I assume this is a troll post. That being said, it's a good excuse to rant about how homogenized and boring AAA games have become this gen. The drop in quality, quantity and diversity (concept and genre) from last gen is really noticeable to me anyway.
It's really nice to see a game doing something weird knowing that 10-30% of people are going to dislike it. So be it. There are a ton of people out there who hate Dark Souls as well. Not every game should be for every...
Honestly, I hope they don't bother reviewing it. They're going to leave a petty, low score if they do.
84 on Metacritic. IGN is the outlier.
It depends. A CPU intensive game is not going to run on a system with a poor CPU. If you tried to get Red Faction: Guerilla running on a Wii, it would have melted. Those physics simply weren't possible on that platform.
Hopefully next gen games are more CPU intensive as these games are the ones that truly push games forward in terms of tech.
It does matter a little bit for the PlayStation brand. It means that this game falls into the same category as Xbox exclusives or games like Resident Evil 4 - kinda exclusives. Still, it's most likely going to be an amazing game so that shouldn't affect anyone's decision to buy it. I assume it will never go to Xbox or Nintendo platforms since Sony bankrolled it and it's on the Decima engine.
If Outer Worlds wasn't on Game Pass, it would have beat No. 3 on the list.
I feel sorry for the people who picked up WWE 2K20. That's like a kid asking for a PS5 for Christmas and getting Google Stadia.
This game seems like it's going to be the complete opposite of boring, made-by-committee games. Can't wait.
There's a lot of fake concern about DS though. "Oh God. It's so weird!!! What's going on!!! Is the gaming community even going to be able to understand this game! This game is going is so divisive!". Morons.
It's just criticism of an artist's work. If you don't like it, move along.
Not sure why Devolver is worried by subscription services for platforms that they're not even bothered releasing most of their games on anymore. Katana Zero, Ape Out, My Friend Pedro and Gris never came to PS4 and XB1.
I've heard that Wreckfest is quite good but I haven't tried it yet. The selection of arcade racers this generation has been dreadful overall though.
Burnout is better with tracks but Paradise is still a lot of fun. Exploring the open world (particularly Big Surf Island) is great but the races could use more direction and a bump in difficulty.
I really wanted to like Onrush but it gets boring pretty fast. The tricks that you can do on the bikes are a nice touch though. I was drawn in by the takedowns but they're underwhelming. If you want more Burnout and takedowns, you should go back and play Ridge Racer: Unbounded. Very underrated - it is a terrible Ridge Racer game (not a franchise that I care much about) but a really fun racing game.
Even just in the interest of preserving their catalogue of games, Sony need to put much more effort into backwards compatability. I remember being so happy that I could pop MGS1 and Crash Team Racing into my PS2 with no issues.
The PS2 was the best console ever so the fact that so few games have been emulated on PS4 displays incompetence and a huge lack of effort. Despite the fact that most PS3 games have digital versions that can be emulated (unlike PS2), they're proba...
What you just said is the opposite of reality.
Plenty of gamers dislike this game. It has 2.6 userscore on PS4. "Don't listen to the critics or the gamers!"
The game has motorbikes, hoverboards, you can slide down hills avoiding rocks and so on. If the only games that you can enjoy are ones where you're constantly killing and blowing things up, you're a bit dull.
Trump actually asked for a price estimate on how to line the US border with trenches with alligators and electrified walls with flesh-piercing spikes. He wants migrants (which woud include minors) to be eaten alive by alligators and to get impaled on the walls if they manage to get past them. WTF?
From an outsider's perspective (Irish), I honestly can't believe how low Republican's have sunk to elect someone like this and to defend this behaviour.
Everyone knows that I disliked Days Gone but it definitely deserved a better score than this sorry excuse for a game.
The game has an 85 on Metacritic. ffs
