Your feelings are perfectly valid. I completely get what you're saying, but I'm personally happy to wait, and I think putting PSVR and the Neo out in the same year could potentially be a big mistake. People only have so much money, and I'd rather people supported a step forward in how we play games (that builds on top of what we know, rather than side-stepping it like many gimmicks we've seen in the last 10 years), than a simple hardware upgrade.
Well ... they are. But that doesn't mean that PC Gamers don't contribute, as a whole (as seen here).
Well, that's a shame. The concept itself was right up my alley.
I like it this way, and I agree with the sentiment of the article. E3 should be for the public. I think we all get bored with statistics and buzzwords like "intense" and "immersive" being thrown our way. This delivery was streamlined for us, and was immensely more entertaining. The games did the talking. Talking and speeches were only provided when necessary, or because we actually wanted them (Kojima). The casual transition between Death Stranding and Spiderman left me sp...
From what he's saying here (that you need games to show off the hardware first, before revealing it), I hope we can infer that the Neo isn't coming out this year, and that they have time to refine and improve it. I think it's a bit too early for its release to be honest. It will be more powerful if it releases next year, will be priced better, will have more support since both consoles will have upgraded versions (rather than one) and the generation will end up being longer, which...
Well fortunately, Codemasters took them in. I hope they're not made to exclusively make sim racers, and still get to make arcade racers like Motorstorm.
The studios that made Pure, Split/Second, Motorstorm, Metal Gear Solid and Driveclub are dead (or purged for Kojima Productions). Jesus Christ. The gaming industry is losing so much of its individuality and game diversity by the day, that it's actually getting ridiculous.
Yeah, but Ubisoft is the devil apparently.
This is actually really cool, and looks like a terrific amount of fun. It seems inspired by Trackmania. I understand people's desire for single player DLC (myself included), but guys, C'MON! Of all the times to complain, this is the least warranted.
I'm worried that's never going to happen. Maybe licencing is the main issue. I dunno. Rockstar is apparently profiting quite a lot from these titles, so you'd expect other publishers to have come to the table by now.
This is really cool, but we REALLY NEED more than just Rockstar PS2 games and the odd obscure, but appreciated by smaller audiences, titles on the store. We need games from EA (SSX, Burnout, Fifa Street, Need for Speed, etc), Activision (Tony Hawk, Gun, True Crime, Spiderman, etc) and so on. And Sony needs to decide if they're going to have emulated versions of games like Jak & Daxter, or 1080p ports of their PS3 collections. Not making them available at all is terrible.

Blur was an extremely fun racing game. I appreciated that it actually had 4-player split-screen and it played very well, with some good diversity in the event types too. It's saddening that we haven't seen many games of that caliber in the genre, come out this generation.
I also feel similarly about Ridge Racer: Unbounded. I really hated that no one played it. It was so good - a masterful blend of Burnout and Split/Second with an emphasis on drifting (albeit, more l...
Personally, I would add Ridge Racer: Unbounded. I'm pretty sure it sold around 200-300k. I love that game. Chaining takedowns/frags with the triggering of explosions and ripping through buildings was an incredible feeling. Unfortunately, many traditional RR fans despised it and it did a poor job of explaining itself (it's also very hard at first), so it was very divisive and was not given its due. Any game that combines the general concept of drifting from Ridge Racer, with the gamepl...
It may be controversial to some, but I really hated that no one played Ridge Racer: Unbounded. It was so damn good - a really fun, masterful blend of Burnout and Split/Second with an emphasis on drifting (albeit, more like drifting in a game like Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit), which required some practice and skill. Chaining takedowns/frags with the triggering of explosions and ripping through buildings felt incredible. Unfortunately, many traditional RR fans despised it and it did a poor job ...

Definitely really interested in this, with it being inspired a lot by both Jak & Daxter, and R & C. Let's just hope it's good.
Salty.
Oh yeah. I remember that PS1 game. I think I got it free years ago on PSN as well. I didn't grow up with it though (I think my cousins had it, and I saw it while visiting), so I don't have much of an opinion formulated on it. Btw, the guys who made Flatout: Ultimate Carnage actually made Ridge Racer: Unbounded (Bugbear Entertainment). Sorry for the rant on this game as well, lol. If you do ever get around to playing it, don't be afraid to message me and tell me your opinion on it....
I personally don't think we're going to get another Burnout game. Apparently, Criterion's recent open-world racing game was cancelled. I haven't actually played many of the Flatout games (was looking into it though), so I should get on that.
I REALLY recommend that you get Ridge Racer: Unbounded (btw, it's on the 360 as well). I bought it recently, and I've been having an unbelievable amount of fun with it. Besides heavy drifting (to build up boost, ...
Totally agree. I really think bringing out the Neo this year would be rushing things.
