Sales will reflect what, exactly? And multiplats, up until the X1X launch, will look better on the PS4 than the Xbox One. All the article is stating is that the (FEATURE-SET) will be the same. Not the performance/visuals.

"It's not the same exact graphics because the Switch can't push them, you know, but the experience itself - you're not missing out on anything from the Switch version [compared] to the main consoles version."

It definitely won't. With all of the things one can do on a PC, it won't. Never mind far better framerates, no online subscriptions, and cheaper games.

That is false, I'm afraid.

You'd have to know what "most PCs" have in them to make that claim. Steam surveys don't cut it - as there are a lot of other factors to consider, such as the PCs that aren't even counted. Thus, it's pointless to make that claim.

As far as the strongest gaming device there is, that remains the PC.

"Phil already said that not every Xbox exclusive will be on PC"

Hadn't heard this. I thought every one of them would be on PC for the foreseeable future.

Some of them might not get what you're saying, but I do. For example, 5 years ago, we had the GTX 690 out in the wild. It was a monstrous card, at the time. Paired with Sandy Bridge-E and 32GB of RAM (my PC specs by early 2013), it could absolutely hit the framerates of any current gen console. 4K is another matter, but like you said, don't know why some chose to conveniently add that in there.

Gran Turismo is the premier Driving Simulator on consoles and Sony's flagship IP. Nothing wrong with what he said, in that regard.

OT: Microsoft's in-house IPs just need an increase in quantity. What they provide is of much quality, there's just not enough of it. Once they step things up on that end, they'll be in better shape.

In fairness, this is hardly the best example of the Xbox One X's advantage over the One S. former is 4x the power, yet, this is a game that was hardly a looker to begin with. So, with the source material being a bit sub-par, just bumping the res to 4K won't offer vastly better looking individual parts, such as textures (though, you can still see a moderate improvement).

I'd wait for the heavy hitters (Battlefront II/Forza 7) and compare current AAA titles (Gear...

Nope. With a gap of up to 30 million consoles over the X1, that tide won't turn either. More power isn't going to cut it. To change the minds of the mainstream, you have to change the message. Adding lipstick to a pig displays a prettier pig. It's STILL a pig, though. For Microsoft, that pig is a lack of exclusive Xbox software. No matter how many teraflops you help the Xbox system achieve, without a way to keep the brand strong and competitive, it's a waste.

Yet, the biggest bundle to release in the next month is a Pro one. I'll never understand why you don't do some sort of research before hitting "ADD".

OT: No, Sony shouldn't (and likely ISN'T) worry about the X1X at all. They're in a very good spot, right now. Cheaper box, plenty of power, and most importantly, a plethora of games out + on the way. Coast to 2019, unveil the most powerful console of all (PS5), and repeat everything that went righ...

I've never heard of Bloodbourne, but hey, F is in the word effort, so do you. :P

OT: I'm sure this will help someone out there (though I can't imagine many..... it IS 2017, after all).

This is what I feared with the release of the X1X. All logical discussion would cease and people would only follow their preferences blindly.

If you really expect developers to look "past the Pro", you will be in for a rude awakening. It hasn't even begun, as we still read plenty of interviews with developers creating titles with the PS4 and PS4 Pro in mind.

Power and "best game experience" are mutually exclusive. For many, power doesn't mean anything to have the "best" gaming experience.

Besides, if it's all about power, then the PC is THE absolute best there is!

In regards to the "limping Pro", last time I checked, it has plenty of games out, plenty on the way, and plenty in 4K.

@ Gho5t:

If Sony takes issue with it, why would I argue about it? They understand their business better than me, or you. If they gave the green light, I'm fine with that, too. For me, it's about what they deem as best to keep their business strong. This is, of course, more beneficial than winning a forum debate.

3093d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

I agree. I understand that they'r trying to keep their business secure. In the end, that's of much bigger interest to me, the consumer, than if they allow crossplay with Xbox.

@ gangsta: Perhaps you should look into if you'd like to know, or stop assuming there's some "hidden" message behind it.

Besides, the topic isn't about what Sony's doing.
