic. No one here is really feeling it, you know? None of us really want to play it on breaks, except for Joe, but he hasn't really been right in the head since 'the accident'. I mean, it'll sell, it has Halo in the title, but I wouldn't buy it..."
It's the developer, you can't trust them just like you can't trust someone praising their own kid.
Of course they're ...
FF is a REALLY bad example for you argument considering that each new number has completely different characters, stories, and universes.
Yeah, admittedly 7 has been done to death. 6 was better... *runs for cover*
That's really sad.
Up next,
Halo: Birdwatching Evolved
Halopoly
Halo Dating Sim
and let's not forget,
Clue, Halo Edition
Man 1: "It was Cortana in the Library with the plasma 'nades!"
Man 2: "That doesn't even make sense!"
Kids... don't buy games just because of shameless branding tactics disguised as innovative ideas...
Als...
I can almost assure you that, at this point, SEDs will probably never be available for the consumer market, and that if they are it will be long after OLED hits it's stride.
I thought it was the blue causing problems in that it was limited to a 50k life for a long time.
Right, because we all know that MS game division has been SOOOO profitable...
WHY do people continue to cite VGChartz as a useful source. That's like saying "My buddy who knows a lot about stuff said such and such..."
That's because MS supporters will buy anything That will net them useless gamer points. I remember to of my friends clamoring for the Ninja Turtles game because it was the easiest 1000 achievement points you could get. It makes me sick to think that this is what the gaming industry has reduced itself to, when a crappy game like TMNT outsells a pretty good game like motorstorm because it has easy access to useless points.
EDIT: @below, I never said it wasn't a genius marketing ...
"Ha ha, I have the advantage of not having to worry if my 360 will die in the middle of Team Deathmatch! Advantage goes to me!"
If I'm the only one who sees so many things wrong with that statement, then I wish faulty electronics upon you all...
I have no problem admitting that I will buy a 360 as soon as all of the kinks are worked out that can't just be fixed by a firmware update, and so far I've been disappointed with the steps MS is taking to remedy said problems. When failure rates drop to <2% I will pick one up. Until then I cannot justify spending money on the console when I can get 90% of the games I want to play on it on either the PS3 or the PC.
This isn't about whether or not they'll repair it, obviously this will void your warranty. This is about banning people from a service they are paying hard-earned money for because they want their console to not crap out on them.
EDIT: How could you possibly disagree with my statement? This article IS about banning from XBL, and not about whether or not MS will repair your modded console. Seriously, the trolls are getting really bad here.
What're they stealing, exactly? Seriously, they're only fixing a mistake that MS never should have let out of the labs in the first place. No need to ban them from XBL.
I ran a cracked XP for almost 5 years and never had a problem.
HL2 water looks like @ss. In one of the levels you can look out over a cliff into the ocean, and clearly see that its just hundreds of morphing square textures with env-maps running into each other. It really killed the feel of the game for me when I saw that. Maybe the new versions are better, but that's how it was in HL2 for the PC at top specs.
Already done. Ubuntu and Firefox FTW!
This and Linux are two amazing features. Running YDL 5.0.2 Is awesome through my PS3. I can even play old SNES, Genesis, and Gameboy games on my PS3 via emulators.
