SSX, Prince Of Persia and a Skate game would all be huge announcements for me. It's been far too long. I'd love a new Splinter Cell as well, since it's been around 3 years or so. I feel like a lot of genres of games have been underserved this generation, and it really is time for them to come back, or at the very least, for games of their ilk to be made again.
I suspect Criterion is making a Burnout game, or a Burnout-style game, except possibly with more types of vehicles. The latest Need for Speed games have actually suffered a lot without them (Hot Pursuit and the recent Most Wanted were the most fun ones for me last gen, and they were made by Criterion).
Rocket League really is phenomenal. Developers should note from Rocket League (I think The Witcher 3 is a good example too) that free DLC garners more sales and good will. An onslaught of micro-transactions results in Evolve-style sales.
Please give us another Prince Of Persia game - it's been so long. A new Splinter Cell game would be appreciated as well. Blacklist was actually really good.
I'd love to see what Criterion have being doing, along with a possible new SSX or Skate game.
Yeah, they put it up for free on PS Plus as well, and I assume that I would never have played it without that. I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was though. The thing I gravitated to the most was how many alternate paths there was, and just generally how big the levels were, I usually tried to completely clear them out, one by one.
Was the PS2 version a good port, or more importantly, does the PS4-emulated version run well? Really interested in buying it.
Totally agree. I was actually very impressed with the extra depth to the hacking and the general gameplay improvements. It looked a lot more like GTA (in the places it needed to). The parkour looks awesome.
I wouldn't really be inclined to agree with that. He was a bit bland for my taste. Apparently, these new characters are supposed to have more of a sense of fun.
@Pogmathoin
I believe that is what actually Foxtrot meant (I don't think he's racist at all), but it was unclear because he didn't mention the overall design or anything. It was just him saying that the Asian to black transition was an improvement, without any context. That's why Kingthrash360 even brought it up. I was being fair to him. Now, he's changed it, and I'm really pissed off that he has the nerve to call me a liar. Ugh.
No, he edited his comment after arguing with Kingthrash360. Originally, there was no mention of the overall design.
@-Foxtrot
Are you actually serious? I did read your comment, but you changed it (I was watching the video instead of moaning about the game, and didn't refresh the page). Now you're pretending that you didn't say what you said (you edited the comment 20 min later and completely altered it) - If you believed what you wrote originally was without fault, you wouldn't do that.
"...Jeez," it's sad that you're bothered LYING about some...
The amount of negativity here is ridiculous (I'll point out that this is coming from actual hipsters, ironically). Okay, we get it - you don't like Ubisoft. Get over and go away. Personally, I think the game looks interesting, and San Francisco is good location to go for.
@-Foxtrot
To be fair, you just said that a black character instead of an Asian character is an improvement, and that's literally racist. If there was the white->black transition and you said the same thing, it would also be racist (no double standard with me). Your problem being that the character had a specific kind of style and attitude that you didn't like is fine, but that's not what you said nor did you imply it. But whatever, no big deal.
Note:...
No. He mentioned additional problems besides the story: he said that the city is bland, that the tasks can become very repetitive, that the graphics are muddled, that there's some weird design decisions (collectibles) and that combat needs work. You have selective memory. If you're implying that I only looked at the number, well, that's just not true.
There's an incredibly arbitrary rule, and is not reflective of reality.
This could have a LOT of potential. If they improve the driving, world, variety, story, etc they could have a really good game. It could be the AC1->AC2, FC2->FC3 improvement a lot if us are hoping for. The teaser itself is terrible, but whatever. Bring on the actual reveal.
Oh wow. I think this kind of shows that it's not always a good idea to shoehorn open-world into everything. That being said, the traversal (especially with the grappling hook) looks really good. Not enthused by the combat though.
Yeah. I like GTAO quite a bit, but I thought RDR felt a lot more seamless. Ironically, the world didn't feel as empty either, because they were spawning in a similar amount of NPCs, whereas there is a noticeable disparity in GTA Online, between it and the campaign. There was also all the farms to casually attack in the open world with friends which was awesome. The co-op horde mode in Undead Nightmare was an unbelievable amount of fun as well.
This is absolutely disgusting. Clickbait bastards. And if they actually believe this stuff, they're morons and should be fired immediately. The possible reasons why he did this have already been outlined, so stop trying to capitalize on a mass shooting, you mindless, heartless losers. Jonathan Blow should be ashamed of himself.
