It was called Lost Vikings... just so you know for future reference.

My PS3 has been running for nearly 4 months straight now without a break. When I get a chance and some free time, I play Sigma, Resistance, Motorstorm, and watch Blu-Rays. When I'm not doing that, it's folding. I've been doing that for just little over 4 months, and it has yet to even hiccup. I've never been able to do that before, with ANY system, and that goes back to the NES. I remember once I went on vacation and in the rush out the door I left my SNES on (I was like 5 years old). I came ...

Hmm... well then, they must not own any games either, considering they're all on Blu-Ray discs. lol. Obviously these numbers are skewed depending on who they polled. If they polled the parents in line to get it for their kids, obviously the results would be different than if they interviewed the kids.

I know what I'm most worried about is MS pulling what they did with the original xbox and releasing a new system fairly soon, while at the same time cutting off all support for the 360. I had an original xbox, and I was outraged when they announced that there would be no new games and no more support.

@ 13.5...

I'm sorry, but your post just has ignorant fanboy written all over it. I'm a Sony supporter, but even I know Bioshock is a great looking game when I see it. I will buy it for PC when it comes out. One day, I will buy a 360 when they have moved to 65nm chips. I may be a Sony supporter, but that doesn't make me a blind fanboy.

It will never be as good as WOLF3D. No one ever needs a world with non-90 degree corners. And the voice acting was incredible for the time. lol. Seriously, my uncle got a Sound Blaster sound card for Wolf, and the first time I heard "Mein Leben!" from one of the bosses I was like "Jesus Christ! They can talk in games now?!?". Those were the days. sigh... I miss the simplicity, when the whole back story was in the instruction booklet because they couldn't put it into the ga...

Vizio makes a great TV for the price. I got the 32" LCD a year ago and it's been great to me. Is it the nicest HDTV out there? No, but at the time I bought it is was $750, and the Sony and Sharp were NOT $1000+ better.

XGamer... you have a profound misunderstanding of the way these things work. The disc medium has absolutely nothing to do with the abillity of the console to process physics or graphics. It can store more graphical information, but think about what you've said. If you somehow gerry-rigged a Blu-Ray drive to an SNES, do you think it would allow for improved graphics or physics? No... it wouldn't. The fact is, the system is only as powerful as it's GPU and CPU, the disc format is all about how ...

I don't ever call people out, but you're a moron. You're in here purposely flame baiting. Give credit where it's due. Lair has incredible water effects on a massive scale, this has incredible water effects in a much more confined area (NOT THAT THAT'S BAD). They are two different kinds of games, and if you can't be mature enough to not verbally hump Microsoft's leg every time a PS3 game is even mentioned, then you're not ever going to be a helpful contributor to this site.

Don't be an idiot, we both know they both have 512 memory. PS3's just happens to be separated into 256 GDDR3@ 700MHZ and 256 XDR@ 3.2GHz.

Yep, like that. They really shouldn't ba able to do that. My PS2 broke... but they just fixed it and sent it back, the same exact box, so I know mine wasn't counted twice.

It is in medieval times, and he is an assassin, but its been said that they are using one of his descendents in modern times and going through his DNA to see memories of Altair.

No, it's just what I've read and heard, surely someone can back me up on this. If not, just search for it, it should be fairly easy to look up. Basically, the gist of what has been tossed around is that at the end of the demo shown at X'06 when the player died, the screen gets all fuzzy and talks about a malfunction in DNA memory access. That, and some girl involved with the game let it slip a few months ago that the game deals with DNA memory work being worked on in real life today. I'm not ...

HOw many of the 10 million are the replacements? Surely they can include the systems they've shipped out to replace broken ones in their sales figures.

The game is rumored to actually take place in the future and involve memories. Perhaps the blue overcast is a result of digging into the DNA memory, or maybe the entire game is being watched on a computer screen by someone in the future?

I was really excited to see what they could do as far as city size went with Blu-Ray... now it'll be limited by DVD. That's not to say I'm not pumped about this game, I've been watching it since it was Project Assassin. About the date though... the only source is Amazon.com. Wait for an announcement from Ubisoft before you go puting a date on it. September? Maybe. September 25? Only according to Amazon...

You ask for "proof" that the XDR RAM is faster than anything in your PC or XBox (which I RESPECT by the way, I'm not blind), just look at the clock speed. 3.2 GHz compares to the standard 700MHz of VRAM. The higher clock speed allows for more operations per cycle. And I think I'll just throw it out there, the AI in Heavenly Sword doesn't even access the system RAM at all... it's all done with the memory allocated to one SPU of the Cell... so if you wanna talk semantics, add all of t...

people say the PS3 only has 256MB RAM. It's got the full 512... seriously, look it up. 256 of GDDR3 and 256 of XDR, which is much much faster than anything you have in your PC or 360. As for XP running on the PS3... sure, but not very well. I had it run on mine through an emu in Ubuntu. It was sh!t. Until we see a working Octoplier, normal x86 code will run like crap on the Cell.

NOT specifically FF. While a VII remake would be accepted by me with no problem, I'd like a Secret of Mana remake. It would translate so well into 3D. Chrono Trigger would rock too (none of this Chrono Cross crap, I need my original characters). The future is looking bright. FF XIII + confirmed remakes of any kind = awesome to the max!

Seriously, this (well, assets of it in EDGE) was shown in real time to a room full of people with camera and opinions and everyone was blown away. And that was done in a couple of weeks with just two programmers and one artist. Imagine what a team could pull out. People who say it "can't" be done = FUD
