How?
I don't know - I think it's a little more nuanced than that. Pandering is a thing that exists. Games like this and Life Is Strange don't fall into that though, and a game isn't automatically pandering just because it has ___ type of character.
However, the other day for example, there was an article complaining that Battlefield 1 (a WW1 game) wasn't going to have female soldiers. That's obviously a ridiculous thing to get enraged over. Besides very l...
I absolutely adore these games. I don't agree with the articles' perception of HM2, but whatever.
The game looks very fun, but it's from the developers of Ghosts, so I'm going to stay cautious. That being said, people clearly overreacted and they need to swallow their pride.
What you're saying is absolutely crazy. "Well, some of the gameplay mechanics are not completely realistic to make the game fun, so that means the theme, the music, the aesthetic, etc don't need to make any effort to be realistic or authentic at all - screw, they should add aliens because the tank physics aren't completely realistic - my viewpoint makes total sense."
You're saying a WW1 shooter needs or should probably include women to be inclusive...
This story was never talked about honestly, with only the narrative feminists wanted being adopted. What you're talking about applied to a very specific context. They don't have a problem including women and diverse characters. Despite the terrible reporting by the media (sensationalized headlines and anger), it's clear that the main reason that women weren't included in AC: Unity's co-op mode was because they wanted it to be seamless with the single-player - so you needed...
The game only took some cutscenes from the movie, and also threw in its own. The movie itself is filled with stuff that's not in the game (and vice versa), from what I've heard (I've also heard its not very good).
No!!! I've said this a lot, but I was really pissed off when no Skate or SSX game was revealed at E3 (it's never going to happen now), and now this. They better not JUST be working on Battlefront (flying, it seems) and Star Wars games like the VR game. If EA shuts down Criterion after all this ....
Eh .... what was that supposed to be a joke, and who were you even addressing?
Well, unless I'm missing a catch, that's pretty awesome. Titanfall's biggest problem was a severe lack of content, so this is great.
To be fair, I think they want to hold off and put any new ideas for characters and gameplay into their next game. To make a GTA5 DLC they'd have to come up with a 3 new characters ("better off saving them fr the sequel," is probably the gist of what was said).
The popularity of GTAO and the huge income from micro-transactions, as others have pointed out, would have reinforced this idea. DLC for GTA6 would also delay the development of GTA6 (possibly pushing i...
I think it's rather obvious that I understood what the article was talking about. "To accomplish that, they'd have had to have pulled in people outside of the hardcore Nintendo fans." The article never alludes to this - we're simply having a difference of opinion, and that's okay.
I think it's a reasonable conclusion that this is the primary (not only) reason for the attention: as there is no other big Wii U game to focus on, a huge chunk of Ni...
It's going to be great to finally play this.
It's the only big Wii U game for Nintendo fans to talk about (other audiences have their attention divided over tons and tons of games), there has been little to no news for it since 2014 and there was a lot of gameplay released for it by both Nintendo and lets players. It pretty much is all Nintendo fans are really talking about right now.
That being said, the game looks really good, Zelda has a hardcore fanbase and it would have ranked high regardless of those caveats...
It looks pretty fun. Balls-to-the-wall action.
I really hope this is good.
Personally, it doesn't look to me like the franchise is willing to evolve. This has always been a problem with Gears Of War. Gears 2 connection problems disappointed a lot of fans, and Gears 3 tried (and you could argue, succeeded) in capturing what most people liked about the original. But now we're doing that again, after the disappointment of Judgement. Oh well, look, if this is what the hardcore fans want, that's fine, but I think it's okay for people to notice this.
I think it was. It was very well paced, and the games just kept coming.
I was really disappointed that EA have basically abandoned SSX and Skate for good, so this was a very pleasant surprise. My only worry is that it will be like The Crew. Too much ambition, not enough substance - but we'll see. I'm much more immediately impressed by Steep than I was for that. It looks more polished,
Cool list. But no Burnout games? Even though I think it doesn't really have particularly iconic tracks or anything, Ridge Racer: Unbounded is an extremely underrated racing game. It's like Burnout, Flatout and Ridge Racer (loosely, just an emphasis on drifting) put together. I recently bought it and couldn't believe how good it was.
