I often feel that way with indie games (more so in the past though; they've grown on me, especially as the move away from simply imitating NES and SNES games). Some of the ones that did actually get me were Hotline Miami 1 + 2, Guacamelee, Rocket League, Velocity 2X, BlazeRush and Spelunky.
Yeah, it's a pretty huge upgrade.
As is Stardew Valley, which is on this list.
PS4 gamers definitely support these kind of games WAY more (if Sunset Overdrive was released on PS4, I think it would have done way better), but since the price of porting over a game is so low thanks to the x86 architecture, surely they're still better of releasing it on multiple platforms anyway? Bare in mind, I play and prefer PS4, but why not let multiple audiences play it?
That was pretty damn cool at 1:29. GTA 5 really is a great game. It's a shame they never released any story DLC though. Might get back to playing this.

PlayStation Neo And PlayStation 4.5: Why Sony's Rumored Console Refresh May Be A Disaster". All the console manufacturers get plenty of criticism on this site; it's just that Nintendo has the most issues at the moment (and that's a pretty objective observation).
I've heard its not very good which is kind of disappointing considering how excellent the game is. Best platformer this generation by far!
And it deserves its sales (and acclaim). I felt very strongly that I needed to support this game Day 1 because these kind of games don't get made a lot anymore. I didn't think it was going to do this great!
I'm really interested in this game. It has a really great concept, music, randomness and style. I think I'm going to buy it anyway despite the mixed reviews.
"I'll stick to the NX and the Japanese third parties". There's more far more Japanese third party games on PlayStation consoles than Nintendo consoles (its been like that for a long time now), and Japanese third party games are, you guessed it, third party games. Your whole comment is nonsensical bullshit, and damage control.
Didn't you say that Sony fans were embarassing and something to be ashamed about the other day (really, its an idiotic statement...
@wonderfulmonkeyman
I feel you're stretching pretty far to excuse the fact that the PS3 actually sold pretty well. I don't think the extended life cycle is really that relevant tbh. The Wii had a similarly long life-span, but demand dropped severely after 3 or so years. PS3 demand only dropped when the PS4 came out. I understand what you're saying, but the PS3 cost SUBSTANTIALLY more than the PS2, so I think in a way it all evens out. I mean, Sony did lose a lar...
153m? The PS3 sold, what, 86m? "Kinda convenient" that you didn't subtract PS3 numbers from the PS2 numbers or look at the percentages (probably because 55-60% returning sounds A LOT better than an abysmal 12%). You're being terribly dishonesl. To be fair, the returning back argument is actually pretty valid and holds water.
The PS3 sold less than the PS2 because the Xbox 360 posed good competition, the PS3 had some bad design decisions and the PS3 went t...
Looks great. Cool way to get it out of the mansion, but retain the same kind of tension.
You're right. This is annoying. I hope they don't go ahead with this. They should wait until the PS5 and create an infrastructure to allow people to casually upgrade their consoles, rather than buying the console all over again for a minor upgrade, that's certainly not a $400 upgrade.That being said, I am excited for Uncharted 4. I kind of feel like I know what's going to happen in the story though, which kind of annoys me because it seems sort of obvious (I made a link betwee...
It was also a great game.
You're very misinformed. These franchises aren't made a lot anymore because the studios that made them went on to make great *new* franchises and try out new things (not every studio goes back to the same well, every generation, like Nintendo - it's healthy to just move to something *new*). You're being extraordinarily petty and idiotic trying to abstract far more meaning out of that than is actually present.
"If they made a new Crash, Jak, Sly or Spyro...
@Ratchet8
I liked the challenge, and I thought that it was the one with the most interesting story. I actually played them all again fairly recently, and was surprised that I now prefer Jak 2 over Jak 3, albeit, certainly not by much (I think Jak 3 needed more platforming and puzzles in its second half). Damn great games though. I think the mix of story, a hoverboard that can act sort of like a skate board, hover vehicles, guns, more sharp humour, etc with the platforming formula is...
@WiseCrack10
"Deep down, you know that I'm right and it hurts you inside". Wow, you're a really sad guy. The only thing that hurts is my insides laughing at your dopey, fanboyism-riddled comment. For tons of people, the PS2 platformers were far superior and memorable to the GameCube platformers (for me anyway), and of course, the inverse is also true. They're not even the same kind of games! Tons of us played collectaton platformers, and these PS2 games were jus...
The title for this study is "Acting like a Tough Guy: Violent-Sexist Video Games, Identification with Game Characters, Masculine Beliefs, & Empathy for Female Violence Victims" .... and the final comment is "Unfortunately, it appears that GTA might make the world a worse place for females." That will let you know for the crap that you're in for.
The bias and the melodrama in this study is beyond extreme, and hard to stomach, considering how long th...
It's probably because Nintendo has little else of consequence scheduled for this year (or the very least, presented to the public), and one of the only games that they did have was delayed. And its unlikely they'll have much to release this year, since they've clearly decided that they'll wait to the NX to release most of their big IPs and new games.
This is literally the worst year of releases for a console, that any of the Big 3 has ever had, when its suc...
