Why not just argue his points, versus making claims you can't prove and derailing the topic with talks of God of War?
OT: After Halo 5, 343i has potential (I actually enjoyed the campaign). Just need some fine tuning, but if nothing else, they should give it one more shot with Halo 6!
Winning the gen can't be the goal with a console that's $500 this far into it, but I find it comical that I'm suddenly being accused of "shifting goals" for Microsoft when I'm normally called a "Sony fanboy".
Folks need new material, it would seem.
If the goal isn't to have the best version(s) of multiplatform games for consoles, then what is its purpose? Have you seen Microsoft say anything about Xbox exclusive tit...
Not sure who said exclusives didn't matter. I said it's not a necessity for an iterative console, not that they don't matter for Xbox. Seems I was spot on when I said the message is obviously lost on many here.
The X is not next gen at all. The power difference between itself and the Pro is not as wide as that.
Right.
@ Digital: Ah, so there lies the problem. Communication. I didn't say the X1X would solve all of their problems. It certainly won't. However, I also won't assume, as this article is doing, that exclusive games are a necessity for an iterative console. The Xbox BRAND needs more exclusives, but I think the point of such a console is to do exactly what it's doing.
In regards to Play Anywhere, they could surely adjust it to work for the future. Like I said, they...
Since there are five disagrees, and not a single reply, I'm curious - what was said that's so off base?
- Best console multiplatform games? Xbox One X.
- Needs exclusives? Not necessarily, but they would help.
- There will be a next generation Xbox? You think Microsoft won't release one when Sony surely will?
- Microsoft's sharing their in-house titles with PC? Fact.
Not seeing the issue.
DRIVECLUB doesn't look better than GT Sport, though. I advise a closer look at the cars, specifically. Outside of weather, GT is technically and visually ahead.
The idea that Sims require more power than Arcade Racers is also bogus, as nothing really supports that. Most developers that make those types of games just aren't going for the kind of visually fidelity that Evolution was with DRIVECLUB.
Exclusive games wouldn't hurt, but I don't think it's a necessity. This machine's purpose is to provide the best versions of multiplatform games for consoles. It'll achieve that. Microsoft is sharing their in-house properties with PC. The ecosystem is there, so all should be fine.
At the dawn of a next gen Xbox (and no matter what people think, there WILL BE one), then I'd expect some 100% exclusive titles to show up.
Exactly.
The Switch has not outsold the PS4 worldwide since launch, Gamingbolt. Gotta keep up if you plan to report the "news".
Yup, best version is easily on the PC (and will remain that way even after the X1X releases). But, for the road, the Switch would be an excellent option.
As for the footage, obviously, the PS4 version is going to look better, but it's nice to see them even pull this off on the Switch!
Nothing they haven't already done on PC. They'll just get the X1X version closer to it.
Based on what?
No. It's outsold by the PS4 WW (EU is just too big of a territory). It's doing good for itself and that's good enough, but the PS4 will remain ahead.
In fact, your criteria is totally unrealistic. Don't let one NPD result make your predictions run wild.
Based.....on what?
Most people know that, though. Most rational people, anyway. ;p
Eh, the PC has the best version, anyway (and has since Day 1). So you can have the leftovers. : )
Or they chose to ignore talking about it in favor of a juicy headline.
With a response like this, I'm not sure he's the one in need of help. At least with basic discussion. You should at least make an effort to debate his points.
That said, I'd prefer for Microsoft to salvage whatever exclusives that they have. Unlike most, I'm fine with the W10 Store, so long as it's functional and I can jump right into a game.
