I'm genuinely disappointed. If the PS5 and XSX cost the same, this is a rip-off. The PS5 needs to be $50-$100 cheaper. If it is, this isn't so bad since the CPUs are comparable. If Sony sells this thing for $500, then they should have went the extra mile and made it on par with the Series X.
Disappointing. The Series X is quite a bit more powerful than the PS5. If the PS5 isn't cheaper, that's going to be a hard sell.
I get what you're saying (most remakes are noticeably different in some way) but the game was remastered on PS3 where it had the bells and whistles of a typical remaster (higher resolution, better framerate, better AA, etc).
SOTC (PS4) was definitely a remake. Bluepoint rebuilt the game and all the assets and even changed the feel of the game a little bit by tightening up the controls. Bluepoint just decided not to deviate at all from the source material.
I partially disagree. I agree that games before the PS2 generally haven't aged well. On the other hand, I think something that a lot of people miss is that the polygonal look of PS1/N64/90s PC games is just as charming for people who grew up with them at an early age. There are games like Strafe that intentionally emulated that specific look. In reality, 8 bit graphics look similarly poor if you take the nostalgia glasses off. They have simplistic art, garish colour palettes, repetitive m...
No Sands Of Time, no respect.
It's obviously a different situation. SR4 came to PS4 and XB1 over 5 years ago. It was also ported to those platforms because it came out right before this gen started (Aug 2013) so many people would have missed it.

Not all but an increasing amount of them are, no doubt because Epic are putting a lot of cash forward to secure exclusivity which is even harder for a small publisher to ignore. The indie teams themselves would also have a say though. For example, Fall Guys (battle royal) will be coming to Steam and PS4.
I would have thought that Steam's policy of banning games from releasing more than 30 days after their initial release on another platform would have put an end to this...
So, not only can you not play Devolver Digital's games on PlayStation or Xbox anymore unless they occasionally bother to port them a year or so later but now you also can't play their games on PC if you don't want to use the Epic Games Store? Some games like Observation have only been on the EGS on PC but I hoped that these were one-offs.
Don't bother making a fake E3 presentation jeering AAA companies because you have your own shitty business practices now....
The game has basically been out for a year already.
There's nothing worse than someone who won't reconsider their opinion when presented with the facts. We can see that plenty of people are now purchasing the game on Steam and decided not to purchase it on the Epic Games Store. Some people share your opinion but clearly many others don't. It's not that hard to understand.
The EGS is ridiculously basic. Even something simple like achievements/trophies are still missing after 14 months - this feature has been p...
Don't get me wrong, I will be buying this. If you love arcade racing games then you need to support these guys. I just want them to finally put out a solid, polished game that I can easily recommend.
Open world? Hmm. I've bought all of this studio's games so far and I'm not sure that this is a great idea. My gut tells me that they should have polished the formula laid out in the first game, finally made a game that could get over 75 on Metacritic and then they could have moved on and made an open world game.
The developers are clearly talented because the driving felt great in the first game (insanely fast with tight controls and good drifting) but Dangerou...
Generic, poorly realized characters are one of Crystal Dynamics's biggest problems so I'm not surprised that this issue is carrying over to the Avenger's game.
No, the article is right. Ghost Games' NFS games were conceptually close to what many NFS fans wanted but they just weren't that fun to play and they were poorly made. NFS 2015 is the one that I got furthest into but the rubber-banding ruined the game.
Criterion know how to make fun racing games better than any other studio. Hot Pursuit is easily the best NFS of the last 10 years. Most Wanted is not a good follow up to the original but it's solid for those who ...
This is insane.
They're far more tolerable. In MW, all the DLC is free, there's no in-game advantages from micro-transactions and battle passes add an extra layer of progression that wasn't previously there. I haven't played it yet but I'm actually considering getting MW after giving up on COD years ago.
Thanks, man. Well, I was very bummed out about it! Things aren't perfect but they're a lot better. I generally keep vibration disabled on gamepads because it can be painful as well but sometimes you forget how much it adds to a game. Spiderman PS4 is a different game without that feedback.
The Series X is fully backwards compatible with everything on the XB1 (even 360 and OG Xbox games). I was expecting that I'd be able to play all of my PS4 games on PS5. How can MS achieve this but Sony can't? Sony's lack of effort on backwards compatibility is amazing.
