The average score is 80. I think that's fair enough. There's plenty of room for improvement in a sequel. The occasional loading also didn't affect reviews score that much. It's mentioned in one sentence in the IGN review, for example, where it wasn't seen as a big deal.
The post that was screenshotted had thousands of upvotes, man. Most people wouldn't leave posts like this like (it's obviously a minority, not the majority) but I suppose it would be stressful to be getting messages like that addressed to your personal account. They weren't just sent to the director either.
Lad, Cyberpunk was not released early because of pressure from gamers. The developers themselves thought that all of the planned release dates were insane. It was released prematurely because of pressure placed on the developers from the higher ups. It had nothing to do with social media posts, it was about money (cashing in on the last big year of last gen consoles).
People who are getting angry about this delay are morons though.

"So what if Sony changed its mind?"
"can't deal with changing circumstances and take personal offence when they adapt"
lol. You actually think Sony was telling the truth a year ago but then "changed its mind", and created PS4 ports of GOW2 and GT7.
This is honestly one of the dumbest comments I've ever read. That's not how it works. I love that a theory that preposterous came fr...
@eonjay
Not outraged. It's just disappointing that they lied. You're taking my criticism of Sony too personally along with the OP ("STFU").
You weren't actually able to highlight anything I said as being untrue either so let's not talk about grasping at straws.
I own a PS5 and I'll be buying a Rift Apart next week. I'm just not willing to be a fanboy/cheerleader though. I criticized Sony a lot for atte...
They lied about GT7 only being on PS5. They intentionally didn't say whether GOW2 was coming to PS4 to help bolster the "We believe in generations" lie. Childishly telling people people to "STFU" isn't going to change any of that.
It's not the end of the world (obviously) but people have the right to be disappointed because Jim Ryan told a huge lie which drove a lot of hype at the time. These games would be better if they ditched the PS4.
Quote me where I said that this didn't start development as a PS4 game. I never said that whatsoever, so what's the point of your comment? Use your head a bit, lad.
If Guerilla transferred development fully to PS5 they could have removed certain limitations caused by the PS4's CPU (weak even when it released, while the PS5's CPU is strong). For example, we could have had wider environments (less need to add geometry to aggressively cull out scenery), more de...
60fps Performance Mode confirmed so no need to worry about that anymore. This is fundamentally a PS4 game though which is very disappointing. There doesn't appear to be any design differences between versions. Probably the same for GOW2 and then we'll have to wait 4 years for these studios' next games.
We could have wider environments, more enemies on screen, bigger bosses, etc but the PS4 is holding these games back. Rift Apart and Returnal are the only Sony ga...
I think it's fair to say that the current team is a bit inexperienced as they were a MUCH smaller, different studio before Days Gone. That's not something that can be said about most of Sony's studios who've been making AAA console games for a long time.
They have the right to do this but it's a fairly bitter play. They should just release it on PS5 and release further games exclusively. This would be like if Sony intentionally gimped the Series X version of MLB The Show.
Jesus, man. That's some spin you have there. Cross gen games cannot make the most of next gen features.
For example, GOW2 will have walls that Kratos needs to climb through because the PS4 doesn't have an SSD.
Jim Ryan was clearly being deceptive. Look at the context - his comment was a response to MS promoting the benefits of cross gen games when Sony were secretly doing the same thing for some of their biggest games. They intentionally didn'...
What's amazing is that this game's recent trailer had politics in it (e.g. the reasons people become guerilla fighters) and nobody cared. But now people will suddenly get offended and cause a fuss when they've already seen this stuff. If you weren't offended last week, no need to get offended this week, lads.
Your comment is nonsense. They're projecting well over 20m PS5s for the first fiscal year, and the PS5 is the fastest selling PlayStation.
The real reason for this port is that Sony want the PS4 to have a long sales tail - there was a story about this the other day.
There's no shortage of people who want a PS5 but I think there's some truth to the OP's comment when it comes to cross gen games. R&C:Rift Apart looks much more noticeably next gen because it's not a cross gen game and focuses solely on the PS5. Demon's Souls also has noticeably better graphics than MM.
I've actually bought Miles Morales and Returnal this week but can't play them quite yet because I've been hospitalized (eye issue) ... so...
"Looking at the numbers it seems backwards compatibility has zero influence ..."
lol. You best look closer at those numbers. TLOU2 is at no.3 and is beating new games like RE8. That's your argument dead but I'll go into more detail.
Why is TLOU2 at no.3 a year after release and beating RE8? Because the PS5 is backwards compatible and has allowed an amazing update to 60fps.
If the PS5 wasn't backwards compatible, it...
@cd1
That's fine, mate - not everyone has to like the game or anything. I'm just pointing out an obvious trend. I said "often" because I'm not talking about everyone who happens to like Days Gone. It's a specific but sizable portion of that fanbase who are behaving like that, and it's been going on for years.
Yep. Days Gone fans in particular often have such an agenda against this game because they know it made DG seem dated (and crucially ... affected its reviews), and they probably make up a lot of your disagrees.
"We all know that DG got bad reviews because Deacon is white ... Red Dead Redemption 2 also has a white protagonist? So what? What's your point!?!? No, it's not good. It's a boring, awful game! la la la. We all know the truth. la la la"
Unfortunately, Craig suffered blunt force trauma to the head and was left dead near the bottom of an elevator. Thoughts and prayers for Craig (forever gone ... but never forgotten), and death to the UNSC
@knightedHollow
Wasn't Halo 3 was supposed to be his last outing? "Finish the fight." ODST and Reach showed that Halo works well with and without Master Chief. 343i are just incompetent.
There's nothing wrong with not wanting something to be dragged out. Let the Chief rest.
It didn't go into development long before the PS5 dev kits were available. Those dev kits were rumoured to have gone out to 3rd parties in early 2018 which is only shortly after the Frozen Wilds DLC.
