Unmatched? Hardly. However, it was a deep and engaging experience, and for that, it deserves credit.
It can be played single player like Until Dawn.
Well, this is a discussion specific to sales. Why click on it if you're not interested?
OT: Of course allocation is lower. An iterative console won't move the sort of numbers that a new gen machine will (another reason I stand by it that generations aren't going anywhere).
As an owner of 64GB of DDR4 @ 2400MHz, I can tell you, there isn't any such thing as "too much RAM". And the idea that hardly anyone ever buys that much is also bogus. I know plenty of folks in my club. The more RAM, the better, and you can't ever have too much.
The X1X will shine due to this very fact, as if it were an 8GB system, it would hardly have any notable advantage over the Pro. That extra 4GB is a game changer.
On the X, it plays worst in 4K Native mode. 4K Enrichment steps the performance up, while High Framerate mode offers the best performance (though at the cost of a better image).
Amazing how you got so many disagrees for that fact. The PC version definitely is the top-tier edition of the game. However, I'd still credit the X1X with being able to get close to what I played on PC a few years ago! Mighty impressive what consoles can do these days!
@ -Thanos: Um, you can't know if they "dropped the ball hard" until the game is out. For all anyone knows, this could be one of the best selling GT's in the series.
Also, with an IP as big as GT, Polyphony isn't going anywhere. So conjuring up the idea is pointless. Evolution wasn't even in the same ballpark as them.
@343: Is the Xbox One X going to cost $100?
And PC remains ahead because more power (:
OT: Looks fantastic! Good to see the Pro being utilized this way! Just bought one recently, in fact!
His question:
"On PC yes, but where are the sales on xbox?"
Your reply:
"click and read the article."
All I'm saying is there isn't any mention of Xbox sales, on their own, in the article.
It isn't about an "isolation", "agenda" or whatever generic term you'd like to use. I simply did what you asked of Aspiring and couldn't find what you were talking about. Just remember to read the articles you ask others to read. :)
@ darth: The point? He said to read the article, and in so doing, the information he claimed was there isn't. Microsoft making money isn't relevant to that point.
I read the article and they don't single out the Xbox One's sales numbers at all. They call the game a success, but that would include the PC version.
Agreed. Every game is different and this doesn't need to become a trend. It's a nice little addition to Origins, but it shouldn't be contagious.
Actually, people did complain about that.
Shoot.
It's worth noting that it is also a good ways behind the 360 at the same time. If we're measuring success, all of the variables have o be considered. As seniyah put it - they aren't in the race by themselves.
Well, yeah. I'm not sure where anything else was insinuated.
Only on PC! ;p
Really, though, as good as the game looks, I still think it's a bit behind other racers.
No. GT is not Forza. FAR bigger franchise commercially. Never mind that this is the first iteration on the PS4.
