Not putting this feature into other versions of the game is bullshit. End of.
Each trophy comes with a certain amount of points (score) and your trophy level is decided by how many of these points you have accumulated. It's essentially the same except it's a bit more gamified - you get a trophy level instead of a raw score and you have more of an incentive to 100% games due to platinums.
Bronze - 15 points
Silver - 30 points
Gold - 90 points
Platinum - 180 points

GTA 5 has a greater attention to detail than most games released this generation, to be fair.
Great argument, dude.
"When the game was ready to release the wolves of gaming journalism tries to rip its throat out. It was picked a part by the vultures that lurk on gaming websites across the internet." Not overdramatic at all.
Metro Exodus is definitely underrated. It was nominated for almost nothing in most end of the year discussions.
It's always nice to see innovation rewarded and this game deserves more recognition. Congrats to Mobius Digital and congrats to Eurogamer for having the balls to pick an adventure/puzzle game as GOTY. A lot of people probably wanted them to pick an AAA game but besides Death Stranding, most AAA games this year didn't really do anything new.
The main picks are good but the honourable mentions are a bit bland. Where the f*** is Hotline Miami, The Talos Principle, Superhot, Katana Zero, Thumper, My Friend Pedro, Hollow Knight, The Witness, Niddhogg, Night In The Woods, Journey, Towerfall, Guacamelee, Furi, Olli Olli, Ape Out, Pyre, The Stanley Parable, etc?
Not a big fan of the Epic Games Store but it's not "free" - there are no strings attached. A game is being made free on the store each day for 12 days. There's been some other standouts like Celeste, Superhot and Ape Out as well.

No.
It is true that people go out of their way to make excuses for Nintendo's shortcomings - I shudder at the thought of wonderfulmonkeyman returning to N4G. That being said, there is a discussion to be had about trophies/achievements negatively altering the way that some people play games. We all know people who go after platinums for the sake of it when they're not actually enjoying themselves, playing games that they would never normally play (Terminator Salvation, Hannah Montana, etc)...
Wtf are you talking about? At worst, he was just using the fact that CD Projekt have actually bothered to upgrade their tech as an opportunity to make a joke about Bethesda.
If he said, "Cyberpunk looks fine but it should be third person," or something, then maybe your "joke" would have worked.
Here's a direct link to the EU January Sale store page if anyone wants to have a look: https://store.playstation.c...
On the EU PS Store, tons of games have gotten steep discounts (presumably January Sales) although there's no page listing all of the deals yet.
So true. They've been given a free pass for far too long. The last new single-player IP that they released was Watch_Dogs in 2014. Every new IP that they've released since then has been games as service crap
If you're talking about Shadowfall, sure, but Killzone 3 and particularly Killzone 2 were really damn good games.
"Sekiro is our game of the year!!!" - Gaming Journalists
"I can hear the triggered easy mode beggar journalists already" - AspiringProGenji
Something ain't right here.
When Death Stranding won Best Direction I was happy but then when Resi 2 didn't get GOTY I felt really bad for them.
It's so weird that Sekiro is the first new singleplayer IP that Activision has published in about a decade and they go straight to GOTY. Hopefully they'll learn something positive from this.
Yes. Game journalists are the ones that conflated accessibility options and difficulty in 2019 in order to try make the high difficulty in FromSoftware games some sort of moral issue. "Do you not want disabled people to be able to play these games? Disgusting!!!" The [contrived] misunderstanding is on them.
Journalists shouldn't use people with impairments as a shield for their op-eds. I have tendonitis in my hands so I really appreciate being able to remap b...
