Digital distribution is a long way off. I'm sorry, but MOST COUNTRIES do not have a large population with high-speed internet, let alone high-speed that would make 9-50 GB downloads feasible. Physical media will be around for a few years yet.
Also, I know is kind of flame worthy, but I laughed really hard when I imagined a 360 with a VCR hooked up via USB, and having to change tapes to load your save files. Good ol' 80's tech.
"XBOX 720, presented in GENUIN...
If we can agree that you make some intelligent comments, you have to concede that gamerankings and Metacritic aren't the be-all end-all of what makes a game good. Also, KZ2 and Gears are two completely different types of games, and trying to compare them is like giving flamethrowers to fanboys. You know better than that. Both with have their place in the gaming spectrum.
What a dumb argument. That's like saying Insomniac's games are rushed because they worked on Resistance and R&C at the same time, and then most likely R&C and R:2.
When people say "shooter" they are referring to games that only revolve around shooting. Case-in-point, Resistance is a shooter. All you do is run and shoot things. Uncharted is in the Platformer/Adventure genre, as you have gun fights broken up by puzzle solving and platforming elements. Racthet & Clank is in the same barrel, with a lot more platforming. Calling either one of them a shooter is pretty blind. Also, I think we can ALL agree that this gen has been a bit of a shoote...
@ wageslave, go check out the specs for the UE3 engine, and you will clearly see the faults of it's online architecture system, as well as glaring problems with it's lighting and rendering engine. And before you say I have no right to be saying anything, I'm a game design student and have worked directly hands-on with UE3, and the most a team of us could pump out over a p2p with decent looking graphics (40k-70k poly models w/ 1024x1024 spec, norm, texture, and disp maps, and a level with roug...
"Welcome, to the world of tomorrow!"
Add more sidequests!
I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that we're looking at a dual-layer Blu-Ray for this one?
If you look at the scan with the giant machine, it clearly says "Everything in the screen here is all real-time IN GAME geometry"
That's like saying "Well, Joe can run faster than Billy, but for the sake of the competition, we'll have Joe running alongside Billy so that he doesn't feel bad..."
Seriously, if the PS3 HAS the capability to pump out a nicer picture, why not use it? It's comparing the best the 360 has to the sup-par of PS3 settings.
BTW, Full RGB makes a HUGE difference on my TV.
Come on FF6 and Secret of Mana. And none of this "3D" crap, just give me 1080p HD sprites a la Street Fighter wth some new sidequests, and I'll be a very happy camper.
Also, maybe release Seiken Densetsu 3 for the first time in english?
Calling Blizzard the best devs in the world is a lofty statement. They have one game right now, WoW. I respected them a lot more when they were doing Diablo 2... at least battle.net was free...
Sorry BWS... I think you may be wrong...
Nah, GG and Insomniac work VERY closely with each other. I'd imagine something similar from Killzone 2, obviously not 8 player co-op, but huge multiplayer.
actually, if you care to pull your head out of your @ss for 5 minutes, you could see that an Insomniac dev has confirmed all of this...
Of course no one bought them you cun+, they don't exist yet... dipsh!t
I'd expect a response... but you only have one bubble...
How exactly does one "bet tits". Sounds shady...
I've been saying this since they first announced achievements. All they do is turn gaming into a 'bigger d!ck' contest, and any idiot who wants the most point will buy any crappy game that makes it easy to get them (e.g. TMNT). Now, if you could spend them on things in the marketplace, that would be completely different, but until then they're just meaningless points. I don't need to be told when I accomplish something in a game. I like that in some games you actually unlock some content alon...
You would have to be an IDIOT to believe that 7 million people could be playing any single game at one time. Come on people, use your common sense...
@above
lol, that's one of my favorite episodes.
