"To think you would even try to bunch up and compare useless neckbead death threats with cancel culture like its the same level...pathetic."
If you honestly think that someone disagreeing with you on Twitter is worse than death threats, then you need to see a therapist, lad. You have to go through a lot of mental gymnastics to believe that.
Not much nuance or common sense in this comment section. He hasn't been cancelled. He's his own employer, lads, so he can't be fired no matter how much anyone disagrees with him on Twitter. "Sweet Jesus, I've been cancelled! You can fight back by buying my new game."
The way people label things "cancel culture" is self-serving and not consistent at all. If Naughty Dog's staff receiving death threats in a very organized way (the abuse ...
To be fair, Sony didn't gimp or mess with the Xbox version of MLB The Show whereas MS decided not to optimize Psychonauts 2 for PS5 when they are doing so for Series X|S (intentionally giving PlayStation owners an inferior product for the same money). All future Double Fine games will be exclusive to Xbox so there really wasn't any need to do that.
Why is that happening? Because PlayStation are obligated by MLB not to do what Xbox have done. Both Sony and MS are co...
"based on my review almost 3 years ago". The game has been out for just 1 year and 7 months (November 2019).
I think "lazily ported" or "barebones port" is more appropriate than "horribly ported" which has different connotations than the issues highlighted, e g. a modest increase in visuals, basic Dualsense implementation, and so on.
Hmm. Given the date, I would not be surprised if this ended up being a PS Plus game.
Would not be surprised if there's a twist where the new AI is actually just Cortana all along or at least has an objective which will majorly conflict with what Master Chief is doing. Cortana was obviously not just killed offscreen ("deleted").
I also try to be fair to MS (gave them a lot of credit for BC even though many downplayed it) but you have to admit that there were loads of comments making a big deal that games like Forbidden West and R&C are either 4K 30fps or a lower resolution at 60fps to create a certain narrative.
Now, it's obvious that the Series X will need to make the same concessions which is fine but those comments were certainly not "objective".
It does look like a massive improvement over the previous OlliOlli games.
No Perfect Dark either.
To be fair, they announced Fable, Perfect Dark and Avowed a year ago. There really should have been gameplay for some of those, along with campaign gameplay for Halo Infinite.
That was the one thing I didn't like about the trailer. I've never enjoyed that trope, and they just keep doing it. haha.
I am wondering how much George R. R. Martin's involvement in the story is going to change things up. He established the lore and everything that happens before the game, but it's up to the team to create a story that does it justice.
I think they're will be a 60fps option for Part II. People are willing to accept the dip in resolution.
For me, it's the expectation that every game will have a 60fps option that I'm really loving. A game not having 60fps as an option is the exception, not the norm.
Hope they confirm some sort of upgrade path for this.
So, wait ... Returnal didn't chart in the top 20 in the UK in May when the game came out on April 30th? Jesus. Sony need to slash the price a bit (e.g. €60 equivalent in pounds) and promote its quality.
Colin Moriarty is very insistent that it's not possible to make games without crunch, and says any developer who has a problem with it should just choose a different profession.
Have my doubts that he'll address this story, tbh. haha

Good stuff Insomniac. This game has better reviews than A Crack In Time.

I've wanted to know if they'd be including a Performance RT mode at launch for while now, or if we'd have to wait for it. This makes a Day 1 buy (or at least within the first few days of release) a much easier choice. Good stuff Insomniac.
I wonder if reviewers had access to this patch before they started playing? The embargo lifts in 3 days.
Just to expand on a point from my original comment:
The most concerning part of this case are the threats to Cawthon's safety, not that people are disagreeing with him which is obviously within their right. It's the same thing for Naughty Dog. You don't have to like their work but death threats are not acceptable and they're stressful to those who receive them and their families. Nobody should have to worry about their personal safety over online disagreemen...
